as long as the current wastage of resources by this present govt continues, pple will strike. as lobg as we see dem politicians in their big bullet proof cars, long wasteful convoys, mansions all over d world and fat bank balances, there'll b strike. When we see that the govt is no longer greedy, and actually using oil revenues 2provide such amenities as needed, health, jobs, electricity n all then mayb pple will reason and not resort to strike. d govt spends billions wastefully n dedicates paltry sums towards pples welfare, give d fee stupid pple shut up money n dey go around shouting praises n all. I keep asking myself, what would Nigeria have been like if at independence our leaders sat down and mapped a 50 year strategy, working assiduously to towards d attainment of these thru different govts since, Nigeria will b in d class of global economies like Singapore (4get dat dey r small). Our leaders throw religion n tribe at us whule stealing us dry, formin activity in some areas n hyping their mediocrity in media n mumus follow singing praises. My brother abi na sister, strikes must continue until it engulfs d whole nation, then we occupy Nigeria and demand good and accountable governance.
ratiken:

If the Government continues to give every labour organization's demand.... Very soon we'll have catastrophe and anarchy in our hands as every group will proceed on strike to pursue selfish/ unattainable interest.

Groups should learn and understand that STRIKE is not the only way to air their grievances and getting the attention of the government. Currently striking is looking like blackmail.

Family / Re: Child Custody Issues: What Do You Advise? by sammoR: 7:42pm On Jul 26, 2014
Didnt really read d last part. If ur daughter is being maltreated, my dear u need a lawyer. U have a very good case. Do all u can 2gather evidence n save that child before u wake up one day and hear she is dead. Moreover, she might grow up with self esteem issues and all that. Get a lawyer and get ur child out of there. And u dont need a big name 2do that. Just get a brilliant lawyer 2put a case 2gether. Might take a while but remember what ur focus is. U'd probably spend like N200k. All these chambers just being put up by young lawyers can do it for u. First dey put d case 2gether, serve him d notice, give a 30 day period for him 2respond b4 a hearing is fixed. U can start after d court vacation in August. All d best
sammoR: Custody issues are very messy in divorce. Buh from all I've learned, its better 2have ur peace, pray for the child that God should keep her 4u even where she is. Except the dad is very irresponsible and the child's growin up 2be a good person is threatened. It's God that takes care of children even tho parents have everythin to do with shaping them. U find some so called pastors' children or children with highly disciplined parents still turning out rotten. Is the girl in good hands? If yes, keep your peace. She will grow up n definitely ask for her mother. It's both ways. For now, the lady shld work hard at putting her life back 2gether. Move on, marry n all. Its difficult i know but be wise. Dis life is short n passes quickly. Issues such as this if not properly dealt with have d tendency 2sap ur life of all reason for living. It's well.

Sometimes things get so messy and very quickly too, and it's like you're heading down the dark tunnel at breakneck speed, failed brakes n all till u get 2dat, how did I get here place. God wouldnt tempt us above what we can handle buh sometimes in disobedience we take on more than we can really handle. Buh then thats y he is God n we r humans. Says he has loved us with an everlasting love, and he looks at us n remembers we r just men. Even tho we fall 10 times, surely like sunrise n sunset, we always get up. So dont give up o.k or wallow in self pity no matter how bad it seems. It all comes and then it passes!

Ujujoan: Thanks guys . . ,

I know it comes off like I'm being stubborn and disobedient, but d truth is that I want a well balanced life for my kids. I don't want my daughter growing up to be an aje butter who has never seen a stream and runs at the sight of a chicken. I want my kids to experience village life like I did. I still remember the sleepless nights I spent looking forward to my village trips as a kids. I have nasty scars till date from mosquito bites but I won't trade those experience for anything.

I want my daughetrs to learn the atilogwu dance and my sons the igba mmuo!

My husband is a modern man who spends xmas in the city and will rather lodge in a hotel than sleep in his village house. His younger sister could not even locate her father's house when she was going home fore her trad! I don't want to raise my kids dat way. Call me old fashioned but I still belive that children should be familiar with their roots!

As for those suggesting that I was careless, I can assure you that that is not the case. I did everything right but these village mosquitoes can pass through anything. My daughetr has a sensitive skin and reacts to ANY change of environment. I expected that and travelled with allergy creams and medication.

The accident was just that, an accident. I left her in the care of a cousin for one minute and it happened . . . I know how lucky I was that she didn't sustain any injuries and for that I'm forever grateful to God.

But she's not just his child, she's mine too. And I don't think I'm stubborn for wanting my daugher to be able to experience village life!
. Don't listen to good advice u hear. You will soon know how far. Pple r talking to you you r yarnin, yarnin... bla bla bla. Some women ruin their marriages themselves. D dog dats destined to get lost never hears d hunter's whistle n d stubborn fly follows d corpse 2d grave. A word is enof 4d wise buh apparently a hundred words might do u no good. Continue o.k.

Its nice they created an aircraft prototype. I'm not putting anyone down but truth be told, personally I think it ws a waste of time and energy. D first aircraft ws produced many many years ago. D latest boeing 787 dreamliner aircraft and airbuses in terms of sophistication n technology show d extent of human genius n creativity. I think nigerian youths shld focus on  inventions that reflect nigeria as a nation to contend with when it comes to witty inventions like d nigerian that created an app last month which apple bought 4 several millions of Dollars. It's just our bad leaders and our own mentality as a people which really needs change. Nigeria has more than enof to expend on research and development to put us among world class inventors. One Nigerian assembles a car using mKe shift cartons n all and we all go screaming invention. We shld see more in us and in our abilities as a people to attempt what has never been done but with ASUU strike n all... God save Nigeria. (Just my own thots pls).

An apt description of who we are and how our leaders know and take advantage of us. But hold on Lagbaja, change is coming cos from these mumus, anger is rising and not long we shall see. Lagbaja we shall need you on the front lines. Blood will be shed, a lot will die, but after that, this country shall be free and our children proud of the sacrifices we made. Wash!!!
OLAADEGBU: The former wife of Pastor W.F. Kumuyi in the Kingdom of God

And we left hell fire and the Lord took me to heaven.

I saw a lady in heaven, very beautiful, she came out from a very big house and only her own the house, she came to me with smiling face and her thought was, she thought I have make heaven, but I wonder who she could be because the glory of God has change her earthly beauty, and the Lord told me "SHE IS THE WIFE OF PASTOR W.F. Kumuyi MY SERVANT”. And I was so happy because she was full of the glory of God. Heaven is so beautiful; the entire place was full of the glory of God.

The Lord show me the river of blood, very cool and look like swimming pool, whenever we sin against God and ask Jesus to wash us, then he will wash us in the river of the blood. And the Lord shows me the trumpet that will be use for rapture and he told me ""MY COMING IS VERY NEAR”. The trumpet was so shining and it was made with wonderful gold. And he shows the preparation for rapture.

The Lord took me to a very big hall and I saw many saint in pure white garment, they were singing, praising God, shouting unto the Lord and the glory of God was in their midst. Heaven is very beautiful and every where was shining because the light there was the glory of God.

David Cameron was questioned for using his despatch rider 2pick up his passport which ws left at home on a trip. Obama paid his travel expenses 2receive d nobel peace prize cos dat award wasnt to d president of d united states but to obama. Thats d level of accountability in those countries. Here d presidents wife blocks roads 4hours, d senator lives lavishly yet our police r poorly paid when in reality all dey shld b entitled to is sitting allowances. There r politicians in Nigeria who have never worked, d likes of David Mark but d average Nigerian sweats daily 2make ends meet. They drive recklessly, flout all d traffic rules cos dey r vip. In our own country! U buy 10 jets, see d amount it takes 2maintain dem, so much money spent on electricity still nothin. Seriously these have 2stop!!

But oga maj007 its ur mind dats closed naa. There r 2sides 2everything ive said. My mind is to yab u small buh Nigerians hate the truth. The perception of almighty gtbank oppressing d innocent is sooo wrong. What I've said is dis: if truely he withdrew d funds mistakenly paid in2 his acct which appears 2b d crux here then he has no case. If he does have a genuine case I'm sure by d time he talks 2d branch manager or raises enof dust som1 will give it attention. lets not appear 2condone dishonesty is all im saying. Its y corruption thrives. Pls see d possibilities from both sides n not one o.k.
maj007:

It will be good if u really hushhh it.

Your mind is not open to unbiased conclusion of this case.

So many things can happen.

What if the deposit and the withdrawal are actually fraud from an in-house teller. Or have u analyse the deposit and withdrawal documents for the transactions.

Yes, that has happened to me personally.

Give the guy the benefit of the doubt first.

Habaa, so much for all these rookie bankers.

D best is 2negotiate. Call cbn or even cjn ur case will be thrown out as many times as u present it. If its like that then armed robbers with excuses of joblessness shld be set free nau. Abeg
labiola: @Sammor. It seems you are staff of GTB, am not dissapointed at your reaction because your Managing Director ( segun Agbaje) lacks respect for customers that is the reason you are calling your customer onigbe jati jati.
I worked with GTBank before though is being long I left them. I will try and explain the process flow on cash deposit.

Let assumed it was true that OP's account was credited with 102,000 instead of 10,200, the teller/cashier that received the money will not balance his till for that day, he/she will have a shortage of N91,800 ( 102,000- 10,200) hence, he put the operation manager on enquiry to look for the difference by calling over the transactions again and again until they were able to identify where the difference arose from which can either be wrong posting as the case above or outright over payment of cash to customers. If that is done, there is no way that the error will not be detected and the transaction will be reversed. Again, let us assumed that the error was not discovered that day and ops has withdrawn 60,000 from the money the teller will have no choice than to pay for the difference and be waiting for the day the customer will have enough cash in the account and reveresed the transaction.
Now back to the case at hand, am sure that the Op's has a good fight if he can go through the proper channel. you can send a mail to thier system and control department, the department is in charge of audit and control. you can also call this numner " 08057101365, 08057008273,08057008200. It is CBN Help desk those guys will work on your complaint and am sure you will get a solution. You can also use the phone number for any ATM issues, i have used it twice and i got my money back sharp sharp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck

@ op o.k lemme apologise 4using those words. Ws extreme. Really. If u do have a case truely, maybe u could write a mail to the complaints unit again or go back to d branch n request 2speak with d manager. I know gtb 2listen. D case should b resolved or u go 2d press n see a lawyer as adviced. But really if u withdrew money dat wasnt urs n maybe 4got or somfin just pay down n move on or try 2negotiate. Wish u luck.

Sammor, you are a big fool.
I dont insult people on this site but I will insult you because on this occassion you deserve it.

I remember an incident in UBA where a member of staff was diverting funds to his accounts non stop. Within a space of weeks,he had acquired a top of the range car and was suddenly planning a superlative wedding!
This is someone who could not even manage to express himself via words, suddenly becoming bold and acquiring a totally different lifestyle.

Unluckily for him,it didnt take too long for the bubble to burst, his boss found out just before his superlative wedding. Now this guy defrauded the bank, customers and possibly colleagues to the tune of millions!!!

I can bet that Sammor you are one of such people and you will be sniffed out of your hole very soon. You sit down in that damn office of your doctoring figures and manipulating people's accounts. You provide the poorest customer service ever but you seem to forget the source of your income are the heavy charges you and your gluttonous bosses IMPOSE on people's account.

Say anymore thrash here and you will be damn sorry. If you are a GTB staff of which you most likely are, best to tell your rogue colleagues and thieving bosses there is indeed fire on the mountain.

1)why wasn't he told when he came to reactivate the account,

2)where did the claim that he took a Loan arise from

3)why did the claim change to atm withdrawal/teller overpaying him theory....

4) when the ATM withdrawal/teller payment issue was spotted why wasn't he contacted via phone or email that he has over withdrawn.

I do not knw the OP from Adam but I think its only fair to give him the benefit of the doubt...same goes for GTB no need for insults and verbal bashing.[/quoteI am soo soo sure he was called back when he withdrew d cash mistakenly credited 2 his acct. Mavor: You're a GTB Bank worker shay? Lol. Na serious gbege una don enter. I have a friend who is an editor in one of Nigeria's top daily newspaper. I should refer him to this thread. This is an issue that affects mostly foreigners that work in Nigeria. Due to the nature of my job, I work with them. They will from no where receive an sms alert for a debit of N300,000 for example. And till tomorrow the bank workers will be posting them and the issue will never be resolved until the foreigner goes back to his home country. The media needs to run an expose on this. I bet CBN is aware of this but choose not to do anything to avoid a scandal in any of the nation's bank. Rubbish Nation.
