it is rather preferable for the money to be in your account,it will make your application straight forward and won't give the ukba any cause to query you. Your dad paying the money into your account is not a big issue,the worst that can happen is for the bank to invite you just for a brief interrogation(which is not common for local transfer).You will be fine if you are able to defend it properly.It happened to me and everything went fine,and was a foreign fund transfer which was a bit complex.

To those having issues with waec result,you can get an acknowledgement letter from waec stating that the result belongs to you and that there was an error on it,they normally send the letter directly to the ukba for authenticity.They used to charge like #5000 some years back,but am not sure if there has been an increment(fuel subsidy for don affect them too ).Because correction of certificate takes time and am not sure if ukba will accept affidavit.Hope this helps.

Thank you I told them exactly the same thing. That is a real issue I am facing right now. They disagreed and said that they are going to use a Lawyer to present the case, attach the birth certificate of both me and my brother, including a picture showing us both, then he will write a letter, the lawyer will also write a letter. Then we will present all these with my brother's statement of account and his hand written letter.
What do you think about this procedure? I was told that the Lawyer has done it, or said he has done it times without number.

You will definitely get a refusal,no doubt about that.The money can only be in your account or your parent's account.the unfortunate part of it is that the lawyer won't tell you the truth purposely because of his personal interest. I also encountered the same problem and that was why I had to defer my admission till february.I got a letter from an immigration lawyer to back up my sister's statement of account but was rejected by my college. If I can be rejected by a college who needs my money what do you think will happen at the high commision that doesn't care at all? If only I had listened to Justwise's advise immediately I joined this forum I would have been in the UK by now.You don't have to waste your money and time,uk visa is one of the easiest to get provided you follow the laid down rules.In order to get more information,take your time and read all the pages in this forum and also the tier 4 policy guidance,you will get all what you need to make your application successful.If your brother really wants to help you,he should transfer the money into your account or if he his not giving you the benefit of doubt,he can transfer it to your parent's account,It is cheaper and safer.

Well I think they are just trying to follow the policy to standard,possibly to have enough time in case there is any delay,they shouldn't be asking for bank statement in the first instance but it is part of their requirements. Anyway i have already made another deposit of 5pounds to update the statement so hopefully I should be set by monday.pls what about the point for English?

They said it should not be more than 21 days(their own policy).highly ridiculous.they said I have to do so before they can issue the CAS.I don't really understand their ways of doing things,conducting a second interview after the payment of the course fee! am unable to submit my application as planned this week, the school i applied conducted an interview(skype) for me on thursday and also requested i update my bank account statement. Though i have already done that so hopefully i should be able to submit on monday or tuesday.

Since you made the deposit after the 28days you can go ahead and apply, don't keep the money in that account for more than a month else you have to start afresh again.

Its 22days now,am planning to get another one if am unable to apply before next week monday.

It has to show opening and closing balance, you can't have opening balance without closing balance in any bank statement.

A letter from your employer is not necessary.

Thanks for your response, what I was told when I complained about this was that the balance after my last transaction is the closing balance, which was 7,306pounds on 14 oct after I deposited 5 pounds the same day.
Is there any step I can take about this?

Kudos to you all.I intend applying for my visa this week as soon as my CAS is out(though I just made the full payment of my course fee yesterday and am not sure how long it will take to be processed).pls I need clarification on some issues:
1.I have the maintenance fee of 7,306 pounds in my GTB account (current account) with the statement showing the opening balance of 7,260pounds on 29 sep and the last transaction I made on 14 nov.does it really matters if the closing balance is not stated?

2.Do I need a letter from my employer in support of my application?

its not true that u would be denied visa if:

1 u laminated your doc(credentials)

2 If u did not add OANDA doc

3. If your school has resumed(UKBA gives schools 2weeks tolerance after resumption so even if extension doesnt come it doesnt matter much so far as u still have 2weeks after resumption )

thanks a lot for all your help. I have an issue bothering my mind about my application i am proposing. i wasn't aware of any policy guidance when i started planning until i had an interview with school i applied to (through skype). My mum actually gave me 7,200 pounds for my maintenance fee while my sister who is in the uk is to be responsible for the payment of my school fees which is 4,980 pounds. My initial believe was that the ukba recognizes funds held in foreign account to that of our local banks here, so i transferred the 7,200 pounds to my sister. It was during the interview i was referred to the Tier 4 of the Points Based System – Policy Guidance when i stated that my sister will be responsible for my school fees and maintenance fund.
To get this resolved, i believe the money has to be transferred back to Nigeria in which the cheapest means by my inquiries is through bank transfer. My concern now is that if the money is to be transferred into my account, who will i claim will be my sponsor, myself or my mum? won't they suspect a foul play as it will show clearly from my statement of account who transferred the money and how it was transferred.Am so confused please help me out

hi everyone,please i want you to help me out on this,i intend applying to a school in uk for the october admission.my sister who is a uk citizen is actually funding it and will be having up to 5000 pounds after paying for the tuition fee.will this be enough for my visa application and will there not be a query for my sister sponsoring me?
