Actually his three man formation which is his Brand of footie was believed to be suicide if tried in EPL and there were those who believed he was fraud because of his European record, and the belief that Juve had no true contender for the title.
Conte was never the only coach to have played three players at the back. He didn't draw the whole Epl fan boys' attention with his style while at Juv unlike pep that has been termed fraud from his days in Barca who only succeeded because he had Messi, Xavi and Iniesta and wouldn't do jack in Epl. Conte was never q talk of the whole world as regards what he can or can not do.
Conte won the league due to lack of European distraction. We can all attest to how much he's been feeling the heat now. My man don dey complain about jam packed fixtures grin

This their new line of argument is just hilarious. You claimed someone is a fraud who cannot do jack in Epl, now that he's doing it, the narrative has suddenly changed to how he's spending his sugar daddy's money.
The question is, did the sugar daddy not make money available for the previous managers?

Sir,
Conte was never regarded as a fraud who will never make it in EPL neither was he playing a brand of footie termed impossible to be played in Epl.

Whether i would want Pep at United or not is irrelevant right now.

If Pep is as special as u pple claim, then why didn't he replicate what he's doing now last season in his first season like he has done everywhere else like u guys claimed??

Fact is he came to England and in his first season, the EPL made him look like a bald overrated Avram Grant with Spanish accent that he had to go running to his sugar daddy for mo money so that he could become relevant again.

If u pple want to hype Pep, that's fine. He's doing great this season. But dont try to drag the EPL while doing so coz we sef can do some dragging of our own....
I have admitted in the past that Pep failed in his first stint at City just like every other manager has failed at one point or the other.

However, my question still remains unanswered. You claimed Pep has to run to his sugar daddy for back up this season as that's the reason he's doing fine. And I asked, was this sugar daddy not around to provide such back up to previous managers? How come he's setting a record already? Why should a certain fraud be setting record in Epl?

Pep is the best and EPL is shït. But lets pretend to forget how he flopped last season and how he's had to rely on his sugar daddy's bank account to become relevant again this season
Should we also pretend to forget the same sugar daddy has been around for a while and also made the money available for the previous managers? How come none of them including the adjudged greatest coaches never achieved the feat he just achieved in the league?
How come the fraud is able to transmit his ideas to his players successfully while playing the brand of footie we were told could never work in the great EPL? Just curious really.

Did you see me mentioning man city in my post that you decided to now write hundreds of words to counter?

Ain't joining issues with pep spending recklessly to win a title, conte won on his debut. My issue is how you guys believe epl is hyped yet, their teams conquered 2 big teams from laliga this term.

He tried it last season, he failed. He had to exhaust the vault to smell the title on his second attempt.

My issue with you guys is not about city or the reckless spender called pep, my problem is that, some of you claimed epl is a rubbish league. So how did the Madrid giants fall in the hands of those mediocre English teams? Not forgetting how Leicester spanked sevilla last time.
He tried it last season and failed while he's succeeding now. But you guys told us he could never do it in Epl while playing his style.

La Liga teams are not doing fine at the moment? Yes! However, should we take Basel winning Man United as Swiss league better than Epl? I guess no!

Funny thing is that his last title he won at Chelsea, he didn't have them playing so defensively in every big game.

Anyways me am just happy that most people that fought and almost killed me when i was complaining about Mourinho's defensive mentality last season have now seen the light this season.
Sorry bro, you guys should just give him an improved contract so that he can continue the good work grin

Blame Lukaku probably for his inability to score but certainly not for the assists made against his team. You should rather ask why a centre defender was the last man clearing ball in the box when he was supposed to be lurking around upfront/in front of the box for any counter or loose ball to pounce on.
Blame the coach for turning his striker to a defender.

We actually warned you guys then, but many were quick to remind us of the trophies he's won by the negative tactics.

You've actually got some valid points. However, my fear at this juncture is meeting a bus parking team like chelsea. Playing against an attacking team presents us with a 50-50 situation. I can't imagine playing against a team like Chelsea with a 3 man defence, 2 wing backs and 3 DMS in Yoko, Kante and Drinkwater, leaving only Hazard and Morata upfront to run the show especially with the uncertainties surrounding Dembele, Messi dropping deep to help our fragile midfield and Suarez a complete shadow of himself. Give me an attacking side anytime any day and let the better team triumph.

When he gives them the final pass, they blow it. But when he's given the final pass, he scores. Mess has got to be somehow selfish if he must win any major trophy with his NT. He should learn to close his eyes to his mates when he's presented with a chance in the box rather than looking for a better placed mate only for them to squander the chance.

But......the Leo I know will never be selfish!

Since you observed that our views are divergent but we support the same team then what is the rationale in engaging in futile arguments about a manager who has left the club? Considering we both agree he didn't deliver on the primary reason he was hired
Nope, you claimed Pep ruined Jupp's work and left the club in shambles, therefore he's a fraud while Dayo holds a different opinion. You keep telling us not to believe any megedefege from anyone when you could have easily told Dayo to stop peddling us with such megedefege grin

We have our opinions about every issue and it doesnt have to be the same every time

Pep won everything except the CL at Bayern, But some said he failed. It wasnt like Bayern was winning the CL every season before Pep either.
Note the great Ferguson won the CL just twice in his entire career. Some clubs havent won it or played the final ever

He had some faults especially with results in CL big games vs Spanish teams but overall everyone involved with Bayern Management players believed we played better under Guardiola vs under Ancelotti
I got your point bro and I can't contest the fact that you guys have had different opinions on this thread. I am not praising nor blaming Pep here at all. I am just wondering why 40 would tell us not to believe whatever 'megedefege' anybody says about Pep as long as it differs from his opinion knowing fully you are the major defender of Pep here. Me thinks he should have just engaged you directly rather than telling us not to believe you.

I have enjoyed you guys debate on many issues here and I'd like to see you both disagreeing on this Pep issue while engaging each other.

I think those that always claim coaching a particular club is easy because of past successes can now see that it's not always easy as it seems.
Anybody can coach Barca - I am still waiting for another sextuple.
Anybody can coach Bayern - Carlo, one of the most revered coaches just got sacked.

To be fair to A40, He was Pro Guardiola for about 2 and a bit seasons. He only went anti Pep right around the middle of His last season at Munich.

The only bone of contention I have with A40's line of arguement is the "FRAUDIOLA" bit. Why the complete switch? How is He a fraud?
It is okay to feel that He underachieved/felt to meet expectation at Bayern which whilst I don't agree with, I understand. However that does not make Him a Fraud.

Carlo is my favourite Coach currently and If someone called Him a Fraud, i'd take issues with that. It's okay to say He underachieved at Munich but abeg He is no fraud.
I have been following this thread for a while. Dayo and 40 have been the major drivers of the thread as core fans. They engage each other and submit their opinions. It's just surprising these days that, while Dayo has been telling us what and what Pep did right, 40 has been telling us not to believe whatever good anyone tells us about Pep knowing fully Dayo is directly involved. They keep avoiding each other on that issue while they discuss together other issues relating to the club.

There's nothing wrong in being a pro or anti, after all, I don't like anything called Mourinho, but that will never make me ridicule or under estimate his achievement over the years. You said he was pro Pep for like two years and now claimed he destroyed everything jupp did while Dayo claims otherwise. So, I'd like him and Dayo to slug it out rather that having them engage the outsiders.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by sebod(m): 8:13am On Sep 30, 2017
Somethings are not adding up here really: Raumdeuter believed Pep did well at Bayern while A-40 believed otherwise. Since these two are the chairmen of this thread, why have they been avoiding engaging each other on this Pep discourse while quoting each other on any other issue?

I will really like to read the lines of arguments between these two Bayern fans and not opinions from outsiders grin

It's really sad to be honest. We should be integrating the younger guys. When EV was newly appointed, there was so much talk about his love for youth. I just hope he'll be a significant progress on Luis Enrique in that aspect of integrating these younger guys.

Well, Busquets is 29. He still has like 4-5yrs to play at top level. I just hope we'll still have Samper by then or a much younger and equally good player that we won't have to break the bank for.

For Iniesta's role, that's even the more pressing need now. He's 33 now, we should be looking at getting a young starter for him from now and within the next 2yrs. Once Iniesta is 35, he'll likely move on from Barcelona just like Xavi. For me, Denis Suarez fits that profile. He'll only get better with more playing time.
Well said bro!
They let go of Thiago, Grimaldo, they didn't handle the development of Deulofue and D. Suarez well then, they kept sending Samper on loan. What about Halilovic? These are the guys we'd all thought would take the club to the next level. Can you remember when we played a champions league game with our team B guys and won convincingly? There can only be one Pep when it comes to youth integration!

No plan for continuity.
This was what got me disgusted about Lucho, I felt he should have handled the guy better.

Pray for Luis Suarez to step up and rediscover his best form, Pray for Nelson Semedo and Osmanne Dembele to completely live up to the hype, Pray for Andreas Iniesta to spend more time on the pitch than in the treatment room, Pray for Ernest Velvede to have sense that Luis Enrique lacked in his final season in terms of knowing when to rotate and when not to rotate. After all these we might have a chance.
Pray that Pique and Titi would stay safe and free of injury because there's no back up for them, pray that Alba and Stegen would always remember the club they are praying for, pray the Messi would not miss any match to injury.
You see, we have to pray for everyone. We are in a very serious case.
