I feel very sorry for this man. He only tried to eke a living in a country which he new offered him better comfort. The only snag attached to this is that he got his hands dirty in doing so. Although, he has violated the law but I think this is not an opportunity to condemn him. If any one in this forum and the thousands and thousands of Nigerians living in America can come out clean with regards to their immigration status, then let him/her cast the first stone. The lesson to learn is to make sure that in anything we do, we do it legitimately because what you sow is what you reap. He never thought in his widest imagination he would be exposed after passing several security checks for 20 years. But his nemesis has come. Back to square one @ the age of 54. Food for thought for everyone.

zenith dear, r u really a lady?? i guess your husband/boyfriend is more faithful than you're (no offence). . . am only juding from your post wink

@topic W. from my experience so far.
during my first relationship, my boyfriend n i agreed that there will be no sex until we decide otherwise, this is because he claimed to be a virgin, i was a virgin too at 22, he was alway preaching holliness n waiting upon the Lord. . . (inwardly i was thinking i have met my rightful partner) . . not knowing he was enjoying himself wt my very best friend . . i was living in fool's paradise. . . dnt ask me how i got to because he confessed himself. His reason? my friend tempted him angry i decided never to trust any guy ever in my life again, because he crushed it.

another experience; my boss has a lovely wife every man will wish to have . . yet he wants to get down wt me (Olorun gbame O!) this "hungry lion" is doing all he can to hv me . . i aint that type so he's now hating me.
a junior worker over here whose wife told me " no matter wht! even if my husband himsef tell me that he's cheating, i will not believe him because i trust him" . . . yet the guy is cheating in the office blue black!

i can go on and on . . . hm u dnt kno this opportunists, adventure seekers . . . i fear them angry

Madeojo,
as per the issue of shares the ECO'S believe more in liquid cash. i have seen a number of people get turned down with huge assets. i am not saying you canT submit proof of assets your sponsor has, NO!. It is also a booster, especially when you accompany it with an account statement where money flows in monthly.

madeojo:

sessyadeg.

Please i need the information aswell. i m planning to apply in the next few weeks. Also i will love to ask about the person sponsoring me if the account is not fat but he has alot of shares hope it is no big deal. Please send all doc to my box yhemi4real@yahoo.co.uk. Thanks

All the info u need about my visa success is what i have shared to the house. just go thru it and extract all necessary info u need. Like i said this ECO'S are concerned about this facts.
1. make sure u dont submit any fake or falsified documents. pls for Gods sake. if someone did it and was successful, it may backfire for you. they are interested in the genuinty of your documents.
2.make sure you have enough money in the bank statement you are submitting. if you dont have at least 50% tuition scholarship then dont submit a bank statement less than 2m.
3. your sponsor matters a lot. majority of Nigerians are turned down becos of the kind of sponsor they use. becos you want a UK student visa desperately does not mean you can just use any sponsor who has a fat account to ease your chances . you will be turned down. Make sure as much as possible that the sponsor you are using is related to you and his/her personality matters a lot. they are interested in his/her societal status, his income monthly , how money flows, any other source of income and how it flows.
3. when your sponsor is submitting his/her  document make sure he/she leaves no loop hole. for every details  about how he gets his money he must submit proofs, whatever proof it may be , just submit proofs of how he gets money. there  are new proofs on a daily basis, so know how your sponsor gets his money and make sure you submit proofs. go thru my quote and you will see the proofs i submitted.
4. majority of you get turned down becos of the poor manner your sponsors write there sponsorship letter. this is very important, i wish i can show you how my dad wrote his sponsorship letter, it was extremey standard, no ECO'S on this earth will read my dads sponsorship letter and reject such an application. he wrote like an intellectual, i was impressed. this is the format for writing sponsorship letters, tell your sponsors!!
a.   firstly, they must introduce themselves and you and there relationship to you.
b.   the resent qualification that you have that has offered you a place of study in the UK.
c.   your achievement accademically i.e scholarships if any/ awards if any
d.   the reason for the sponsorship. they must write like an intellectual, tell them to search googles get latest development in your field of study and how it can be used to develop NIJA, and the importance of the course to them.
e.   how they will finance your studies in the UK it must be specified i.e i will supoort his living expenses,
g.    his status and what he does currently and how he gets his income
f .   the achievements of your sponsor must be stated categorically, from whatsoever year till date, e.g my dad wrote about his achievement right from 1983 when he went to the USA,
g.   As much has possible all that your sponsor stated in his letter must be supported with documents, pls asap let them be original.
h.  your sponsor must end the letter by thanking the BHC for considering your application.
4. tell them in your student questioneer that you will come back to your counttry and state how you will contribute to her development.
5. fill your forms properly and dont ever make a gramatical error
6.always make sure you submit proof of whatever info you have tendered. dont ever make a statement that wont be accompanied by a proof. e.g i was currently serving when i was processing my application, and they wanted to know what i had been doing since my last period of study which was Oct 2006 when i graduated. i have not been doing notting except that i resumed for service MARCH, and i musn't tell them that i am currently serving so as not to be denied, so i had to find something to say that did not require that i submitted a proof. just be wise in your writing.
7. write a personal statement indicating  how relevant the course is to you, the world and your country and what it will develop you into. and also submit your course modules for your course of study.

I submitted my visa application on the 7th of Aug and i collected it back on the 17th of sept after a long wait and desperation. and can you imagine! on my passport the date of issuance was the 27th of Aug so what were they still doing with my docs only God knows. they didnt call me, nor did they call my sponsors, no interview . the visa was just issued. it was issued on the 14th working day and it took them 1 month and 7 days to bring my parcel to the VF centre in ikeja where i submitted. it was actually brought on the 14th which is Fri but i went on the 17th which was mon. infact i did not waste anytime i was already seated in the aeroplane on wed. but i will never forget the torment i went thru waiting for a response from the embassy, i think they just delibertely wasted time to give me heartaches but i thank God they did not deny me. i wish all intending applicants success.
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa by sessyadeg(m): 6:22pm On Sep 26, 2007
I was given my UK STUDENT VISA so pls learn from my experience. firstly i got a 75% special scholarship plus a £1000 chemistry scholarship from my University which covered £10450 of my tution, my tuition fee is £12600 plus an access to £700 per month.if you want to know-(university of nottingham ) among the top ten in the UK. well this is not really the impectus or guarantee that my UK student visa will be given. I processed my visa through an agent and on the long run they abandoned me after collecting 30,000naira on the fulcrum that the bank statement i was tendering wasn't fat enough and that my chances where slim saying people with full tuition scholarship even get denied. but thanks be to God i used my dad and uncle as a sponsor.( now read this carefully- from my dads end he is a PROF at the University of ibadan and he is a well travelled Prof internationally and currently he is a member of WORLD HEARLTH ORGANIZATION. so i submitted all his original documents showing his international visits to about 12 countries, i also submitted all his original international fellowship award , photocopy of his visa pages confirming his visits, i submitted all the original copies of his international invitation letters till date june 2007 in which he just came back from geneva for a WHO conference. I submitted his intl voucher payment from WHO and other foreign universities that was issued to him, i submitted the original copy of his certificate indicating he took an advance course in one of the UK universities, i submitted his C of O, his pay slip for the last 6 month indicating tax deduction, Emplyment letter as a lecturer and promotion letter confirming him as a PROF, a letter from his bank indicating he holds an account with them and he can fund the trip and his bank statement for the last six month, and finally he wrote a comprehensive sponsorship letter, introducing me as his son ,the reason for the sponsorship, and he indicated on the sponsorship letter all his intl visists and that he will pay my remaining tuition and support my living expenses, at this time he had paid £1000 for my tuition, he stated that in his letter and stated that he will pay the remaining £1150. he also stated that his brother which is my uncle who lives in London together with his wife will support my living expenses. my dad had only 750,000naira current acount plus a £3000 domiciliary which is just about 1.5m. From my uncles end, he is a british citizen together with his wife. he wrote a sponsorship letter but in a simple way(my dad had done the job) signed by him and his wife, he submitted his bank statement for the last 8 month( it was a joint account with his wife), he submitted a photocopy of his british passport with the residence permit for his wife, pay slips( he could'd find all his pay slip for the last six month together with his wife, so he wrote a letter to the british embassy to this effect signed by him and his wife), he submitted his P60 certificate together with his wife for the last financial year 2006-2007 indicating his annual income and tax deduction, he submitted his employment letter for him and his wife. Only his bank statement was original the rest of his documents he scanned to me. he only had a final deposit of £3000 although previous weeks and month indicated he has been having that latter deposit infact in a particular month in his statement he had £5000. This ECO'S are not interested in your millions they are interested in the authenticity of your documents, the genuinty of your sponsors documents who they are, what they do, and how money flows monthly, there relationship to you. infact i am suppose to be doing my NYSC but i had to opt out when my visa was issued now i am studying in one of the best universities in the world. I did not tell them in my student questionare that i was serving i just had to find something else to say that did not require that i submit a proof so be wise while filling the student questionare form. all my docs where genuine. i wrote a personal statement indicating my academic interest, i submitted my course structure indicating the modules that i will take, i told them in my student questionare form that i will come back to my country and i stated what i will do when i come back. so please fill your student questionare form very well and always as much as possible use someone related to you as a sponsor and don't just go and pump in millions in your account , this will raise an eyebrow the are only interested in how money flows monthly. and above all i prayed TO MY GOD, my dad prayed , my fiance prayed . and i was issued my visa(multiple for 2years).
