Reason: it is difficult and it will reduce the competition , so why not take the pain to reach the top.

Please once again any CFA pro in the house or link to your contact that has CFA,
just to give us the Salary scale, where you work after.

I know of Citi group and they earn well!!!, but no figures though. That was where I first hard about it and was encouraged to. But my 6years Business Development background is my main issue.

Please some one talk seriously on Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
its a very tough cert but will take you to the top of any world class company or career.
But I don't have much info, just wish a CFA is in the forum to help us out.

Sorry I was only expressing my observation on the forum, What I saw was painful, I know how much I spent looking for a job in Lagos. All the money I saved from NYSC was used for printing CVs and thank God I have a job now, only to see what was happening to all my CVs then, Wetin you want make i talk.
Now i was lucky to drop a Cv at my present Co. the receptionist now my best Pal, dropped it at the appropriate place and 2 mths later I was called for Test , Interview, I came out the Best.
Today less than a year I am one of the best Bus.Dev Executives to the point where my MD and DMD personally take me out to discuss business with top Bank Mgrs. My MD's Secretary told my that the directors are very proud of me.To them I can do no wrong,
so what would have happened if our Recpt through away my CV then? see

Hi folks , Now I see why so many CVs don't get called up. some of these empty brain receptionist who got their job by luck are actually responsible. I was at an IT ciompany yesterday, for my company's business and as I was waiting at the reception a young guy came in with a CV the staff who was their accepted it oOO!!! only for the empty brain Receptionist came in later and threw the Cv away and when the staff asked her to keep it she was so unsympertetic, that I had to ask her if they dont employ. she just rudly said "we are not employing " and I said ok why not keep the CV? the Idiot did not, later I went to her to say I was leaving since the person I was looking for was not forth coming, and i told her where I was from, then the idiot was stattled and was like oh sorry here here he is and i was mad!!!. I told her boss that she kept me waiting without asking me where am from or what my name was, she was appologizing.FOOL!!!. I wonder how she got that job and here she is throwing away some ones else's CV.

Dear Brethren, I just thought of putting this on the forum, I used to work for one Nigerian NGO who are in the field of "Helping Nigerian Universities turn out Quality graduates" but I was supprised that all the money been given by one of their major Donors $180,000.00 @ N 130 =N23M, was used for the self enjoyment of the Executive Director and founders.

Today SA, tomorrow ABJ for medical or , check up! When the Donor sent an auditor to audit their accounts my then ED got a way to bribe these guys out. With over 700 NGOs in Nigeria I mavel why no serious impact on peoples lives until I worked there.

Guys I wrote that test on the 17th Jan 07, for Contract Job for their Finance Dept, the 30 questions were simple but "tasky" basically Maths ( twisted GMAT) and Accounting only!!!, the time was unreasonably too short for such (35Mins). I wonder what they intend to achieve by that. To employ genuses?, I heard the pay is about 160k / mth!!!.

My person telling a lie to get a job in Nigeria is the thing, forget those over church do as I say but not what I do phylosophy, most of the people on good jobs today lied; about Age, qualification, tribe, etc. so you just have to lie a smart lie like counting the number of years you spent from birth to graduation: 5-6-6-4+1yr NYSC. if the companies want 26yrs with 4years experience you will be available, knowing how the Nigerian system of education and NYSC have been bastardised, so who loose??

So it will work for DVDs or at best buy adapter for N200 or there about to attache it and connect.

Don't be scared, there are so many 2.2 people working for big companies like MTN, BAT, Celtel, and numerous others, I made a 2.2 myself and I have a good job, all you need is to read books on management, selling skills, IT, or any area that interests you. but be focused on interview skills, aptitude test books also, so that as you drop CVs they will definitely call you surdenly and by then you would have been very prepared to aswer questions they will ask, these are questions that you would have come across in the cause of reading wide.
No short cut, Pray also, but not ONLY, you must read to know.
