Busy_body: Thanks a lot, you have been much helpful. I believe we needed such solid information. We, me and my husband, concluded important points. I knew that pampers price is so high in Nigeria, you would not believe the price here, it is so cheap, original ones, because they are made here. Pampers and other brands have factories here. And the wipes price, my husband didnt agree to buy from here but after what you said, he agreed Also, your advice on cloth matter under 3-6 months is very good, thanks again, we did not think about it. I guess when one is a first time mother and she see all of these varities, her head turns and wants to buy everything 2 Likes 1 Share |

The varities are so much and the prices are ok. Thanks to God, We bought some things, and other are gifted from my in laws, even I am thinking to bring a bed with me. A friend advised me to buy all Jhonson & Jhonson products (hair lotion& Shampo, powder , etc) and enough pampers at least for the first 3 months especially that it is cheap here. I was told that the pampers pack (12 pieces) in Nigeria costs 1400Naira, is it real! jandor: Amen |

@ Gamine Thanks a lot. VI is far and the traffic is too much. I am thinking about possibilities of rushing to the hospital in critical hours like night or rush hour. @joy2dworld Thanks a lot and congratulations with my heart prayers for easy delivery for you I am in Egypt right now but we may branch Dubai soon before going home. All varieties are here, in fact my head got turned because of what i saw. I do not know what to take and what to leave, I feel I want to bring everything but my husband advised me to ask what we should take and what we will find in Nigeria with moderate prices, espicially that he is afraid of the weight. I thought it is easy job before seeing the shops but i guess it is not. Again thanks for the great help you both gave me, May God bless you |

@titilaelae thanks for the advice. I am four months now. I heard about the long procedures and requirements of Ayinke House, actually I was looking for a private hospital if possible, or do you say no private one is up to Ayinke House. As the baby stuff, I am confused, some of my friends are advicing to bring with me, while people here are advicing that I can get it here. If I can know the average of the prices of this stuff, e.g. carrier baby car, car sit and baby bed, can I get average prices in Nigeria so I can compare and make my mind Thanks again and your Chocolate is reserved securely |

davidylan: Don’t just say NO NO NO, and live the denial case. Bring your proves and I bring mine and we read all and each of us has the right at the end to believe whatever he wants despite it won't make his belief the right just because he believes so. You Asked about samples from Jesus, God's Blessings and Peace Upon Him, Messages in Quran, here are few samples. Then will God say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: 'This is nothing but evident magic.' From Al-Maida - (The Table) 111. Behold! the disciples, said: "O Jesus the son of Mary! can thy Lord send down to us a table set (with viands) from heaven?" Said Jesus: "Fear God, if ye have faith." 112. "And behold! I inspired the disciples to have faith in Me and Mine Messenger. they said, 'We have faith, and do thou bear witness that we bow to Allah as Muslims'". 113. They said: "We only wish to eat thereof and satisfy our hearts, and to know that thou hast indeed told us the truth; and that we ourselves may be witnesses to the miracle." 114. Said Jesus the son of Mary: "O God our Lord! Send us from heaven a table set (with viands), that there may be for us - for the first and the last of us - a solemn festival and a sign from thee; and provide for our sustenance, for thou art the best Sustainer (of our needs)." 115. God said: "I will send it down unto you: But if any of you after that resisteth faith, I will punish him with a penalty such as I have not inflicted on any one among all the peoples." From Ashura (consultation) 13. The same religion has He established for you as that which He enjoined on Noah - the which We have sent by inspiration to thee - and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses, and Jesus: Namely, that ye should remain steadfast in religion, and make no divisions therein: to those who worship other things than Allah, hard is the (way) to which thou callest them. God chooses to Himself those whom He pleases, and guides to Himself those who turn (to Him). |

davidylan: Desperate!! You are funny man. It is a religion that inspired and sent from God through His Messenger to mankind. We are not Desperate to put or remove anything from Islam. Quran talks about more than 25 Prophets, God's Blessings and Peace Upon Them, to show us how people in the past did not believe, what they asked their Prophets and how God punished or blessed them. On the other hand, do you think you really know all about Christianity, do you know that the Bible is really sixty-six individual books, written on two (or possibly three) continents, in three different languages, over a period of approximately 1500 years, by more that 40 authors (who came from many walks of life), On the other hand, the sent By God, Quran is the same one since 1429 years ago. It is the ONLY religious scripture that is diffidently the same from day one. You can search on internet about this fact and tell me latter what does it mean. Do you know that the (doctrine of the Trinity) in Christianity is taken from the ancient Egyptian religions and they called it the life key and it was the father, Osiris, the son Horas, and the mother Isis. Search about it and get some answers. |
Islam for Muslims / Re: All Lie Against Islam by shalata: 11:34pm On Aug 23, 2008 |
davidylan: Jesus, God's Blessings and Peace Upon Him, in Islam is a prophet, a messenger from God. (In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful: But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle"? He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah. He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet. And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live. He hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable. So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)". Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute. It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is. Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight. But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the unbelievers because of the (coming) Judgment of a Momentous Day! . How plainly will they see and hear, the Day that they will appear before Us! but the unjust today are in error manifest!. But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be determined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe!. It is We Who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon: to Us will they all be returned) 19Maryam, verses 29-40 (In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful: And behold! God will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou (did you) say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of God.?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). If I had said it, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, and I do not know what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden. "Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to wit, 'worship God, my Lord and your Lord'; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up Thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things. "If Thou dost punish them, they are Thy servant: If Thou dost forgive them, Thou art the Exalted in power, the Wise". Allah will say: "This is a day on which the truthful will profit from their truth: theirs are gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,- their eternal Home: Allah well-pleased with them, and they with Allah. That is the great salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires). To Allah doth belong the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is therein, and it is He Who hath power over all things) 5 Al-Maida, verses 116-120 Truly, you are right. So, try to imagine someone is sharing 80 lives he must be mindless or senseless Any one loves his wife and fears God will be faithful to her as she is supposed to be |

On the other hand, against false hearsay and misinformation, Islam restricts marriage to more than one wife unless in very restricted and particular cases. Quran is the only religious scripture in the world that says 'marry only one' Quran is the only religious book, on the face of this earth, that contains the phrase 'marry only one'. There is no other religious book that instructs men to have only one wife. It was only later, that the Hindu priests and the Christian Church restricted the number of wives to one, not according to scriptures but to civil development conclusions. (In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful: if ye (you) fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (between them), then only one) An-nisa (In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful: Ye (you) are never able to be fair and just as between women, even if it is your ardent desire: But turn not away (from a woman) altogether, so as to leave her (as it were) hanging (in the air). If ye come to a friendly understanding, and practise self- restraint, God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful) An-nisa 129 However, we must confess that many men have turned this rule as many other to their favorite while others took and spread it all over the world as deforming Islam. It does not need a religion to be greedy |

Is it true It cannt be What a backwardness However, I will comment as it is true, at least because I know how Northern leaders work out their called Islamic law (Sharia) and how they turned it out to be just a political tool while they are out of control, moreover against Islam and its law itself. In Islam, the penalty of death is applicable only in one case, committing murder. (In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful: that if any one killed a person - unless it be for murder (committing murder crime) or for spreading mischief (destruction) in the land - it would be as if he killed the whole man kind and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole man kind. Then although there came to them Our apostles with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land) Al-ma'ida 32 There is nothing like killing someone for any other crimes even for committing adultery. This is about that funny statement. On the other hand, that organization, whatever its name has no power in any law to convict anyone for any crime. It is just mess that gives them the opportunity to claim that. No one, whoever he is, has the right to replace the normal authorities in the society, The Legislature, The Judiciary, and the elected Executive power. |

God (SWT, Glory and Praises to be to Him) says in Holy Quran: (In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful: We have sent thee inspiration, as We sent it to Noah and the Messengers after him we sent inspiration to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the Psalms. Of some apostles We have already told thee the story; of others We have not and to Moses Allah spoke directly. TO DEEPZONE AND NOSSYCHECK God (SWT, Glory and Praises to be to Him) says in Holy Quran: (In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful "Do the Unbelievers think that they can take My servants as protectors besides Me? Verily We have prepared Hell for the Unbelievers for (their) entertainment. Say: "Shall we tell you of those who lose most in respect of their deeds?- "Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life, while they thought that they were acquiring good by their works?" They are those who deny the Signs of their Lord and the fact of their having to meet Him (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works, nor shall We, on the Day of Judgment, give them any weight (value). That is their reward, Hell, because they rejected Faith, and took My Signs and My Messengers by way of jest) Al Kahf verses 102-106 If any one of both of you really is ready to scrutinize our both religions; Christianity and Islam and see at the end WHO IS ON THE TRUE PATH AND WHO IS WORSHIPPING IDOLS, I am here waiting him and ready for challenge. |
Islam for Muslims / Re: Why Do Muslims Face The Moon? by shalata: 6:18pm On Aug 21, 2008 |
This topic and question show great ignorance about Islam. The real problem is that most of information and attitudes towards Islam are taken from bias Western and Christian media, which come with flood of rumors and lies. Many of those lies would be faded if one easily checks any good website. Moslems have never face Moon, they just use it for timing and scheduling their months and duties. They are in this as Chinese, Japanese and many other nations especially those who contributed in Human Civilization early. Allah (SWT) says in Holy Quran: (In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful "They ask thee concerning the New Moons. Say: They are but signs to mark fixed periods of time in (the affairs of) men, and for Pilgrimage. It is no virtue if ye enter your houses from the back: It is virtue if ye fear Allah. Enter houses through the proper doors: And fear Allah. That ye may prosper" Al Bakarah verse 189 I think it is obvious what role does moon play in Muslims life. Moslems face only Mecca, Kaaba, in their prayers as Jews face Jerusalem in their prayers too. And again it is neither to East or West, it is to Mecca whatever is the direction to it. If you are in China or Japan it will be to the South West, if you are in Europe it will be to the South East, while if you are in Nigeria you will be to the North East Why is that? It is another story you can get it easily if you want to know. However, as you do not know where Muslims are doing in their prayers, you will not try to know the true answer of all of your questions. |
Islam for Muslims / Re: Ramadan Question - Sickly girl and her father. by shalata: 1:47am On Aug 21, 2008 |
Alasalamu Alikom, I support so much the conclusion that shuppie said, in this situation both of them are trying to obey Allah (SWT) and do the best in this track. In fact, for first sight, this situation is about love. This family is blessed by Allah with LOVE. The girl loves God and wants to fast for Him, she loves her father so she fasts secretly, the father tries to prevent her and gives out charity on behalf of her because he loves God and does not want to disobey Him, and he loves his daughter and does not want her to get hurt or disobey God. It is a real story of family of love. However, we are talking here about obedience or disobedience Allah's Directions. Who can say that she may bear fast and has the right to do or she can't and she should not do it? Therefore, Sheiks or Imams said that the girl should be examined by a God- fearing doctor and he is the only one to say no, she should not fast and her life will be in danger if she fasts, in this case she must not fast and she will be disobeying Allah directions. She should be enlightened about Allah's (SWT) directions in this matter. Allah (SWT) says in the Holy Quran: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم "وأنفقوا في سبيل الله ولا تلقوا بأيديكم إلى التهلكة وأحسنوا إن الله يحب المحسنين" صدق الله العظيم سورة البقرة الآية 195 BESM ELLAHI ALRAHMANU ALRAHIM " WA ANFIQU FE SABIL ALLAH WA LA TOLKO BE AYDIKOM ELA ALTAHLOKAH WA AHSENO IN ALLAH YOHEBU ALMOHSENIN" Meaning, (And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to (your) destruction; but do good; for Allah loveth those who do good) Moreover, Sheiks said that if it is said by a God- fearing that one should not fast, he/ she will be committing a sin by fasting because he/she might put his life in danger which is not his own property and belongs to Allah. Also, Muhammed Messenger of God (PPAUH) said "IN ALLAH YOHEBU AN TO'TA ROKHASOH KAMA YOHEBU AN TOJTANBU NWAHEEH" or as The Messenger PPAUH said Meaning, As Allah (SWT) likes His prohibitions to be avoided by His servants, as He likes His permissions to be taken by His servants. May Allah accepts from both and give them more love, peace and cure the girl, Ameen By the way, Ramdan mostly will be on 1st September Insha'a Allah, it is announced in some Arab countries astronomically |
