Idris disclosed that the Police Management Team would probe the last promotion in the Force following complaints by many police personnel that their juniors were promoted over them.

He explained that the probe was to address the discrepancies and complaints by aggrieved police personnel, who were allegedly short-changed during the exercise.

Idris stated that the probe panel would be set up to verify if the promotion was in line with the police service commission policy and regulations.

He's obviously not referring to a first class honours from a university. Traditional rulers are usually graded as first class, second class or third class, according to the historical background of the kingdom, its territories, among other criteria.

As a student, I started recharge card/phone booth business with about 15K and within a month a made 100% of the capital as profit. Though, that's over 10years now. I also sold recharge cards during my NYSC days & made some cool cash.
With 100k, I will advise you scan your environment to know what you can do without much interference with your studies.

Talk to your stockbroker or get one if you don't already have. The stockbroker will give you a form to fill and with the information you supply, they will meet the company's registrar and sort things out for you.

Politics / APC & Organize Labour Need To Apologize To GEJ Over Removal Of Fuel Subsidy. by sichri(m): 7:53am On May 19, 2016
Following the roles played by organize labour and the then opposition party, APC, after the announcement of fuel subsidy removal by the GEJ led administration in 2012, I think the APC, its supporters and organize labour need to apologize to GEJ and Nigerians in general.

@Op, from your questions it appears you know nothing about investing in shares and the stock market in general. As advised by time tested investors, DO NOT PUT YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY IN ANY BUSINESS/INVESTMENT YOU KNOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT. Otherwise, it is no longer investment but gambling.
However, if you must invest in the stock market then you need to get a stockbroker. Except you are buying through IPO (initial public offer), which to the best of my knowledge none is on now.

You can invest in toilet roll and servett production.

You can invest in yam and plantain export,a single yam in U,K. averages 15pounds.Work the conversion bro.

Charcoal exportation is also on the table, you need a furnace for this to get the accurate tempertaure to produce the right quality of coal the international market demands.

Yoghurt production can start in a room,if you flavor it you can produce more than one variant.

Shoe production is achievable on a 2M budget..

More ideas?

You can see many of us have been working behind the scene...

If we go into web development i have 1 million more ideas....I have personally stopped waiting for big money and have laucnhed 6 businesses in small steps..
Please I am interested in the toilet roll & serviette production. Can you help with more information?

Thanks @kensandrea, @Maxmmanuel. That's the spirit! No one ever succeeds alone. We need to share ideas through collaboration, mentorship & partnership.
Let's be open minded & together we will definitely achieve more.
Investment / Investment/enterpreneurship Club by sichri(m): 4:03pm On Feb 07, 2016
Dear Nairalanders,
The aim of this tread is to bring ideas, mentors and potential investors/entrepreneurs together with a view to creating jobs, reducing poverty and creating wealth.
This has become necessary because we have observed that a lot of people have funds but lacked the right investment idea(s) while others have investment information but no funds. Therefore, we want to bring everyone under one roof basically to share investment information and we believe that new partnerships can also be forged in the process.
However, every information or personality should be independently verified before taking any action.
Good people, get the ideas rolling in. Mentors are encouraged to volunteer. Let's make Africa great.

Nairaland / General / That 2016 May Be Better... by sichri(m): 1:50pm On Dec 31, 2015
In a matter of few hours 2015 will be history. I'm pretty sure that you have taken stock of you actions and inaction in the outgoing year. However, if you haven't, I urge you to take out sometime to reflect deeply on your activities in 2015.
Once that has been done, take your diary or notebook and carefully carve out your goals for 2016, ie personal, career, spiritual and social goals. The goal setting can either be done in isolation or with members of your immediate family. Obviously, I will recommend the later for married couples so everyone will be on th same page, and more importantly, the goals must be SMART.
Whatever your goals are, develop a workable plan geared towards achieving them.
Let's make 2016 better than 2015.
Happy new year in advance.

Freshboi:
Lord
Before you open your mouth to spew rubbish about this APC government, think of these
(1) The reforms in Argentina are pro western. Obviously, as you are aware, the new president had to obtain a $5 billion dollars loan... something the government is considering
(2) As stated in the article, the peso was allowed to operate in a free market manner.. something the Naira is doing .
(3) From the CNN article, Argentina has Two major exports - soy and oil. For the last 16 years, 80% of our income has been oil. Read in between the lines. Their economy is already diversified. Our economy is about to be too.
(4) Apart from the $10 billion loan, our budget is going to be financed by taxes. It is on record that over 425000 companies evaded tax payment. Imagine if these companies pay $10000 each as tax.
(5) The government is focusing on Agriculture... voting over N500 billion for the meal programme. This will stimulate Agriculture to the highest heaven.
I await your response
Enough of excuses. Let's get the economy working.

@ Op, one of the rules of investment is, do not put your hard earned money into any business/investment you know absolutely nothing about.
Having said that, I think fixed deposit is the best option for you right now. While the money is safe in fixed deposit, though interest rates are very low now, you can take time to figure out a better business with higher returns.
For your fixed deposit, I will advise you to choose GTB.
Best of luck.

Career / Re: Am Confused, should I Go For This Job Interview? by sichri(m): 10:30pm On Nov 16, 2015
Stating that you graduated with 2.1 instead of 2.2 in your online application is an INTEGRITY issue and no serious organization will joke with issues relating to integrity. If you had applied with your 2.2 and still received the invitation for interview it would have been a different ball game. As it stands, do not bother to waste your time & money going for that interview.
