Health / Re: Pregnancy Are You Pregnant Or Going Through A High Risk Pregnancy,,lets Talk by SPDAZZY(f): 1:35pm On Aug 18
Hello mamas,

Please asking for a friend
Please I want to inquire about the health insurance people subscribe to, those that pay for delivery et al. What are the reliable insurance available?

How far along can one be and will no longer be eligible for them to pay for one's delivery.

For instance, if one subscribes at 7months of pregnancy l, has one lost eligibility.

Thank you.

Did the Crowdstrike/Microsoft Outage affect anyone in here. Grateful it was minimal for us but I read that Airports, Hospitals, and many organisations most especially in Australia were crippled.

It affected my GP so text messages were sent to cancel appointments as they couldn't access their clinical systems.

I understand that Lexusgs430 finds humour in everything and some people might not like that understandable. But there is no evidence to accuse him this way. I’ve been following this thread since 2022 and he has been providing lots of advice and information, things more experienced UK people won’t even bother with.

His advice with getting life insurance is one I took and I’m happy I did because I’m almost in a bleak medical situation now.

Sending you best wishes and prayers.

Hi everyone,

Been receiving several threats from my Nigerian banking institutions and MTN SIM concerning NIN linking.

I remember vividly that I linked my NIN to all my SIMs so I just decided to relink again. I have tried to do this without success(banks inclusive) as they are unable to verify.

I decided to check my NIMC app and discovered that my date of birth has changed by a day. For instance it reads the 5th instead of the 6th, the month and year are still accurate. I checked my husband's own and same thing happened to his date of birth.

I don't understand this at all, how does this just change and now I can no longer link to my accounts ( naija just dey stain person white embarassed )

Anyway or where to fix this before the deadline please and thanks.

Some people thinks doing busines with ndividuals is same thing as institutions. Truths hurts but he will learn when normal money return to his account like he it left

But he charged them for the service. Also if the naira had appreciated massively against the pounds, would he have insisted on returning the exact naira value when he gets refunded £3500?

He said he will only give us the amount we paid for school fees in naira as at last year in naira. We don't know what to do because the school may not accept another account.

That's so unfair, so if 1naira had equalled £1, would he have offered the exact naira value you paid after he receives the refund of £3500?

The school is paying back £3500, he should pay you the naira equivalent, he can also charge for his services as he did earlier. You paid a service charge and he should refund your money at the prevailing rates.

I think even the banks refund at prevailing exchange rates, he is just being crook and wicked minded. My naija people!

To be frank anything that will cause headache with regards finances or cast aspersions on the credibility of the funds you are putting before them should be properly ironed out.

You are right, however, since the investment certificate will most likely date at least 2years back since she said she made the investment in her year 3, I believe it shouldn't cause much issues as it's evidently not done for the purpose of this application.

Also given that there is a column for her to input additional income, she can declare allowances from family and friends. This can prove source of investment funds and also as she earns about 190k and she doesn't spend much from it as she says, there must definitely be money coming from elsewhere that takes care of her expenses.

My thoughts though but you and other gurus can give more insight.

Thank you so much for your feedback!
I am grateful.
Please when you said I should declare my investment do you mean I should attach my investment letter from the investment firm to my application? I have it handy

Again the fund I used for those investments I got it from dash( na give de give me) how do I proof where I got the money from because it was since when I was year 3

So when you said I will marry him from there and never come back, I laughed because my parents will never approve such marriage.

My contribution to this is that you should say that you are staying for a week just as you plan as it will even help your chances. Increasing your planned length of stay will only decrease your chances.

As someone earlier pointed out, the minimum validity of your visa is 6months so you don't need to increase your originally planned stay of one week to get that.

Also, it will be nice to declare your investments and savings so it also builds up your personal finances.

All the best!

Thanks a lot for your response. Please will it be possible to pay for the upgrade at tls office if it’s needed after declining the notification to upgrade online?

Not sure about this, you can check the TLS website. I have only either paid for premium online or not at all. I haven't explored paying at the office.

TLS website shows which payment can be collected at the office and which is strictly online.

Please when you pay for premium lounge, does it include scanning and uploading your documents? Or do you need to pay for assisted service again?

You will need to pay separately for assisted service if you need it. Assisted service is not part of premium service.

Also please is Regular with available upgrade to premium mean?

It means you have the option to upgrade/pay for premium. However this upgrade is not compulsory, you can use it to book a regular appointment, just decline the upgrade notification when it pops up if you don't want the upgrade.

I have the Maeco 12litre low energy dehumidifier (the low platinum range ones) I got last year. To be honest, it’s my best investment last year. The funny thing is you will be surprised at how humid your house is even when you are not seeing any sign or mold.

The magic part is the air purifier that helps our young man sleep smoothly when he has flu. Till date, it’s the best money I spent in the UK.

I always forget to share the good news about the product. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks

Better to use closer date and amend later because if they check at the border you will have no justification for stating a 5 months stay if that was not what was on your form.
1 month, 2 months fine… not 5 or 6 months. You give them reason to doubt your intentions and a border officer has all the power to deny you entry. They usually open your visa forms at the border if they want to question you. Personally for me if it is a very long stay you can not justify that your circumstances just changed especially if you have written you have an employment u will be returning to. I would hence book for shorter and change later.
Don’t do penny wise, pounds foolish untop immigration wahalaaa

For a first time traveller, yes. For a frequest traveller, No.

Even as a frequent traveller, sometimes they query a long stay.

Wow, that means it's best to buy an amendable ticket and then move the date further after arrival.

Hi everyone,

Please for return ticket, will there be issues at POE if the return date is 4 or 5months away. Or does one have to use a closer date and then amend the ticket later.

My sister have just be refuse uk visa want can she do when she reply again

I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the
requirements of paragraph(s) 4.2 of Appendix V: Immigration Rules of visitors because:
• You have applied to visit the United Kingdom for 10 days for a family visit. In
assessing your application. I have considered the information provided, your
personal and financial circumstances and the credibility of your trip in the context of
its timing and your stated intentions.
• You state that you are employed by *******''***as a
Marketing Manager earning 320,000.00 NGN (340.93 GBP) per month. I
acknowledge you have provided employment letters and payslips in support of your
application. Having examined the payslips submitted however, I note a discrepancy
in the total earnings amount stated and the net amount after deductions. The
document states total earnings of 355,500.00 NGN less total deductions 35,540.00
NGN which does not amount to 320,000.00 NGN but to 319,960.00 NGN. This
discrepancy undermines the overall credibility of your application. I am therefore not
satisfied that you are employed or remunerated as stated.
• Furthermore, in your application you state you have no other savings and no one
else is contributing towards the cost of your trip. You state that you intend to
personally spend 1,700,000.00 NGN (1811.20 GBP) on your visit as declared. I note
that this amounts to more than five times your monthly income. I am not satisfied this
form of expenditure is proportionate to your circumstances as stated nor am I
satisfied of your intentions and whether you will leave at the end of your proposed
trip.
• Given the above, I am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor
and that you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit. Your application is
therefore refused under paragraph’s V 4.2 (a) and (c) of the Immigration Rules.
Rate of exchange 1 GBP = 938.606 NGN reference www.oanda.com on 20/10/2023

This is sad, so approximation is also an issue cos these figures are literally the same.

I assume the refusal is mainly cos the amount to be spent is X5 of her monthly income as she didn't declare any savings. It would have been nicer if the family she is visiting were sponsoring.

How about home ties, was that also strongly represented?
