yembe2013: HELLO HOUSE. GOOD NEWS FROM CAMEROON
I had my Interview yesterday Feb 19 in the US embassy in Yaounde. Cameroon,
I arrived Yaounde Friday to collect my Medical cert, there I met a guy and a girl who where also scheduled the same day as I was at 9 and 10 am respectively. I was scheduled at 11. I decided to stay Yaounde till the D-day
Yesterday I arrived the embassy some few minutes after 9 am, while being checked in I saw the lady I met in the clinic leaving the embassy, breathing out seriously in relief, she told me she already had her interview even before her interview time and it was successful. I realised then that I would've been interviewed even before the scheduled time. (No wahala)
I descended down to the interview hall and on my way I also saw the guy I met in the clinic running out as fast as he could. It appeared he didn't photocopied some of his documents. (Panic Attack to?? No I cast and bind)
I went in, collect a piece of paper with a code, and waited for my code to show up on the electric board right infront where people sit.Subsequently it did, I paid the $330 =174,000CFA, there I summited my documents and continue the waiting for about an hour and half. I was called upon to give my finger print in another counter. around 1:45 pm or less, my code flashed on the electronic board, and was directed window7
THE INTERVIEW
CO:I will take your finger print again to check if these are you documents
Me: Ok
CO: put you first finger on the machine
Me: I did
CO: ok
CO:I see you a a graduate in blablabla, from the univeristy of blablabla
Me: yes
CO: Ok, what do you want to do when u arrive US
Me: I want to continue to masters in blablabla
CO: Ok, do you have any relative in US
Me: No
CO: ok, the person you'll live with in US, who is he to you
Me: its a coursin.
CO: ok, (removed the yellow shit, wrote on it) CONGRATULATION.SCome this day and collect your visa
Me: Ok, thank you Sir

The guy I talked about was put in administrative processing. Please prepare WELL BEFORE ENTERING THE EMBASSY. And Also PRAY.
thanks to every forumites for the endless discourse. BABA TEMMY TAMMY,I appreciate.

Congratulations!!

I will advice you to calm down and not worry but when the day comes and you go to the interview please ask there how you will include the kid if unborn by then because you will get 3 visas only. By the way there was someone with the same case after the interview and got the visas the wife gave birth i dont know how it went but if you can look for his post and follow him up on how he did it.

How many months pregnant did you say? If its a month then you have no problem and even if she was to give birth next month all you need to do is include the baby's profile and send it to KCC. During the medical test they will indicate that she is pregnant so dont you worry

OUR VISA WAS PICKED UP ON FRIDAY 1ST OF FEBRUARY. PLS I HAVE A QUESTION TO ASK, I WILL BE TRAVELING TO THE STATE, WASHINGTON BALTIMORE IN MARCH, AND I TRY TO GET SOME DETAILS FROM THE AGENTS FOR BOOKING OF FLIGHT, ONE OF THE AGENTS ASK ME WHAT TYPE OF VISA DO I HAVE, I REPLY IMMIGRANT VISA. HE THEN SAID THAT I NEED A RETURN TICKET.THAT I MUST RETURN BACK TO THE COUNTRY WITHIN A YEAR. I WAS CONFUSED HEARING THAT. I ASK MY SELF THE TYPE OF VISA I WAS GIVEN IS IT DIFFERENT FROM THE TYPE OF VISA THEY GAVE OTHERS? PLS DO I NEED A RETURN TICKET?

If you are planning to come back within the one year its not bad idea but just get a one way ticket he is not sure of himself or he is doing sales for the company grin grin grin grin

I dont say what I dont know, the guy did his int, in 2011 we met b4 and after the intrview, there is always a schedule list at the security post that confirms your appointment with the embassy;the list outline the Principal and beneficiary(ies),the guy was asked of others he said they will be joining him later.Asking me to get the guy now sounds kidding, the most important person on dv is the principal,if the principal fails all the bnefiaries fail,as a matter of fact if principal says is not going then the beneficaries have no say.
come slowwwwwwwwwwwlly am not ready. we are here to help each other and so if u feel my post has offended you i say "sorry" oooooooooo the last thing i want is war of words. I back off and leave you go on in this after all my interview is almost and i need piece of mind when i visit this site. Salut grin grin grin

Let me assure you this, my Wife is a whole thing to me, I will never do this to my girl, she is my first, and I want to live the rest of my life with her, I love her tooooo much. I expect my 2NL in May. so If I'm going through the divorce I thing I might have time, but I would like any other better solution. sorry again.
Nice one brother, dont go for that lets listen to adesojiaderemi he has HOPE. Again always write to your consulate office where you are planning to do the interview and ask questions they answer very well and it gives you REST

Capital yes, once you dont pay for them then it shows they are not bound by the interview but if you pay they must show up.
I know you can pay for yourself and not pay for the rest but my worry was that you have to be present with the derivatives at the time of interview. This is where Nuru has a problem, the presence of the wife.

Some one told me, since I have time, I can make divorce, and after some time, I can open file for her by remarriage; what do you think guys?

Divorce not bad, but when is your interview? Please take your time and gather the best shot otherwise you will be mixed up. By the way am am not a brother am a sister and Divorce i wont like it at all. If you suggest it to me if i were your wife. hehehehehe you go and dump me in africa oh noooooooo

Did he include them in his DS230 form? Which schedule list is this? please if this is true then get the guys contacts and help Nuru

Nuru231: I defiantly need US visa, that is why I'm trying to find a solution for my problem, no matter where I'm, I think u know already DV is better opportunity, beside I'm student, I cant stay here after school. the problem is, she can not appear during interview. some minutes ago I call to KCC, and they replay I have to contact to the nearest US embassy.
Please dont force things to turn out the way you want. Whether you like it or not or whether you are going to spend the whole day here waiting for an answer that you want it wont come. why? because you dont want to hear the truth and the truth is No wife on your interview date, No Visa. If you want the visa it shall be given to you when you are with your wife on that very day INTERVIEW date. So go with her and have your visa. grin grin grin grin

Nuru231: Brother jidedon2000@yah, I'm sorry If i worrying you, I say Personal reason, because I don't see any reason to worry house with my problems, I just focused in my questions; If she can't, what to do, and solution. I appreciate any of your solutions. Thank you, GBU!!
Nuru please arrange and do your interview where your wife will be present otherwise things arent going to be easy. By the way did you read the instructions at all when you got your 1NL? To you this might sound easy but the CO cant break the rules. Like the story of seye4God he applied as married with one kid only to add his twins later and the CO told him that she cant break the rules because he was supposed to include them at the time of eDv entry because they were present. Even if he he told them that he can do DNA it could not help at all. So rules are rules follow them if you want to go to America...... Good people tell this brother the TRUTH please he needs it

Nuru231: Brother Yusmash00, she taking care of mom, because she is in difficulties. there is nothing to hide, we are in a smooth and loving relationship. I send my forms to KCC, I don't receive my 2NL, but I need to prepare in advance. just one more, I plan to make my interview abroad (I'm Student in Europe) and my wife is currently live back home.

Most people i know who take interviews away from their homes have high chances of being put on AP let me give you an example. There is this guy from Ethiopia who did his interview in AbuDhabi on 1st of October till now he hasnt received a reply he is under AP. Another from Eritrea or Ethiopia as well who lives in Uganda as a student cam working did his his interview in Nairobi he was put on AP. And yours is still questionable the lady you say is your wife isnt present at the time you you are doing the interview because she is in Nigeria and you are a student in Europe. Aha!! Brother why cant you do your interview in your home country where your wife is or things will not go EASY on you at all. This is my suggestion anyone can add or Correct me

Nuru231: Spoondar, thank you for ur replay, but unfortunately there is no anyway my wife she can do interview together with me, due to some difficulties, and we plan this even when I fill the form DSP 230, that she will join me latter, by the way we have no problem with me, it is only we can't. so, if she can't, why they deny me a visa because of her, what if she don't have plan this time. Do you think I better inform to KCC in advance?

IF you filled the form as SINGLE then you will go for the interview alone BUT if you filled the form as MARRIED and then in the DS230 form question 31b you wrote that your wife will follow later, You will still go to the interview with her get your VISAs but she remains and follow you later on. This is a Rule in the DV and can not be BROKEN. OR You will both go to the Consulate office and you pay VISA fee only for yourself but she should be present.

Step 4: Your Interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate Abroad

After all of your forms have been received and approved by the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC), based on visa availability, you may receive an interview appointment letter indicating the date, time, and location of your visa interview. You will need to be present at the interview, as well as your spouse and children (as applicable) who are applying for a diversity immigrant visa.

Note: The completed original Form(s) DS-230, Form DS-122 and photographs you submitted in Step 2, will be sent by KCC to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where you will be interviewed.

Why are guys still sending their packages to KCC by postal mails when you can conveniently send same by e - mail attachment and save close to 20 thousand naira or more?.

I sent mine by scan attachment to KCC having confirmed from them, got a receipt reply in 4 days and i have since received my 2nl within 8 weeks and scheduled for interview next week. Lets save some more money by adopting cost saving and faster methods.
Sometime back i tried to tell someone here in Nairaland to do that he TOLD me that money is not a PROBLEM so he will send by courier grin grin hehehehehe people dont want to embrace Electronic Processing of things, infact i had an issue with my relative in US when he was sending me his Bank Statement and letter for me to use at the Embassy he insisted that i look for a fax machine because he will fax them. I looked for this damn machine in town and it was hell for me. He couldnt understand how he can scan and send as an attachment so he wanted to do it the old style that he has been doing for the past 30yrs this is what he told me.

Also to tahnk other forumites for your wonderful contributions to this success story of mine. I want you guys to know that you are very important and beleive that when God is involved in a thing he will always create an avenue to ensure that that thing comes out successful especially when we rely absolutely on Him and not our own strenght. I had so many quetions in my mind after receiving ma 2NL, but didn't know how to get answers until someone introduced me to this new family i never knew i will have, that is you(Nairaland Forum), yes you that is reading this message. Thank you so much for your encouragement, guidance and challenges. My prayers are that God will make us all useful to our selves, to Him, to our families, to our country and the world at large.Only be positive and good cos it pays to be good and a great loss to be evil.
And to the gurus (names ommited) in the house , you know urselves and we all know you keep up with the good job, only God can pay you.

Now here is my interview experience.
I arrived the embassey at 5:55am, waited outside till abt 6:30am before we were asked to queue up for the security checks and finally to the interview hall at about 7:15am.
waited with anticipation to see how this white lady at window 16 looks like, finally she came up and another gentle white man in window 15 and yet another at window 13. befor this, our numbers were called at different windows for submission of our documents by blacks, and my docs were collected at window 16, so i felt that was it, that i will be interviewed at that window, but to my surprise it was window 15 that later called my number.

And form was sent to KCC through scan by email and they replied with the following message

Thank you for your inquiry.
That is a Typo error and they understand them. Just fill the correct date, scan it and send it thru email. Dont you worry because you got married before the results were out so there wont be problems but please know each other well as in the side you sleep on your bed etc etc etc all will be well
