Sports / Alexis Sanchez Will Earn £60k-a-week More At Manchester United By Snubbing City by Sport4all(m): 8:05am On Jan 14, 2018
ALEXIS SANCHEZ can earn an extra £60,000-a-week by snubbing Pep Guardiola for Jose Mourinho.
Desperate Manchester United boss Mourinho will “fight” to land the Arsenal contract rebel this month.
Alexis Sanchez will earn an extra £60k-a-week if he joins Man Utd instead of City
He plans to hijack the striker’s move to City by offering Sanchez a whopping £350,000-a-week wages and a £25million signing-on fee.
Mourinho will also pay Arsenal £30m and Sanchez’s agent £5m — fees Guardiola refuses to cough up.
The Special One said: “Normally investment in the squad is made in the summer. We build a squad with this idea, this philosophy I share with the club’s owners.
“But if there is a fantastic opportunity on the table, you fight for that. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t.” Arsenal are demanding £35m for 29-year-old Chile international Sanchez.
And although he has his heart set on a reunion with his old Barcelona boss Pep, City are only prepared to offer a £20m transfer fee and £290,000-a-week salary. They also refuse to pay agent Fernando Felicevich £5m in commission.
Emirates boss Arsene Wenger has finally conceded his star player could be sold this month and would love a bidding war in Manchester. The Frenchman is already preparing for life without Sanchez and earmarked Bordeaux’s £44m-rated Brazilian winger Malcom, 20.
Sanchez now has to decide whether to join City this month, wait until the end of the season and move as a free agent, or take the huge windfall on offer and join United now.
On top of the cash, Mourinho is also ready to throw in £27m-rated Henrikh Mkhitaryan as part of any deal. Former Arsenal star Paul Merson told Sky Sports: “Mkhitaryan is one of the best players in the Premier League, his confidence is just shot.
“If Arsenal could get him playing like he was at Borussia Dortmund, they would have one of the best players in the league.
"But if Sanchez chooses to go to City, that’s a real custard pie to United.”

Sports / Jose Mourinho Describes Alexis Sanchez A ‘phenomenal Player’ by Sport4all(m): 4:36am On Jan 13, 2018
JOSE MOURINHO has described Alexis Sanchez as a ‘phenomenal player’ as the battle between the Manchester clubs for the Arsenal star hots up.
Arsenal want £35million for Sanchez which Mourinho is ready to match this month rather than wait until the summer.

Alexis Sanchez played for Arsenal against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup
And Mourinho said: “At the general level what I can say is myself and the Manchester United board and owners, don't believe a lot in the January market.
“We don't believe in signing a player just to sign a player, just to do something. We don't believe in that.
“What we believe really is there are some players in the football world if you have the chance to sign them in January, March or July, you have to try and that's it.
“But in relation to Alexis Sanchez I don't say a word, the only word I can say is that he is a phenomenal player, apart from that he is an Arsenal player and I feel I shouldn't say much more than this.” United are certainly desperate for another goalscorer with Zlatan Ibrahimovic still struggling to fully recover from his knee injury.
Ibra has made two starts and five as sub since returning from injury but is now sidelined after suffering a setback in the 2-2 draw with Burnley. Mourinho said: “Zlatan is injured or is not totally happy with his condition.
“He fought like a tiger like he likes to say to be back, which he did, he was starting having minutes here and there and had a start and had 60 mins in one game, started another one and had 45 and he was not happy with his feelings. “He consulted other doctors, other opinions and we all make the decision to stop, treatment and when feeling really good come back to the work and the date for him to be back to training with the team was around end of January beginning of February.
“So let's hope his feelings are better and we have him with us as soon as possible.”

Sports / Man City We’re Lucky And Our Defending Was Disgraceful - Jose Mourinho by Sport4all(m): 8:12am On Dec 11, 2017
JOSE MOURINHO has called Manchester City “lucky” while branding his own team’s defending “disgraceful” after Manchester United lost 2-1 at old Trafford.
David Silva opened the scoring for Pep Guardiola‘s visitors in the 43rd minute before Marcus Rashford levelled the scoreline late in the first-half.
Jose Mourinho has branded Manchester City as foulers 24 hours after calling them divers
City regained their lead in the 54th minute through Nicolas Otamendi’s volley and the Premier League leaders held on for the victory.
The Sky Blues won the game to go 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League.
The Manchester United boss suggested the Premier League leaders were fortunate to seal a record 14th consecutive win.
Mourinho told Sky Sports: “I think they are lucky, I think they have all these decisions in their favour. “We can speak about anything you want, we can bring any football theory, stats, ball possession, everything you want but like last season it is a huge penalty in a crucial moment.
“You expect City to score great goals, not to score two disgraceful goals.
They had apparent control of the game but the biggest save is the double save of their goalkeeper [Ederson].”
Mourinho was also critical of Michael Oliver performance, in particular, the referee’s decision to book Ander Herrera for diving rather than award his side a penalty. “Clear penalty. I am sorry for us, sorry for Michael [Oliver], I think he had a good performance, but it’s a clear penalty,” said Mourinho.
“The ref made a mistake, which can happen. Last season we had a similar situation here against City, winning 2-1 and Mr Clattenburg didn’t see the penalty; Claudio Bravo on Wayne Rooney.
“It is a clear penalty. I am sorry for Michael Oliver because I think he had a good performance.”
When asked if he believed City’s players went down easily, Mourinho said: “True. OK.
“The referee is a human being, he tried his best, I think he was very committed to have a good a match, which I think he had, but he made one mistake that is a crucial mistake for the result of the match.”

Sports / Manchester City Are ‘foulers’ - Jose Mourinho by Sport4all(m): 7:01am On Dec 10, 2017
JOSE MOURINHO called Manchester City ‘foulers’ last night — 24 hours after he branded them divers.
The United boss has put ref Michael Oliver on red alert for today’s derby, pointing the finger at how City’s stars stop counter-attacks.

Jose Mourinho has branded Manchester City as foulers 24 hours after calling them divers
Mourinho said: “Many times, they need what is called a tactical foul. It is a strategy that they have. I know.
“When they lose the ball, they are many times unbalanced in numbers, they have lots of people surrounding the ball area and they have a very strong transition in the next few seconds after they lose the ball.
“And many times, they need what is called a tactical foul and then it is up to the referee to analyse and make a decision.
“My answer always has to be, ‘The referee has to do his job’ and I cannot speak about the referee.” The Special One has already sparked a row over City players and how they “lose their balance very easily”.
He has also questioned whether Pep Guardiola should be able to wear his yellow ribbon to support Catalan politicians over their fight for independence from Spain.
Leaders City go into this afternoon’s hotly-anticipated showdown eight points clear of second-placed United.
A repeat of last season’s 2-1 win at Old Trafford would see Guardiola’s men almost out of sight. Mourinho says the officials play a key role in derby clashes.
In last season’s fixture, Mourinho insisted Mark Clattenburg should have awarded a penalty for Claudio Bravo’s challenge on Wayne Rooney.
He said: “What did it teach me? It taught me if you make naive mistakes, you are punished by that.
“It taught me also that they always try to do their best but an important referee mistake can affect the game and in that game the result was clearly affected by a big refereeing mistake.
“It was a penalty and a red card to Claudio Bravo, in the beginning of the second half with the result 2-1.”

Sports / Chelsea Can't Afford Slip-ups - Willian by Sport4all(m): 7:22am On Dec 08, 2017
Willian says Chelsea have no margin for error if the reigning champions are to maintain their Premier League title challenge at West Ham United this weekend.
Antonio Conte's side fell short in their bid to wrap up the opening stage of their Champions League campaign as group winners following a 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid.
The failure to beat the Spanish side means they risk drawing Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain in the knockout stages of the competition.
Chelsea boss Conte, though, will be anxious his players forget about the European campaign that is now on hold until the New Year, and set about the task of closing the eleven-point gap to Premier League leaders Manchester City. Saturday's trip to the London Stadium marks the opening game in this weekend’s round of fixtures and a Chelsea victory would lay down a marker before City meet second-placed United in the Manchester derby the following day.
With Pep Guardiola's side showing no sign of faltering, Chelsea midfielder Willian is well aware the pressure is on Conte's team to avoid any slip-ups.
"We have to win," the Brazilian told the London Evening Standard. "We are playing away. Of course, it's going to be a difficult game. But I think we can get the three points." Alvaro Morata will shoulder responsibility for leading Chelsea's attack and try to extend a scoring run that has brought three goals in his past five Premier League games.
Morata, 25, who has settled well at Stamford Bridge, says he has no regrets about leaving Real Madrid in the summer transfer window and credits Conte with helping him improve as a player.
"Antonio Conte helps you to grow because you can never get too comfortable or find a comfort zone," he told the Evening Standard. "He wants every single one of us to give our maximum.
"Last year I wasn't playing often. Now in every game there's a real chance of playing -- if you train well you are going to play."
Conte will select from a position of strength against West Ham, with centre-back David Luiz the only player expected to be sidelined with injury.
The Italian was given a clear warning his side cannot expect an easy ride against the Hammers during the east London side's trip to Manchester City last weekend when they lost out to a late goal.
David Moyes believes he has made progress in the four games since he succeeded Slaven Bilic, even though the club is still mired in the relegation zone.
Adrian, who replaced Joe Hart at City because the England keeper was ineligible to face his former club, said: "We made things difficult for City. I think we should continue with the line of defending well and looking dangerous when attacking.
"It is clear that we have a difficult streak against teams from the top of the table but it is also clear that all Premier League matches are difficult. We have to always play with the same mentality, to get points and go match-by-match."
Moyes must decide whether to recall Hart and is hoping Winston Reid will be fit enough to return in central defence.

Sports / Manchester United Will Sit And Defend In Manchester Derby by Sport4all(m): 7:30am On Dec 07, 2017
Jose Mourinho will be happy to sit back and defend against rivals Manchester City in Sunday's crunch derby live on Sky Sports, says Matt Le Tissier.
The first instalment of the Manchester derby arrives this weekend, with United eight points behind their neighbours and the closest contenders to Pep Guardiola's Premier League leaders. United will be desperate to avoid defeat in order to give themselves a fighting chance of winning the title and Le Tissier believes Mourinho would be foolish to try to match City attack for attack, despite the contest being played at Old Trafford. "I think the way City are at the moment he'd be foolish to try play against them as 'you have an attack and we have an attack,'" Le Tissier said on Sky Sports Premier League Daily. "They have got the better attack, they've got the best attack in the Premier League by a mile in my opinion. I think there has to be a game plan involved [on Sunday] and if that means sitting deeper at home I don't think Jose will have a problem with doing that."
The fixture will see Mourinho make a call regarding his striking options and whether or not to play Romelu Lukaku up front with the returning Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
United's £75m summer signing has struggled for form in recent weeks, with speculation mounting that he may be dropped from the starting XI. The Belgian got back among the goals in midweek, however, hitting the back of the net as United came from behind to beat CSKA Moscow 2-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday to win Group A and seal progression to the last 16.
Despite the criticism, Le Tissier believes Lukaku has done enough already to justify his hefty fee.
"He's got enough goals, perhaps not enough goals against those big boys but enough to justify the money that was laid out for him," Le Tissier said. "However, with Ibrahimovic coming back it does put that little bit of extra pressure on him so last night's goal (CSKA) was important because then he continued that run, if not then there's pressure on Jose to put Ibrahimovic back in that team after what he achieved last season."
However, one man who will be missing this weekend is the Premier League's most expensive footballer Paul Pogba, who begins the serving of a three-match suspension following his red card picked up at the Emirates for a dangerous challenge on Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin. The France international is another player Le Tissier believes has lived up to an eye-watering price tag, and will be a huge miss for Mourinho as United's driving force.
"Last season because of that tag people were expecting so much more of him which perhaps he didn't quite live up to, because of that bedding in season there," Le Tissier said. "I'm expecting him to kick on this season, and he has done, He's missed a few games through injury but there's been a big difference in that United side with him in the team.
"It appeared that United were scoring so many goals more. You can see when he returned to the team they started scoring freely again. You look at that price tag now and think, 'it's not that bad really is it?'"

Sports / Nigeria’s Group The Closest Thing To A WC 2018 ‘group Of Death’ by Sport4all(m): 7:21am On Dec 05, 2017
SCAN the 2018 World Cup groups and it quickly becomes apparent that the pre-tournament favourites have been kept apart.
That is predominantly because of Fifa's new ranking-based format for determining the groups.

England have been handed a reasonably favourable group for the 2018 World Cup
Although Spain and Portugal will face each other while Belgium and England will go head-to-head for what you imagine will be top spot in Group G.
It means there won’t be a traditional "Group of Death" in Russia next summer, however, that doesn’t mean all the major nations are guaranteed their place in the knock-out stages.
So we asked our friends at Football Whispers to analyse the groups and determine which is the hardest and who is likely to secure their places in the last-16.
It would be easy to focus on Group B and determine it’s the closest to resembling a Group of Death. Spain are still unbeaten under current boss Julen Lopetegui while Portugal are reigning European champions.
Morocco have a talented side, too, but Iran are weak and should be cannon-fodder for the three other sides. Spain are still unbeaten under current boss Julen Lopetegui while Portugal are reigning European champions.
Morocco have a talented side, too, but Iran are weak and should be cannon-fodder for the three other sides. La Albiceleste’s qualifying campaign was, largely, a shambles.
They went through three different coaches and needed a Lionel Messi hat-trick in their final qualifier against Ecuador to ensure their place in Russia next summer.
Few countries can boast the wealth of attacking options at Jorge Sampaoli’s disposal but coming up with an XI and system that, firstly, gets the best out of Messi and, secondly, resembles a structured side has been difficult.
Diego Maradona, a god in Argentina, is far from convinced about his country’s performances.
He said after taking part in the draw: "Argentina cannot play any worse than they are doing. They have a manageable group but they have to improve."
Fail to do so and that “manageable group” will become far harder than Maradona anticipates. Group B also contains Croatia, Iceland and Nigeria, three sides who have very differing qualities but can cause problems.
Croatia are a team of many gifted players; from Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic in midfield to Ivan Perisic and Mario Mandzukic in attack.
They may not have entirely convinced in their qualifying campaign and needed to go through the play-offs to ensure their participation in Russia, but any team with the individual talents of the above players can cause problems against the best in the world.
Nigeria, too, have talent in their ranks and faced a Messi-less Argentina in a recent friendly in Russia.
The African nation came from two goals behind to clinch a deserved 4-2 victory thanks to a goal from Leicester's Kelechi Iheanacho and a hat-trick from Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi.
It proved that when everything clicks, the Super Eagles, despite sitting 50th in the Fifa rankings, can be a threat to any side.
And then there is Iceland, who will be competing at the World Cup for the first time. The Nordic nation proved at Euro 2016 that while they may not possess a team of stars – Everton’s Gylfi Sigurdsson is their biggest name – they are a side who are greater than the sum of their parts.
England found that out to their detriment in France last year and Iceland finished above Croatia in their qualifying group, so are capable of making the knockout stages.
It all means Group D is genuinely the hardest to call.
If Argentina under-perform there is a very real possibility they make an early exit.
But the belief is that Sampaoli will be able to devise a tactical structure that gets the best out of his talented players by the time they arrive in Russia.
That could mean three very good sides scrapping for one place.
It’s tough to call but Croatia’s tournament know-how could prove too much for Iceland, while Nigeria will need to stamp out the inconsistency which has seen them lose to Benin and South Africa in this year.

Sports / I Felt Unbeatable Against Arsenal - Man United's David De Gea by Sport4all(m): 7:33am On Dec 04, 2017
David de Gea says he felt unbeatable during Manchester United's 3-1 over Arsenal on Saturday.
The Spaniard single-handedly kept the Gunners at bay with 14 saves at the Emirates, a joint-record in the Premier League since records began. Jose Mourinho heaped praise on the shot-stopper following his match-winning display, labelling him the "best goalkeeper in the world". After United went 2-0 up within 11 minutes, De Gea was forced to pull out some brilliant stops as Arsenal launched a wave of attacks with only a close-range effort from Alexandre Lacazette early in the second half beating him. When asked if he felt unbeatable, De Gea told MUTV: "Sometimes, you just start a game with a really good save, with a good feeling, you feel that [unbeatable] but we started the game really well, we scored two important goals and it's true that we lost a bit of a control of the game after, but it was a good performance." Saturday's win earned United their fourth league victory in a row, the first time they have achieved that feat this season, setting them in good stead ahead of a tough week of fixtures which concludes with the top-of-the-table derby against Manchester City on Sunday, live on Sky Sports Premier League. "We're really happy. I think they were both very tough games away from home so we now have confidence to play the last Champions League group game and after that, the derby," added De Gea.
"We're really confident now, we score many goals and this is the key as we look forward to the next game

Sports / Jose Mourinho Launched An Amazing Rant by Sport4all(m): 9:55am On Dec 03, 2017
JOSE MOURINO launched an amazing rant after losing Paul Pogba for the Manchester derby.
Pogba was dismissed for a stamp on Hector Bellerin and automatically gets a three-match ban – but could get MORE for sarcastically applauding ref Andre Marriner.
Jose Mourinho is not a happy man despite leading Man Utd to a 3-1 win against Arsenal
Mourinho says that Laurent Koscielny tried to get his France team-mate red carded with his reaction to the tackle.
The Special One also had a pop at Marriner for failing to send off Koscielny for hauling down Romelu Lukaku when through on goal.
He accused Arsenal players for DIVING to try and win two late penalties.
And he also had a cheeky dig at Arsene Wenger for playing Alexandre Lacazette after ruling him out earlier in the week. But his biggest disappointment after a stunning win in a Premier League end-to-end classic is losing Pogba against Manchester City in a title-showdown clash next week.
He said: “I just know that Paul is frustrated, a bit disappointed with his colleague Koscielny, with this kind of reaction. “But Paul is frustrated. Everybody knows Paul is a clean player and it was not his intention, not at all, to be close to a red card.”
Antonio Valencia and Jesse Lingard had United two goals ahead after 11 minutes. Then Arsenal fought back by piling on the pressure – with only the amazing form of David De Gea stopping him. The Spaniard made 14 saves, which is a record for a Prem game.
Mourinho said: "I told him after the match: what I saw was the best goalkeeper in the world. In big matches you want your keeper to be there for you.”
But eventually Lacazette pulled one back despite being ruled out with a groin injury by Wenger ahead of the game.
Mourinho said: “My medical department managed to recover Matic from a ‘maybe’ to a ‘yes’. Arsenal medical department managed to recover a player from a ‘no’ to a complete 90 minutes. Amazing. I congratulate them all.” Lingard then wrapped up the win when he tapped in – but there was late drama. Koscielny could have gone for a straight red for hauling down Lukaku.
Then Arsenal could have had two penalties when Matteo Darmian took down Lacazette, then Chris Smalling took out Danny Welbeck.
Mourinho said: “If it's not a penalty, it's not a penalty... I know the pitch is amazing, maybe creates a desire to go to the floor. If it was hard, no, or mud, no.
“The pitch is absolutely beautiful.”
Wenger was upset with his defenders at the start of the game. Shkodran Mustafi limped off straight after his gaffe for Lingard’s goal – and Wenger hinted at not being happy with the German.
He said: “I don’t know what he has. I don’t know what is wrong with him at all.”
“After that I feel sorry for the players as the spirit was outstanding, so was their quality of their performance and at the end of the day we weren’t efficient enough as we didn’t start well enough in areas where it matters.”
The Gunners boss was not happy with Marriner either and claims turning down the penalties could have been linked to failing to send off Koscileny. He said: “Maybe. I don’t know every situation in the game. Last night I watched Napoli v Juventus on TV and we watched a top-class referee.
“If you want to analyse well , watch the difference between them and us and then you will see. Is it right or wrong?
“I am. I have to watch them again but I thought they were penalties. I hope at Old Trafford it will be the same.”
Wenger also clashed with United assistant Rui Faria but said: “I am not unhappy with their bench. They defend their game, I defend my game and sometimes it is heated – that is part of it and absolutely normal.
“I just angry that the quality of that we have a quality performance and have nothing to show for it. In games like that you have to be efficient.”
Mesut Ozil, linked with a move to United, was pictured after the final whistle hugging their backroom staff, who he knows from their time together at Real Madrid.

Sports / Find Me A Magician - Jose Mourinho To Scouts by Sport4all(m): 8:21am On Dec 01, 2017
JOSE MOURINHO has ordered his worldwide web of scouts to ‘find me a magician’.
The Manchester United boss fears his team’s lack of creativity is the reason they are trailing leaders Manchester City by eight points.
Jose Mourinho has told his scouts to find him a magician to sign in the January transfer window
Mourinho is determined not to play second fiddle to great rival Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.
And he believes signing a player who can unlock the tightest of defences — a ‘magician’ as he labelled it — will help his team close the gap.
Mourinho wants his new man in the January transfer window.
But he knows top targets like Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann are out of reach, while even United’s financial muscle cannot match the £198million Paris Saint-Germain splashed on Neymar. Old Trafford chief Mourinho has already spent £300m since taking over 18 months ago.
The club’s owners are willing to back him further if his man can be found at the right price. Despite lagging behind City, United are having a good season.
They are in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup, virtually through to the knockout stages in the Champions League and second in the Premier League. And United will get the chance to eat into City’s lead when they clash in the Manchester derby at Old Trafford next Sunday.
First up is tomorrow’s tea-time trip to fourth-placed Arsenal.
But United go into that huge Premier League double-header boasting the best defensive record in the division.
They are also buoyed at having scored the second-most goals in the Prem — only behind City.
Their 4-2 win over Watford at Vicarage Road on Tuesday night was the eighth time in all competitions this season that they have hit four goals in a match.

Sports / I Wait For Arsene Wenger But He Never Came - Antoine Griezmann by Sport4all(m): 5:11pm On Nov 29, 2017
ANTOINE GRIEZMANN has vowed never to join Arsenal after the club opted to sign flop Yaya Sanogo over the France star.
The forward was told by the Gunners in 2013 that he was top of their transfer wishlist and Griezmann should "put aside all offers" to join the north London club.

Antoine Griezmann has vowed not to join Arsenal at any point in the future
Written in the 26-year-old's new book, transfer speculation began when Griezmann's agent, Eric Olhats, was in contact with Arsenal scout Gilles Grimandi.
Grimandi had told Olhats on several occasions that boss Arsene Wenger wanted to sign the exciting talent who was playing at Real Sociedad at the time.
Griezmann revealed how he "kept waiting" for the chance to join the Gunners until they went elsewhere on transfer deadline day.
In his book, he writes: "I waited, I waited, and I kept waiting … when there was no news, Eric called Grimandi, who said that the manager was still interested in me [and] to keep waiting. “Finally a few hours before the market closed, he let us know Arsenal would not make a move. I don’t like to be told something and for it not to happen.
"So when Eric told me later that the London club were interested again I told him: ‘Forget it, after the blow they gave us.'” Arsenal ended up splashing out on the likes of Mesut Ozil whilst Sanogo also joined on a free transfer. Now Griezmann is in the middle of a transfer tug-of-war between Barcelona and Manchester United. Reports claim that Barca have agreed a deal in principle to land the Atletico Madrid ace but the Red Devils have been long-term admirers.
His transfer fee could reach a whopping £100million after Griezmann penned a new deal this summer.

Sports / Laurent Koscielny Told Him He Wants To Leave Arsenal - French Club’s President by Sport4all(m): 7:13am On Nov 29, 2017
LAURENT KOSCIELNY has reportedly told former club Lorient he wants to leave Arsenal to return to the French side.
The defender has been at the Gunners since 2010 and has become one of the first names on Arsene Wenger's teamsheet due to his displays at the back.
Laurent Koscielny has told Lorient he wants to leave Arsenal
However, the 32-year-old has no desire to stick around in North London for the rest of his career, and it appears he already has his exit planned out.
At least that is according to Lorient president Loic Fery, who claims Koscielny informed him of his desire to head home despite being under contract at the Emirates until 2020.
Fery told Canal+ Sport: "He told me last week in London that he wanted to finish his career at Lorient."
Koscielny has been a major player for Arsenal over the past couple of seasons in what has been a rocky period for the club. The vice-captain has helped them to three FA Cup victories, but they have failed to mount a serious title challenge.
And last year they missed out on qualification for the Champions League. However, the day Koscielny departs will be a sad one for the Gunners faithful - although Fery does not think it will happen any time soon.
He added: "I hope he has a few more years playing at Arsenal." Koscielny spent just one season at Lorient before he was snapped up by Wenger.
He joined them back in 2009 but made only 40 appearances before he moved to England.
Since then he has appeared over 300 times for Arsenal, marking his landmark treble century in the recent victory over Tottenham in the North London derby.

Sports / Manchester City Will Be Difficult To Catch - Jurgen Klopp by Sport4all(m): 5:09pm On Nov 28, 2017
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has refused to concede the Premier League title to Manchester City but admits it will be hard for the chasing pack to catch Pep Guardiola's side in their current form.
City extended their lead at the top of the table to eight points on Sunday after coming from behind to defeat Huddersfield away from home, while Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by defending champions Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday.
The Reds are already 14 points behind City just 13 games into the campaign but Klopp insists the title race is not a foregone conclusion and has urged his players to be ready if Guardiola's side suffer a dip in form. "I saw the game against Huddersfield, yes Manchester City deserved to win but it was not like Huddersfield could not have won," said Klopp.
"As long as they keep winning, nobody else has a chance. If they stop winning and other teams have their good moments, then they are pretty much each the same distance away from City, points wise.
"It is possible that you can get them still but I don't care about that for the moment because we want to have the next three [points], and the next three and the next three. "If anybody struggles then you need to be there but not for us at the moment, we are too far away. If they keep on going like this then nobody has a chance, then it is already decided."
Liverpool travel to face Stoke on Wednesday night and Klopp is expecting a typically boisterous reception from the home support under the floodlights at the bet365 Stadium.
"The last time we were there the weather was good," the German joked when asked if he was expecting the cold, windy cliché associated with the Potteries. "This time it will be dark and probably windy. Stoke for sure is a difficult place to go. They are a good side with a fantastic manager, who is very experienced. The team is experienced as well.
"They live for moments like this in these home games, with the floodlight atmosphere. It is nice but we are not there to enjoy or suffer under any atmosphere, we go there to get the points."
Klopp opted to rotate his squad for the draw with Chelsea, with the likes of Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane dropped to the bench at Anfield. However, the former Borussia Dortmund boss has hinted that the trio could return to the starting line-up against the Potters.
"We had to make a few changes, it makes absolute sense at this part of the season to use the strength of the squad," said Klopp.
"We had to leave a few out and that is what we did. It is not completely unlikely that they will start."

Sports / Chelsea Offered Borussia Dortmund Striker Pierre-emerick Aubameyang by Sport4all(m): 8:01am On Nov 28, 2017
CHELSEA have reportedly been told they can sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January.
The Gabon international has had a season shrouded in controversy and was most recently sent off as the German giants let a 4-0 lead slip against Schalke.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been offered to Chelsea by Borussia Dortmund
And the Mirror are reporting that that has led to a breakdown in the relationship with the club running out of patience with the player.
Chelsea are said to be among a number of clubs who have been informed that he will be on the market in the winter window.
And despite his problems with Dortmund, the Blues could be tempted with a bid if Dortmund are willing to negotiate.
Aubameyang has netted 17 goals in 19 games this season and Antonio Conte knows he needs to add some firepower to his squad. Alvaro Morata has netted nine times for the Blues since joining in the summer but the rest of the squad are failing to help out in front of goal.
Aubameyang's problems at the Bundesliga club started earlier this season when he was suspended for disciplinary reasons. His team-mates are reportedly angry with his time-keeping and taking part in an unauthorised video shoot.
And Dortmund now look like they may cash in on him after he was dismissed against Schalke, who then went on to score four times to steal a point.

Sports / Lionel Messi Currently Enduring His Worst Run In Front Of Goal For Seven Years by Sport4all(m): 4:38pm On Nov 27, 2017
LIONEL MESSI has every right to feel frustrated as he tucked himself into bed on Sunday night.
As Barcelona travelled to Valencia for Sunday's massive, top of the table showdown with Valencia, they knew a win would be huge for their La Liga title hopes.
Lionel Messi was left furious after having a perfectly-good goal ruled out
However, they stumbled to a 1-1 draw as Jordi Alba left it late to cancel out Rodrigo's opener for the hosts.
But before any of that came the game's most controversial moment, as Messi saw his goal chalked-off.
A shot from the Argentine star somehow managed to squirm beyond the grasp of Valencia stopper Neto before creeping well over the line.
Incredibly though, the officials waved it off, much to the fury of Messi... and Barcelona. It was a double-blow for Messi, though - who is now in the midst of his worst scoring run in seven years.
The Argentine ace is now without a goal in six games in all competitions, spanning 538 minutes, following his blistering start to the 2017-18 campaign. In fact, Messi's last goal came on October 28, nearly a month ago to the day, when Barcelona beat Athletic Bilbao 2-0.
Since then, the superstar forward has drawn a blank in games against Olympiakos, Sevilla, Leganes, Juventus and Valencia - as well as against Russia while away on international duty. Despite his lean November, Messi has still enjoyed a phenomenal 2017-18 season thus far.
He sits atop the La Liga scoring charts, with 12 goals in 13 games - three strikes of second-placed Simone Zaza.
Villarreal's Cedric Bakambu has also scored nine times, while Zaza's Valencia team-mate Rodrigo has found the net eight times this term.

Sports / Romelu Lukaku To Escape FA Punishment After Appearing To Kick Brighton’s Gaetan by Sport4all(m): 4:30pm On Nov 27, 2017
MANCHESTER UNITED star Romelu Lukaku will face no FA punishment after appearing to kick Brighton's Gaetan Bong on Saturday.
The Belgian forward, 24, seemed to lash out twice at the Seagulls defender during the 1-0 win at Old Trafford.
Romelu Lukaku appears to swing a boot between the legs of Gaetan Bong

Lukaku had appeared set to be slapped with a three-game ban - the typical punishment for violent conduct.
The £75million summer signing from Everton would have been ruled out of the game against Watford and the massive showdowns with Arsenal and Manchester City.
But Lukaku was let off the hook on Monday, meaning he will be free to play in United's next game against the Hornets.
After a red-hot start to the season, scoring nine times in his first ten games, Lukaku has gone off the boil lately. The former Chelsea forward has scored just once in his last ten appearances in all competitions.
His frustrations have been starting to show lately too, with the outburst on Saturday the culmination of weeks of hard work gone unrewarded. Despite his lack of goals, United chief Jose Mourinho has refused to place any of the blame on Lukaku.
Mourinho said: "In the last minute he was fighting and running back like he was in the first minute, so I think it is also a mentality question. "The way Romelu wins the corner for the goal, the way Romelu ends the game making tackles in the left-back position, that is the mentality I want.
"And, unfortunately, not every player is the same. Players are men, men are different. Men are unique cases.
"Some guys are capable to go into the limits of their efforts and some other guys even with a lot of talent, they don't manage to do that.
"So Romelu, for me, fantastic. Didn't score, I don't care."

Sports / Romelu Lukaku Could Face Ban And Miss Clash With Rivals Manchester City by Sport4all(m): 8:54am On Nov 27, 2017
ROMELU LUKAKU faces being suspended for the Manchester derby after appearing to intentionally kick Brighton's Gaetan Bong in the nuts.
The Belgian striker was involved in 'clash' with the defender during Manchester United's 1-0 victory over Brighton on Saturday.
Romelu Lukaku clearly swings a boot between the legs of Gaetan Bong
5
A clip doing the rounds online shows Lukaku lash out with his right foot with the ball nowhere in sight.
The 24-year-old then wildly swings his left boot right between the legs of the Seagulls defender.
A video of the incident was not shown on Match of the Day during the highlights.
But the officials missing the incident at the time, Lukaku could still face a ban. If referee Neil Swarbrick claims he didn't see the striker lashing out in his post-match report, the FA will be allowed to review the footage and make up their own minds.
The typical length of ban for an act of violent conduct is usually three matches. That means Lukaku could potentially be sidelined for United's trip to Watford, a clash at rivals Arsenal and a home match against noisy neighbours Man City.
Lukaku, a £75million summer signing from Everton, started his United career in red hot form with 10 goals in his first nine appearances. But he has been well off the boil in recent weeks with just one goal in his last 10 appearances in all competitions.
If he does receive a ban, boss Jose Mourinho could be tempted to throw Zlatan Ibrahimovic in from the start.
The Swede has just returned to first team action following his cruciate knee ligament injury he picked up last April.

Sports / Mesut Ozil Set To Miss Arsenal Clash With Huddersfield With Illness by Sport4all(m): 8:27am On Nov 27, 2017
MESUT OZIL is set to miss Arsenal’s must-win clash with Huddersfield on Wednesday night with illness.
The German midfielder was missing for Saturday’s last-gasp win over Burnley when Alexis Sanchez fired home an injury-time penalty to keep Arsene Wenger’s men in the title race.
Mesut Ozil missed the narrow win over Burnley due to illnesses
And the former Real Madrid man – who is out of contract in the summer and looks set to leave the Emirates – does not look like making a quick enough recovery.
When asked about his mercurial playmaker, Wenger said: “I haven’t even seen him.
“The doctor came to see me and said he had to travel back home, he was in the hotel with us.
“He travelled up with us, then travelled back. “We brought Maitland-Niles up who arrived at 1pm because we had only 17 players.
“Will he be available for Wednesday? Certainly he will be short. We will see what it is exactly.” Huddersfield proved they are no push-overs on Saturday evening against Premier League pace setters Manchester City.
David Wagner’s dogged side took Pep Guardiola’s men to the wire and were only undone in the final 10 minutes.
Arsenal will have to be at their best to tame the Terriers and Ozil’s guile will be missed if he fails to recover in time.

Sports / 'incredible' Manchester City May Become Uncatchable For Chelsea - Conte by Sport4all(m): 7:40am On Nov 27, 2017
Manchester City's "incredible" improvement this season could leave the rest of the Premier League title hopefuls having to spend big in January just to catch up, says Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
Conte's defending champions rescued a late point at Liverpool on Saturday, with Willian's unexpected cross-shot finding the top corner to cancel out Mohamed Salah's opener.
In terms of the title battle that still represented two points dropped for the Blues, who sit 11 points behind leaders City following their 2-1 win over Huddersfield.
"Manchester City's path is incredible, no?" said the Italian.
"I think Manchester City in this season is a strong team. Also last season, Manchester City was a fantastic team. Then, after the transfer market, they bought their first targets and then they have improved a lot.
"They can do this also in January maybe, in the future. For this reason we must be worried because if we want to compete with Manchester City we have to work and then make the best decisions in the transfer market." Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was hoping a hectic winter fixture list could derail Guardiola's top-flight hopes.
"December is a very tough month. Maybe they drop some points," he said.
"We have to be there to keep on winning and hopefully close down on them, then towards the end of the season maybe overtake them. But at the moment they are the best team in the league and it's hard for them to drop points." If Chelsea are to mount a credible defence of their trophy it seems increasingly likely to built on the shoulders of Eden Hazard.
The Belgian playmaker had a slow start to the season but is finally close to top form.
"I think he was brilliant, I think Eden is a wonderful player and maybe the best in the league," Courtois said on his Belgian compatriot's performance at Anfield.
"If you saw, in the first half especially, how easy he gets past three or four people like they are cones it is amazing.
"We are not speaking about players who play on a lower level, like if you play in the FA Cup or League Cup, we play against Liverpool with top players and he passed them like it was nothing."

Sports / Zlatan Ibrahimovic Has No Champions League Trophy by Sport4all(m): 7:07am On Nov 24, 2017
FOR The Lion, there is one meaty treat remaining — the Champions League.
For all the achievements of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, that is the one missing from the Swede’s collection of silverware.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has won a staggering 33 major honours throughout career
Thirty-three trophies in all but, during spells at Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, AC Milanand Paris Saint-Germain, he missed the cup with the big ears. Now with Manchester United, Ibra, 36, believes he has the chance to put that right.
Despite defeat in Basel on Wednesday, United are virtually assured of qualifying from Group A for the last 16. CSKA Moscow would have to win by six clear goals at Old Trafford in the final group game on December 5 to KO Jose Mourinho’s men. And Ibra, who has taken to calling himself more lion than human, could be roaring at the final in Kiev next May. He said: “Of course, winning the Champions League would be massive, huge. That is one of the targets, every season. Wherever I have gone, I have won. “I didn’t win the Champions League, which everybody knows but I’m doing everything to win it.
“And, if I could, I would be on top of the world. “But in my career, I won everything. I see many players, they won the World Cup and they didn’t even put their foot on the field, yet they still say they have won the World Cup!
“I won 33 trophies. I won in Holland. I won in Italy. I won in France. I won in Spain. I won in England. I won in five different countries, so my career is full of achievements.
“I don’t know who to compare it to. Say players in a club like, Steven Gerrard, with all the respect. He won the Champions League but never the Premier League. “If you ask him what he would rather win, I think he would say the Premier League. So in the long term, it’s about what you achieved.
“For me the aim is to win every year. It’s not an excuse that I don’t want to win the Champions League.” Ibra, who hit 28 goals last term, has just returned to the United side after seven months out with a knee injury. But Romelu Lukaku’s dozen strikes since his summer arrival has certainly taken away the goalscoring strain. Ibra added: “The team is stronger this season.
“Lukaku is in the team scoring a lot of goals, and he is making the job easier for me, because last year when we were playing we could not change that role.
“We had one scoring the goals and doing that job, and there were no variations for the coach. This season it is easier.
“Lukaku is only positive, because he makes my ‘comeback’ less pressured, it gives me a lot of time, and I’m happy for that.”

Sports / Chelsea Need To Adapt Quick If They Want To Beat Liverpool - Eden Hazard by Sport4all(m): 6:13am On Nov 24, 2017
Chelsea's Eden Hazard says they need to adapt quick after their Champions League trip to make sure they put in a good performance against Liverpool on Saturday.
The Blues beat Qarabag 4-0 in Baku on Wednesday night to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League, but landed at Gatwick at 3am on Thursday following a near 2,500-mile flight.
Head coach Antonio Conte has complained that this is the second time this season his side have had to play on a Saturday following a Wednesday night game away in the Champions League. Chelsea won at Atletico Madrid in September, but then lost 1-0 to Manchester City, who lead the Blues by nine points ahead of Saturday's trip to Anfield.
"The time between the two games is very short," Hazard said. "We need to adapt and we didn't adapt well against Manchester City, so we need to do better on Saturday.
"I want to be feeling good. A lot of players didn't play, I played only 60 minutes and N'Golo (Kante) also came off so we can be fresh on Saturday, even if the game is close. "We are professional, we can deal with this. We will do everything, we will do recovery and we will see on Saturday."
Hazard suffered a broken ankle in June and was unavailable for Chelsea until September.
The Belgium playmaker has six goals in seven games, including two at West Brom last Saturday and a penalty in the win in Azerbaijan.
"I am feeling good, 100 per cent," Hazard added. "After an injury sometimes you are feeling not 100 per cent, but I am ready to play every game and of course when you are winning games it helps.
"Confidence is high, everything is in our hands to win games. We just want to keep playing like this and win games."

Sports / United Loss In Basel Is My Fault - Daley Blind by Sport4all(m): 7:18am On Nov 23, 2017
DALEY BLIND admitted it was his fault that Manchester United lost in Basel.
But the Dutchman insists the defeat is not a "reality check" for Jose Mourinho's side.

Daley Blind admits he was at fault for Basel's goal
Blind switched off and lost his man as Michael Lang scored a tap-in in the 89th minute.
It leaves United in danger of finishing second in Group A and landing one of the big boys in the knockout stages.
Blind said: "The second half went up and down, they created the possibility, gave a good cross, he came round the back and I was a bit late.
"We have enough confidence in the group going forward. It’s not a reality check. "In the first half we played good, not so good in the second. We have to accept that and keep on working on that, train hard and prepare ourselves to our best."
Matteo Darmian was left to rue missed chances in Switzerland. He added: In the first half we played very well but didn’t score. At the end we concede and that’s it.
"We go back to Manchester with a defeat and we need to recover well and think forward to the next game."

Sports / I Miss Paul Pogba - Paulo Dybala by Sport4all(m): 6:34am On Nov 22, 2017
Paulo Dybala says he cannot "promise" that he will stay at Juventus for the rest of his career and admits he misses former team-mate Paul Pogba.
The Argentine joined Juventus in 2015 from Palermo and has scored 42 Serie A goals for the Turin club.
Pogba played alongside Dybala in his final season at Juventus before the Frenchman made his then-world record transfer to Manchester United in August 2016. Mino Raiola, agent of Pogba, said in September that he could see Dybala making the move to either Manchester club or to Premier League champions Chelsea.
Amid speculation surrounding his future, Dybala has refused to rule out a move away from Juventus.
"I must admit I miss Dani Alves and Pogba. Alves has an amazing vision and is really self-confident, he is one of the best players I've ever seen. Pogba is a friend of mine, we were on very good terms on and off the pitch," Dybala told France Football.
"I can't promise I will stay at Juventus forever. It does not depend on me but I don't even want to say that this will be my last season here. I want to win everything now, football is strange you never really know what will happen in the future." Dybala has made a strong start to the new season, scoring 14 goals in 18 games in all competitions, but the forward is not fazed by comparisons to compatriot Lionel Messi.
"I'd like to battle it out with Neymar for the Ballon d'Or but he is closer to that achievement than I am," Dybala added. "I need to work to improve and win trophies.
"I've always admired Ronaldinho but Messi is like Maradona for me. It's a honour to play alongside him in the national team. I don't feel the pressure of being the new Messi, it's not a bad thing for a footballer, it only depends on how you take it."

Sports / Cristiano Ronaldo And Sergio Ramos Did Have A Row But They Have Already Made Up by Sport4all(m): 7:44am On Nov 18, 2017
CRISTIANO RONALDO and Real Madrid team-mate Sergio Ramos have already buried the hatched after boss Zinedine Zidane admitted they had rowed.
The Portugal hero annoyed the Spain star by complaining about the club letting too many old heads leave and playing too many youngsters.
Zinedine Zidane has admitted there has been a row between Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo
And the centre-back hit back by dismissing talk about Ron’s future at the Bernabeu and opening the door for a shock move for Neymar.
The La Liga tittle-tattle has not affected the champions – according to their French boss – with the two senior stars already best buddies again.
ZiZou said: “All this does not affect at all. Around Real Madrid there is always a lot of noise but we are on the sidelines of everything like this.
“We're not going to stop people from talking, but we're focused on the game. Sergio says one thing to Cristiano and another thing to you, the media. “We are talking about two players who are the history of this club. Both one and the other can say what they want, they are two very intelligent people.
"They have been together for a long time and nothing happens if one thinks one thing and the other thinks another. Each one can say what they want, inside things are fixed and they are already fixed". The row was sparked after brilliant Tottenham scorched Madrid at Wembley.
Ron – who rarely stops for free media interviews – had a dig at the current squad for getting hammered by Spurs.
When asked to compare the current squad with last season’s, he said: “You cannot say that this one is worse but perhaps it has less experience, and we all know how important experience is in football.
“It’s not an excuse but obviously Pepe was a great player, and Morata and James too, all those players that have gone made us stronger.” The mention of Ramos’ old defensive partner Pepe might have irked Ramos particularly – hinting that the backline is crumbling without the combative Portuguese.
And Ramos hit back by calling Ronaldo an opportunist by using the defeat to air his personal problems.
He said: “Everyone has their opinion but the comments appear to me to be a bit opportunist, because when we won the Super Cup earlier in the season we had the same players as now. I don’t miss anybody.”

Sports / Don't Be Surprised To See A Lesser Team End Man City Run by Sport4all(m): 7:31am On Nov 18, 2017
IF any team is going to beat Manchester City this season — and that is a big ‘if’ — I fancy it to be one from outside the top six.
You might think ‘well, what about United or Spurs?’ But for the ‘lesser’ teams it is a free hit — especially as City will have more possession. City go to Leicester today whose average possession this season is 44 per cent.
Arsenal’s stat against City this season, when they lost 3-1, was 42 per cent. Compare that to their season-average which is 63 per cent (without that Etihad game).
For Liverpool (who lost 5-0), it was 34 per cent. Their average is 62. Chelsea lost 1-0 with 38 per cent. Their average is 52.
The big teams are suddenly playing a whole new ball game. Arsenal and Chelsea will work all week on possession and breaking down defences — but all that goes out of the window when they face City.
Chelsea have stuck to 3-4-3 but when they played City changed to 3-5-1-1.
Much of training is repetition and Conte has been drilling his players where to be over and over again. Then, for one week only, it’s all change.
Against City, Arsenal played midfielder Francis Coquelin at centre-half for the first time this season. A sudden change! When I was at Stoke, we were unlikely to dominate the ball. So our boss, Tony Pulis, would work on our defensive shape in training. Come match day, that repetition was put into practice.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s United came to play us in 2008-09 when they won the league.
Carlos Tevez scored a late winner and Sir Alex said it was the biggest win of their season. He knew how hard it was to beat a side who are well-drilled without the ball. Average player position maps support my point.
Look at Chelsea when they beat Stoke 4-0. Then look at the match against City and how isolated Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata became. The Blues had eight players behind the halfway line. Six of the seven goals City have let in this season have been against bottom-half teams. The only one scored by a top- half side was Arsenal.
So look out City! Today could be the day your invincible hopes go up in smoke. But I’m not sure I’d bet on it!

Sports / Pierre-emerick Aubameyang Left Out Of Borussia Dortmund Squad by Sport4all(m): 7:10am On Nov 17, 2017
BORUSSIA DORTMUND has suspended its top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for what the club says are "disciplinary reasons."
Dortmund says on Twitter that Aubameyang, who has 10 goals in 11 Bundesliga games this season, has been left out of the side to face Stuttgart away on Friday.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been dropped from the Borussia Dortmund squad for 'disciplinary reasons'
The club does not give an indication of what led to the sanction for the Gabon forward.
Aubameyang was suspended by the club before, last November, when he missed the 1-0 win over Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League for a trip to Milan against then-coach Thomas Tuchel's wishes. Aubameyang is going through a bad patch at Dortmund, having failed to score in any of his last five games. Meanwhile, the club has slumped to three defeats in four league games without a win. German newspaper Bild reported how Aubameyang used two days off granted by the club during the international break to visit former Dortmund team-mate Ousmane Dembele.
In the summer, Dembele made a £109m move from the German giants to Barcelona. The two footballers visited Barcelona nightclub Shoko during their meet-up, and shared a photo on Instagram. Earlier this week SunSport reported how the striker revealed his club were "willing to sell him" in the summer. The Gabon striker has been linked with moves away from the Bundesliga over the last two years.
The striker told Sport Bild:"There was a time in the window when I could have changed.
“We (Aubameyang and the Dortmund board) agreed on this together in all openness but nothing happened.
"I have always felt very comfortable in Dortmund, in the team and at BVB, and that is true today, too. BVB is my family!"

Sports / Arsenal Have The Quality To Beat Tottenham In North London Derby - Arsene Wenger by Sport4all(m): 4:21pm On Nov 16, 2017
Arsene Wenger has dismissed the idea that Arsenal are underdogs for Saturday's north London derby against Tottenham.
The Gunners finished behind their huge rivals last season for the first time since Wenger took charge in 1996 and are four points adrift of third-placed Spurs already this term. But Wenger denied the tide had turned to the extent that he considered his side the underdogs for the eagerly-awaited derby at the Emirates. "Not at all," said the Arsenal manager.
"I think Tottenham is a good side but we have the quality to win this game and that is what we want to show."
Wenger has a superb record in the north London derby and agreed that it is a fixture he always looks forward to.
"There is always pride involved, a desire to beat your opponent," he said.
"You need to have full commitment, but as well be lucid enough and calm enough to focus on the game.
"It is one of the fixtures of course that is very important for us and that you want to win.
"Basically as well, in the table, we have to make some ground up with the top teams. "At home we have been very strong and our home strength will certainly be vital to decide where we finish at the end of the season."
Wenger said defender Shkodran Mustafi and forward Danny Welbeck will have fitness tests ahead of Saturday's game.
But French striker Olivier Giroud is unlikely to be available after picking up a thigh strain while on international duty.

Sports / Pogba And Zlatan Return To Full Training by Sport4all(m): 6:48am On Nov 16, 2017
PAUL POGBA and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are back in full training with the Manchester United first team.
Now both players are pushing for a place on the bench against Newcastle on Saturday. Their return would be a big boost as Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho aims to close an eight-point gap on Manchester City — and prepare for next week’s Champions Leaguetrip to Basel.
Pogba has missed 12 games since limping out of United’s 3-0 home win over Basel back in September. The £89million club-record signing had struck up a good understanding with Nemanja Matic in midfield. And Romelu Lukaku is clearly missing his presence — the Belgian is now without a goal in SEVEN games.
Pogba has worked on his rehabilitation in Miami and at the club’s the Carrington HQ.
Ibra, 36, injured a cruciate knee ligament in April and was initially released but Mourinho convinced him to return and his recovery has deifed the odds. Fellow striker Lukaku, who arrived in July, said: “Ibrahimovic coming back will help us chase Manchester City.”
The two clubs meet at Old Trafford on December 10. Argie Marcus Rojo is also close to a return after seven-month knee-ligament lay off. The defender played 45 minutes for the Under-21s centre half for the under 21 side against Athletic Bilbao in his return to action.
Rojo has been sidelined since April with knee ligament trouble but looked fit in his 45-minute run out. The South American is hoping for a game in Jose Mourinho’s first team shortly but may cram in a couple more second string appearances first.

Sports / Arsenal Set To Lose Jack Wilshere by Sport4all(m): 2:50pm On Nov 15, 2017
REAL BETIS believe they are close to pulling off a massive coup by convincing Arsenal star Jack Wilshere to move to Spain.
Wilshere is in the final year of his £90,000-a-week contract at the Emirates and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen for the midfielder to extend his stay in North London.
Real Betis beieve they are close to persuading Jack Wilshere to move to Spain
Wenger is hoping to convince the midfielder his future is at Arsenal, and wants a deal agreed before the January windows opens. SunSport understands the Spaniards have made contact with Wilshere and his representatives, with the player open to moving to La Liga on a free transfer next summer. Betis managed by Quique Setien are keen to add Wilshere to their ranks and will hope the offer of a fresh start in a new country will appeal to the England international.
Beticos have enjoyed a good start to the campaign and are eighth in La Liga, with Wilshere’s team-mate Joel Campbell currently on loan at the Benito Villamarin stadium. Betis could push for a cut-price deal in January if talks between Wilshere and Arsenal don’t happen or reach a stalemate.
Another option would be to convince him to sign a pre-contract in January when players are a free to talk to overseas clubs in the final six months of their deal. The Gunners academy product has struggled to force his way back into Wenger’s plans after returning from his injury suffered while on loan at Bournemouth last season.
Wilshere, who was left out of England’s 25-man squad for the glamour friendlies against Germany and Brazil, has only seen 25 minutes of Premier League action this term. The midfielder’s game time has been restricted mainly to the Europa League and Carabao Cup. Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate insisted Wilshere cannot be picked if he can’t get a game for his club side.
Southgate said: “I don't know how you get in an England squad without getting in the Arsenal team.
"We just need to see him playing before he comes back in because unfortunately there has been a history of injuries.
"We think he is a top player so for me it's about game time."
"There is no question about his ability, his football brain or personality.”

Sports / Marouane Fellaini Rejects Manchester United Contract To Stun Jose Mourinho by Sport4all(m): 2:43pm On Nov 15, 2017
MAROUANE FELLAINI has stunned Jose Mourinho by turning down a new contract.
The big Belgian midfielder will now be able to arrange a pre-contract with a foreign club in the New Year and leave Old Trafford in the summer on a free.
Marouane Fellaini has rejected a new Manchester United contract
There is already big interest in him from Besiktas in Turkey. Fellaini was offered a new United deal in September and so far the club have been unable to pin him down but they will not sell him in January.
Fellaini’s decision has shocked the club at a time when the player has never been as highly thought of by the fans or Jose Mourinho. Fellaini is on £120,000 a week and clearly the new terms in a two-year deal are not to his liking. There will not have been a huge increase in his wages given that the player turns 30 next week.
As a free agent he will undoubtedly be able to demand a big increase on his current salary with another club given there will be no transfer fee involved. Fellaini may also be looking for more game time because while he is a valuable squad member he is still not first choice when everyone is fit. Of his nine appearances this season six of them have been from the bench. Fellaini signed in 2013 on a four-year contract with the option on the club’s side to trigger a further year which they did for this season.
He was unpopular with the fans when he first arrived at Old Trafford in a £27.5million move from Everton. He was seen as the on-pitch symbol of David Moyes' doomed ten months in charge. Things did not improve under Louis van Gaal when he was used as a target man late in games just to fire long balls to.
He has still gone on to make 142 appearances for the club, 49 of them as a substitute, and was a key figure in the Europa League final win over Ajax, which he started. Fellaini missed six games through injury until he returned to the squad for the trip to Chelsea before the international break, when he came on as a sub and nearly clinched a late equaliser.

Sports / Nigeria Avert World Cup Bonus Strike by Sport4all(m): 7:51am On Nov 15, 2017
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) reached an agreement with the national team over earnings for the World Cup in Russia on Tuesday, hoping to avoid a pay strike similar to the one in Brazil in 2014. It did not disclose the various fees agreed with the players. "We have done it; we have concluded negotiations and come to agreement with the team as regards (to) bonuses, allowances and share of income from Fifa for the 2018 World Cup," said NFF vice-president Shehu Dikko. "We also agreed on preparation, such as how much players will be paid for the friendly matches, including how and when the monies would be paid." "We are very happy and excited with this development," said Nigeria captain John Obi Mikel.
"This is the first time since I started playing for the senior team that I would see everything regarding preparation and bonuses and allowances put down in black and white and a binding agreement executed."
At the last World Cup in Brazil, the Super Eagles missed a training session in protest over pay, forcing the Nigerian government to send then-sports minister Tammy Danagogo to Brazil with millions of dollars in cash.

Sports / Lionel Messi Has Signed New Barcelona Contract by Sport4all(m): 7:14am On Nov 15, 2017
Lionel Messi has signed a new contract at Barcelona, according to La Liga's president Javier Tebas.
Barcelona CEO Oscar Grau said the La Liga club would offer him a new lifetime deal but questions still linger over whether Messi has signed any necessary paperwork.
Tebas says Barcelona have informed him a contract has been signed unless he has been "lied to". "Messi has a contract which has been renewed," Tebas told reporters at a Europa Press media event.
"Contracts are official when they are signed and not when it is announced that they have been signed."Messi has signed with Barcelona, if I have not been lied to, he has signed."
Back in September, Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu said Messi is already playing under a five-year contract signed on behalf of the player by his dad. However, the lack of official confirmation from the La Liga club has caused concern among fans.
In Guillem Balague's Q&A with Sky Sports on October 20, he said: "Messi is getting paid according to the new contract. All that is missing is the picture with the president."
The 30-year-old spoke last week of his desire to return to his boyhood club Newell's Old Boys at some point in his career.
"The desire is always playing for Newell's, it is what I dreamed as a kid," Messi told Argentine channel TyC Sports.
"When I went to the club I imagined playing in the Primera Division, but I do not know what's going to happen in a few years.
"I cannot say I'm going back because I do not know where I'm going to be."
