@ otokx,

Revolution! You must be dreaming! like Nanidee stated, we are too comfortable. Look at what is about to happen along lekki-epe road(Toll Gate). Some group of people have decided to hand twist the residents and tax payers to satisfy their personal greed. They will sit and be moping. suffering and smiling(Fela)

We are in a sad state in this country.

Politics / Re: Lagos State Governorship Debate On Stv by steeviee(m): 9:57am On Mar 29, 2011
It is really sad that there hasn't been any clear and formidable opposition in the race which is not healthy for the populace. Fashola has become arrogant and often times permeate ignorance. He told someone yesterday that he will never become a governor. That is pride, pride comes before a fall. I have refused to glorify his decadence with my sacred excercise called vote.

Looks like it's confirmed. DStv has won the right to show Champions league from next year.

Nairaland / General / Globacom Forced Staff To Work Under Hash Conditions by steeviee(m): 10:40am On Nov 23, 2010
I'm saddened by Glo's insensitivity to the working conditions of her staff. Recently glo insisted that some of her staff must work even after complaints that the hazardous smell from the recently painted walls in their was too uncomfortable for them to work in. The management insisted they work or else they should resign.
Properties / Re: Can Your Landlord Eject You Without A Written Notice? by steeviee(m): 12:59pm On Nov 05, 2010
pewekac:

people running their mouth about landlords being wicked what about tenants? my dad is a retiree and his plot of land with 10 flats is all he really has now as his source of livelihood. yet tenants owing for months after 6 months advance notice to quit if no intention of paying new rate.

it's dishonesty, selfish and wickedness. people should honour their contracts. The old man has to eat too and has commitments just like you. if you can't pay why not leave in peace and let him get a new tenant. The wickedness of tenants and the difficulties of court cases is why landlords insist on 2 year rents.

not paying your rent should be equated to your company not paying you your salary, how then would you feel?

^^ because u r fortunate to have a father that has his own place that doesn't give you the privilege to run your mouth profusely on this issue. I'm very sure you don't have a place of your own or probably you r not old enough (Immature fool).

Moving on, this poster clearly talked about a selfish and inhumane landlord not the modest and unassuming ones. so please let's stick to point and issue here.

As a land lord and also a tenant i have learnt alot from this thread and i'm going to make amends in the near future.
Autos / Re: Which Of These Vehicles Is More Economically Friendly by steeviee(m): 12:04pm On Nov 03, 2010
knotty:

Did you mean insulting?
In whatever you do, DGOV, please, don't touch that Armada. It is a big for nothing `room and pallor` SUV. Stay with the Range, if you can afford it now. The reason is, if you settle for less now and end up buying the FX, down the line, you will be tempted to scale up. Then, the Range will start to haunt you, just as it is haunting some of my pals.

Also, consider Audi Q7 as you go. It is a vehicle that says so much in very scanty words!
All the best, man.

@Knotty

insultive is the correct word wink

@ all

as far as  i'm concerned people seldom make a good margin just on fundamentals. it is a combination of a lot extra.

that i have learnt and come to understand.

it is a personal thing as well as risk appetite. though it is proven that stock tend to move northwards @ long run but in our market there are some exceptions.

as long as the information is available the smart ones will continue to make money here. We all take advantage of this just that some people pretend as well as others over speculate.

thanks barge

barge:

don't have much info except this below which i got from Bizday :

The firm is the leading producer of livestock feeds in Nigeria.

Plans to reopen Kaduna mill to boost production capacity and improve market share and accesssibility.

Plans to icrease production from the present average of 4.5 metric tonnes per hour@ three key operating mills.

Apparently the firm is expanding but i don't have projections as to when the expansion will impact the Topline and bottom line.

@moneypalav
i did not want to mention the name of my current stockbroker (Amyn investments) but i have to because i am totally disappointed in them. if i want any thing done i have to go there personally and that is not a confirmation that it will be done promptly. i am not even intending to transfer my current stocks with them cause i know they will give me enough hassles so i will just sell them gradually.
but let me not fail to mention that i have great respect for the MD (Hawa Audu). but i have to leave them. angry
[/quo

i think Amyn Investment is one of the worst stock broking firm have ever come across. Their are so rude and arrogant. you can hardly get anybody on phone to make a request. I have stopped using them since last year. The socks i have we with them we are still struggling to sell them. I place the sell ordercouple of months back they are still yet to get back to me. i mean it is that bad.

Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by steeviee(m): 11:03am On Dec 04, 2007
@ wanajo

good one. it makes me fill i'm not the only one in this. since u've gotten the Annual report does that mean u are a shareholder also undecided?

anyway pls more info about this. many thanks

@barge

i'll critically look at your suggestion. Is just that i'm kind of fed-up with the broker thing. they often give u a reason to change them.

Heard of PHB Asset mgt. what is ur take on that?

i'm extremely dissappointed with NASCON stock. i think it's really unprecedented for a stock of that calibre to continue hovering b/w its current prices without any major cojent reasons.

pumping, wanajo, Roughcut etc what can you say about this development?
