Bussy1234: Truth be told are you are openly presenting yourself as someone positioned for illegal migration. It will be miles better if your sponsor puts together some form of employment and show some track record of you contribution to the company over the years as well as need for you to return to continue to improve said company. But going by what you described above, bro them go bounce you like basketball... Just saying the hard truth. Cheers |
Travel / US Visa Application - Critical DS-160 Step That Weighs A Lot On The Interview by tablesturn: 10:36pm On Jul 07, 2023 |
Hello Nairalanders, I am writing this as one who once obtained my 1st US visa in 2015, then comes Trump in 2017 and I got denied twice after. I was then schooled on a critical mistake I was making while completing my DS-160 form and I realized that a lot of us make same mistake. I recently corrected my mistake and to God be the glory, I have just gotten my 5-year visa to the US, valid till 2028. Now you must be asking what is this critical step in the DS-160 form? After completing all the necessary details in the DS-160 form, just before the end of the application, there is provision to write any additional information in the DS-160 form about yourself and your reason to travel. The best thing to detail here is to provide concrete and multiple reasons showing your ties to your home country and reason to return. So what are valid reasons you can include here? The following are possible suggestions I was given: 1. Ties to real estate property and show management of same in country (rental collection, on-going rent, mortgage payments, property in development etc.) - show photos, receipts, titles, statements etc as evidence. 2. Business ownership and current running of the business. Show how US trip can influence the local business. If you are meeting with partners in the US to improve US trade, also highlight that here. Show engagements with US business (emails, call logs). Show evidence of day-to-day operation of your local business, incorporation documents with your name, photos of you working in the business and improtance of the trip to your business. 3. Are you in the civil service? do you have an upcoming promotion exam? have you enrolled for a professional exam? (not IELTS, TOEFL as these show japa tendencies). Exams that will promote working locally. Show evidence of enrollment, previous certifications obtained, CV etc. 4. Support to a relative needing continuous medical care. Though sad but this is an option to include to show ties. 5. Married with kids, show evidence of kids in school, in the middle of the term, results etc. Please all these above are just suggestive examples and be sure to provide evidence of the above. Properly filling out this section of the DS-160 form is what will ensure that the interviewer has a basis to discuss with you during the interview on your ties to the country. Also note that that if you are buoyant, you can also include a refundable airline return ticket. Remember, the goal is to ensure that you have a proper interview. The visa officers use this section to determine if it is worth speaking to you during the interview or not. If you don't fill anything in this section, on the day of the interview, expect to hear something like you have not shown enough ties to your home country and at this point they are not at liberty to issue you a visa. I am curious to read about your success once you improve your applications. Have a fulfilling weekend. Cheers everyone. 2 Likes |

Bro you are at the point where you can easily swing the power games around. Go ahead, do something extremely nice to this girl, make sure you point out what you did. When she does not appreciate it, call her out one more time, warn her and let her go. Immediately after she leaves in pretense, make sure you start hanging around other girls she knows and be extremely nice to them, and genuinely do not contact her, no matter how long it takes, ghost her. If she does not come back, allow her go, if she does, state your ground rules clearly before you let her back, if she hesitates, hang with other girls again, at not point should you miss her, call her or apologize. Politics / Boko Haram Attack Borno Governor's Convoy - Sept 5th 2019 by tablesturn: 6:57am On Sep 06, 2019 |
Boko Haram insurgents on Thursday opened fire on the convoy of the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum. The incident was said to have happened around 9 pm. According to TheCable, security sources said the insurgents attacked the convoy in Konduga while Zulum was returning from a trip to the Bama Local Government Area. Zulum had visited Bayo, Kwaya Kusar, Askira Uba and Gwoza as part of his “familiarity and need assessment tour” of the 27 LGAs in the state. The source said, “Luckily the governor, his commissioners and other vehicles in the convoy escaped unhurt but the last vehicle which is an army gun truck was pelted with bullets. “Immediately after they fired at us, our men in collaboration with the armed personnel from the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad, retaliated and thwarted the ambush.” Konduga, an area near Sambisa forest, has come under many attacks from the faction of Boko Haram under the control of Abubakar Shekau. The attack comes seven months after Kashim Shettima, Zulum’s successor was attacked by the sect on his way to Gamboru Ngala, still in Borno. Politics / Robert Mugabe Is Dead - Aged 95. by tablesturn: 6:15am On Sep 06, 2019 |
Former Zimbabwe prime minister Robert Mugabe has died aged 95, according to multiple sources in the country. ZimLive is reporting the death of the man who led the country during two spells from 1980 to 2017. This led to an outpouring of tributes to the former prime minister and president, who was said to have passed away in a Singapore hospital after battling ill health. Dewa Mavhinga, Southern Africa director for Human Rights Watch, said Mugabe's nephew told him about the former Prime Minister's death. Mr. Mavhinga added that three ex-ministers who served in Mugabe's cabinet had confirmed the news. Good day powermike. Yes you can transfer from a 3rd party account. But make sure your wife goes to the travelex office/bank 1st to notify them of the name of the 3rd party transaction expected. Better still you can transfer to her account and she can make the payment herself so all documents are synchronous powermike9999: |

Family / Re: Who Owns Me? by tablesturn: 6:43pm On Sep 12, 2016 |
My bro, the only reason your Dad's family suddenly wants you is because you are the only Grand child that will be able to sustain the family name. The question you should ask yourself is would they have wanted you if there were any 'legitimate' male grand kids. Your mum is not being selfish. Put yourself in her shoes and reason all of this. It is easy to forgive but can we ever forget. Lastly what if your step dad and mum were your only life options will you be confused - NO. Money is not everything. Sometimes you allow people go with their money. The moment you comply to money you have been bought for a price. You may just be helping your biological father's family by teaching them a generational lesson and not going back. The moment anyone in that family has a child out of wedlock, they will learn to take care of the child and accept fully. I have come to learn something in my almost 40 decades of living that family is not by blood ties, family is who was there, is still there and will continue to be there without any selfish interests. To cap this up, I was brought up in a nuclear family that my parents adopted siblings along the way. Most of my foster siblings are even doing better than some of the biological kids but you will never know the difference. Pray hard about it. You will not want to loose your mum you know. |
