It’s official, Akon has his own city in Senegal. Known as “Akon City,” the rapper and entrepreneur tweeted Monday that he had finalized the agreement for the new city.”Looking forward to hosting you there in the future,” his tweet read.

When asked technical questions about the future city, he replied: “I come with the concepts and let the geeks figure it out.”

Instead, Billboard now confirms Bieber’s song lost this week’s race to “The Box,” a viral smash from the young rapper Roddy Ricch that isn’t even an official single.

Justin Bieber has thanked his fans after his catchy single ‘Yummy’ debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Fans had expected the track to soar to #1 after the singer and his crew of creatives launched a campaign designed to dominate Pop culture within the last week.

Unfortunately, they were outperformed by a track named ‘The Box’ released by the African-American entertainer Roddy Rich. That track appears on his debut album ‘Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial.’

This is the second time in the past year that this has happened to Bieber. Last year, Bieber teamed up with Ed Sheeran on Sheeran’s song “I Don’t Care.” That song also debuted at #2 after falling victim to another viral rap smash. (In that case, it was “Old Town Road.”) Maybe “Yummy” fell short because it’s a boring and flavorless song. But maybe we’re looking at a moment of generational pop-chart change.

Rich people come into their money in a number of ways. They may inherit it. They may win the lottery. They may earn it in a few short years as a professional ball player or entertainer. Or they may invent a new mousetrap that is worth millions of dollars. Or they may simply earn it over many years as a professional or a business owner. This is quite different for the wealthy man.

The difference between rich and wealthy is very simple. It’s knowledge. Wealthy people know how to make money. Rich people only have money. Once you know how to make money, you can build sustainable wealth. The money never stops coming. If you have a reversal of fortune, it’s not a big deal. You just make it back.

The simple difference between a rich person and a wealthy person is that a wealthy person has sustainable wealth. In other words, a wealthy person will always be wealthy, whereas someone who is merely rich will only be so for a short period of time until the money is gone.

There are many different factors to take into consideration when discussing matchmaking in boxing. Some fights never happen, while others only materialize years after their “sell by date”. The aforementioned “politics” in boxing involve personal feuds and disagreements on things ranging from fight locations and TV networks to financial details and weight stipulations. In most sports, the best will eventually face the best in some sort of championship match or series. In boxing, this is certainly not always the case. Here are five significant fights (that are not officially scheduled yet) that realistically could actually happen in 2020:

Manny Pacquiao vs. Mikey Garcia
Four-division world champion Mikey Garcia was last seen in the ring against the undefeated Errol Spence Jr. in a fight that turned out to be a complete mismatch. Spence proved too big for the former lightweight champion and cruised to a shutout unanimous decision victory. Garcia has not fought since, but is scheduled to face former WBO welterweight titleholder Jessie Vargas on DAZN on February 29th. Garcia is not locked into a long-term contract with DAZN, and should he return to fighting on FOX/Showtime, he could very well end up facing Manny Pacquiao in the second half of the year. Pacquiao became the WBA “super” welterweight champion when he defeated Keith Thurman back in July.

Errol Spence Jr. vs. Danny Garcia
One of the biggest fights that can be made in boxing is Errol Spence Jr. against Terence Crawford. Both are undefeated, elite welterweight champions who have put on excellent performances against top-level opponents. The issue? Spence is managed by Al Haymon, while Crawford is signed to Bob Arum’s Top Rank. As we have seen in the past, Al Haymon is extremely hesitant to put in any of his world champions with fighters on the “other side of the street”. Could the fight happen in 2020? Possibly, but I highly doubt it. A much more realistic possibility would be to match Spence with former champion Danny Garcia, an A-level welterweight whose only defeats came in close, competitive title bouts with Shawn Porter and Keith Thurman.

Caleb Plant vs. David Benavidez
While neither of these fighters are considered ‘big names’ in the sport yet, both are extremely talented, undefeated world champions at 168 pounds. Plant, who holds the IBF title, is a technician with high-level boxing skills and fast, accurate hands. Benavidez, the WBC champ, is an unorthodox bruiser with power in both hands and good size for the division. The best part? The two have a real beef. A beef that appears to have started in 2018 when Plant got into a scuffle with Benavidez’s older brother Jose. Both are in the PBC stable and both definitely want the fight. As long as both stay healthy and keep on winning, this is a must-see matchup whether it happens in the coming year or beyond.

Daniel Dubois vs. Joe Joyce
Across the pond, two young up-and-comers at heavyweight have been making waves and reportedly have begun negotiations for a fight this year. Daniel “Dynamite” Dubois is just 22 years old, and at 14-0 with 13 KOs has been tearing through all of his opposition to date. Joyce started boxing when he was 22 and turned professional at 31 a year after winning a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Nicknamed “Juggernaut”, Joyce possesses heavy-handed power in both hands and almost always employs an aggressive, come-forward style. Joyce currently sits at 10-0 with 9 KOs. Both Dubois and Joyce are signed to Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions. The winner of this fight could very well be the next big heavyweight star.

Canelo Alvarez vs. Callum Smith
Canelo is the biggest star in boxing right now. Everyone wants to fight him, but few are worth the risk for a fighter in Alvarez’s position. Callum Smith (27-0, 19 KOs) holds the WBA “super” super middleweight title as well as The Ring title and, like Canelo, fights on DAZN. Smith is best known for winning the WBSS 168lb tournament back in 2018 when he stopped George Groves to become a world champion. Smith won a highly controversial decision over John Ryder this past November to remain undefeated, but he still represents the most-qualified name at 168 pounds. Canelo recently vacated the WBO light heavyweight title he took from Sergey Kovalev, so it is likely he will be moving back down to 160 or 168 for his next fight. A win over Smith would give Alvarez a true world title at 168 pounds (he won the WBA “regular” belt at super middleweight in 2018) and would secure his spot as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

The singer has been embroiled in a public feud with the rapper for years.

Mariah Carey woke up from a New Year’s Eve nap to find her Twitter account had been hacked and was tweeting a number of explicit posts – including jabs at Eminem.

Fans were left confused after Mariah, 49, began tweeting about her long-time rival, 4. The first tweet read “Eminem can still hold this p***y…” while a second tweet wrote, “Eminem has a little penis.”

It was clear that the singer had been hacked, as tweets before the Eminem aimed messages contained offensive racial slurs and explicit language.

“Merry Christmas You Dumb A** Nas!!” one of the since-deleted tweets read, while another said, “#na legalize the word for 2020 u fking cn f**ks”.

Mariah was asleep during the entire debacle, it appears, as the songstress later responded by tweeting, “I take a freaking nap and this happens?”

Mariah and Eminem have been embroiled in a long-running feud since 2002 when Eminem rapped about her in one if his songs. The pair traded diss tracks, including Mariah’s 2003 hit ‘Obsessed’.

Nick Cannon, Mariah’s ex-husband, and Eminem recently reignited the feud after Eminem took aim at Cannon and Mariah during his feature on ‘Lord Above’, a track from Fat Joe and Dre’s new album, ‘Family Ties’.

Zac Efron is slowly recovering after narrowly escaping death when he contracted a bacterial infection while filming his upcoming documentary series in Papua New Guinea.

He was then admitted to St Andrews War Memorial Hospital in Spring Hill “in a stable condition,” and received treatment for several days before being “given the all clear” by doctors to fly home to the U.S. on Christmas Eve, December 24.

UK-based phone case company Case24.com has conducted a research which concludes that iPhones are 167 times more prone to hacking as compared to other brands. The report analyzed the monthly search volume data from Google in the UK, which was based on the number of users searching for hacking a smartphone brand or app.
The company found that almost 10,040 users are searching for “how to hack iPhones” as compared to hacking Samsung smartphones, which stood second in the list with just 700 searches.

LG, Sony, and Nokia were the brands that were searched the least. For instance, people looking for something like “How to hack a Sony smartphone” had only 50 searches.

When it comes to apps, 12,310 Britishers searched for hacking someone’s Instagram account, whereas, Snapchat appeared second on the list.


According to the study, “Instagram account is 16 times more likely to be hacked than your Netflix account.”

The tech experts who conducted the study did not reveal the risk factors and vulnerabilities that could be used to hack an iPhone.

However, we have seen recently how iPhone became the target for hackers but Apple released iOS updates proactively to patch the bugs. Earlier this year, Google revealed how websites have been hacking iPhones for years.

Indian actor Kushal Punjabi had died aged 37, reportedly taking his own life.
The Lakshya actor was found dead at his home in Pali Hill, Mumbai on Thursday night, with reports claiming that the star hanged himself.

According to police, Punjabi left a not at the scene, telling hos family that half of his assets be divided amongst his parents and sister, and the other half left to his three-year-old son, Kian.

Less than 24 hours before his death, Kushal had posted a picture of his son on his Instagram story.

His final Instagram post came three days ago, and was a filtered picture of himself cuddling Kian, captioned with heart emojis.

Karanvir Bohra expressed his shock on social media, writing: ‘Your demise has shocked the hell out of me. I’m still in denial, Kushal Punjabi. I know you are in a happier place, but this is unfathomable. The way you lead your life really inspired me in more ways than one…. but what was I to know.

Typhoon Phanfone has left swathes of devastation in the central Philippines (Picture: EPA)
At least 16 people have died after a typhoon swept across the Philippines on Christmas Day.

Typhoon Phanfone saw winds of 120mph smash into remote villages and popular tourist areas, leaving a trail of devastation.

Tens of thousands of people have been left stranded as transport ground to a halt while they tried to make their way home for Christmas.

The storm, also known as Ursula, first made landfall on Tuesday night but continued to pass over the many islands of the central Philippines throughout Wednesday.

It tore roofs off houses and toppled electric posts with much of the damage centred in the Eastern Visayas region.

The internet and mobile phone networks remain cut off and a full assessment of Phanfone’s destruction has not yet been made.

Disaster agency officials said at least 16 people had been confirmed dead, including a three-year-old boy and a police officer hit by a falling electricity post while out on patrol.

However, the death toll looks set to rise when rescuers reach the most stricken areas.

Among the places hit were Boracay, Coron and other holiday destinations that are famed for their white-sand beaches and popular with foreign tourists.

The airport at Kalibo, which services Boracay, was badly damaged, according to a Korean tourist who was stranded there.

Jung Byung Joon said: ‘Roads remain blocked, but some efforts have been made to clear away the damage. It’s pretty bad.

‘Everything within 100 meters of the airport looks broken. There are a lot of frustrated people at the airport as flights have been cancelled.

‘Taxis are still running but it’s windy and still raining so no one wants to leave the airport, including me.’

That was the country’s deadliest storm on record, where 190mph winds smashed into the islands, leaving more than 7,300 dead or missing.

Spokesperson for the Western Visayas disaster office, Cindy Ferrer, said that Phanfone was ‘like the younger sibling of Haiyan.

‘It’s less destructive but it followed a similar path.’

The typhoon caused chaos for tens of thousands of people in the mostly Catholic nation, wanting to travel over the Christmas period.

Ferries and plane services were suspended and 4,000 people evacuated from their homes.

On Thursday, Phanfone headed out towards the South China Sea.

The Philippines is the first major landmass facing the Pacific typhoon belt, and is hit by an average of about 20 major storms a year.

Many of the storms are deadly, and they typically wipe out harvests, homes and infrastructure, keeping millions of people perennially poor.

Uber could take to the skies as soon as 2023 as it doubled down Friday on its launch date for an air taxi service called Uber Air.
The ride-sharing company announced a partnership with California-based Joby Aviation with plans to use all-electric air crafts, known as e-VTOLs (electric vertical take off and landing) to transport up to four passengers on low-altitude, short distance, city-to-city flights, like Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Ride-sharing, but aerial.

Joby is known for keeping its prototype air taxi close to its chest —and raising a healthy sum from the investment arm of JetBlue and Toyota last year. Now it’s taking center stage as the first aircraft maker to sign onto Uber’s flight plans. With Joby’s planes the trips are supposed to be quiet, emission, and efficient, aka the electric vehicle dream.

According to current plans, the first three cities to have Uber’s air taxi business are Dallas, Los Angeles, and Melbourne, Australia, where the company will build skyports by 2023. Test flights will start in the next year.

The electric taxi space is crowded with startups like Lilium vying for an “above traffic” solution, but Uber claims its ride-sharing expertise means its offering will be miles above the rest with “airspace support.” Basically, the Uber app but in the sky.

But don’t expect UberX prices. A 20-mile trip is expected to cost around $100, a hefty price to fly over traffic jams.

According to Alexei Sokolov, deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media said, “It turned out that, in general, that both authorities and telecom operators are ready to effectively respond to possible risks and threats and ensure the functioning of the Internet and the unified telecommunication network in Russia.”

The officials didn’t reveal any specific details about the technicalities involved in the tests. Several Russian news agencies reported that in a series of tests, multiple disconnection scenarios were tested to ensure that the intranet is capable of sustaining itself without external internet. One of the tests involved a situation where Russia faces a cyberattack from a foreign country.

Russia is steamrolling itself towards its homegrown technology. Earlier this month, the Russian government announced its plans to create its own Wikipedia and will invest $31 million for the same. In November, Russia passed a bill that will ban the sale of smartphones without pre-installed Russian software.

Microsoft stopped sending out security updates for Windows XP way back in April 2014, consequently, making it vulnerable to hacking attempts.

Back in 2016, a hospital in Australia running Windows XP on their systems was attacked by a virus that took over the entire operations of hospitals. Despite the risks involved, Windows XP is still used in many households, ATM’s and many government institutions.

Putin’s Kremlin office and his official Novo-Ogaryovo residence near Moscow appears to be one of them where OpenMedia spotted Windows XP on his computer.

Later, the head of Russia’s Internet Protection Society confirmed that Putin computers run the obsolete version of Windows.

Interestingly, Microsoft Windows XP was the last operating system allowed by the government to be used in Russia’s government agencies. Meanwhile, Windows 10 can only be used in government offices that do not hold state secrets.

Arsenal have confirmed a temporary successor to Unai Emery for Sunday’s Premier League clash at Norwich City.

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) President, Gianni Infantino, has stated that the world football’s governing body was planning to raise $1billion to build at least one stadium meeting FIFA standards in every African country.

Infantino, who spoke in Lubumbashi during the 80th anniversary celebrations of DR Congo side TP Mazembe, stated that FIFA wants African football to shine and will work with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and other stakeholders to improve refereeing, infrastructure and competitions on the continent.

“We want to bring it (Africa) to the highest of heights and show the world the outstanding talent and amazingly gifted players your continent possesses,” he said.

“To do this, we want to implement a three pillar approach: refereeing, infrastructure and competitions, in close cooperation with CAF, all of its 54 member associations across Africa and other stakeholders.“I am positive that we will make African football reach the top level where it should be because the quality and potential are definitely here.”One of the plans is for FIFA to create a professional and elite group of African referees who will be independent of administration and political bodies.

This follows on from the decision taken in the last executive committee meeting of CAF where a decision to implement reforms in the refereeing sector was approved.On infrastructure, Infantino said FIFA would mobilize companies and entrepreneurs to raise around $1bn with the objective of building at least one stadium that complies with FIFA’s standards in each African country.He said FIFA will focus on developing new and better competitions to generate more revenue so that the African clubs can retain talented players.

Infantino hinted at the possibility of creating an African League that would see the best clubs from the continent play against each other, without giving further details or outlining how the plan might impact the Champions League.
