It's time for us to start thinking and fighting for our country. It's Christmas in Gaza compared to Nigeria.

Still how does that solve our problems. Regional government is not possible without regions. We no longer have regions, we now have states

Nigeria just needs to build our real economy by producing things we consume and if possible increase our export.

Once we can do that, the rate of inflation will go down and naira will appreciate in value. What we were having before was a cosmetic growth not built on the fundamental foundation of economic development. It was solely on crude export, fixed exchange rate that skewed towards the elite that had political influence thereby create arbitrage for only a select few. That was not sustainable which was why Nigeria could not meet with its obligations before

Our problem for a long time is the artificial growth we were having.

Let's produce food for our consumption and export, produce textiles we wear and if possible export. We need to reduce our consumption of foreign food and materials and encourage local production. Ina very short time, our economy will grow.
Easier said than done.

May Allah grant Professor Ishaq Akintola long life, good health fili idimot il-Islam. Amin.

I can see some posters attacking him already, what Prof. is saying is simple, GOTV should not force any religious show on anyone. Imagine sitting down, tune your TV to Supersport 1-3 to watch live football, and what you see is a Moulid program...or you tune your TV to Blitz to catch some football highlights and what they're airing is people doing Hajj/Humurah in Saudi Arabia.

Thanks Prof. once again.
You mean a private company should not have the right to decide what program to show on their channel?
You guys always take things too far.
If gotv likes, let them show juju programs on all their channels, they should have the right to do so and you have the right to subscribe to them or not. Why must this be an issue.

It was not meaningful or impactful to you because you you already had a preconceived notion or opinion, which you are entitled to. You need to stop trying to throw your weight around when you cannot grasp or understand a comment.
You are still refusing to understand. I fully get your comment. It was clear enough but completely irrelevant.
Again, you have had the opportunity to make useful comment but you seem fixed on defending your past comment. Let's move on, we shouldn't beat this issue to death. It's not worth it.

Yes your comment was clear but not really meaningful or impactful. If your argument is about the clarity of your comment, I give it to you, it was very clear
And you need to stop being defensive

And how does your opinion neglect the fact that blue collar jobs are essential to any economy?

You people need to read to understand comments before you respond.
Funny you don't even understand my comment.
So does an economy need blue collar workers?
Yes.
Is the Nigerian problem a lack of blue collar workers?
No.
So let's stop wasting time on meaningless arguments and start tackling our real problems.

That is a crude way of putting it, but Oshiomole is right. To industrialise, Nigeria needs more technical work force.

However, the socio-economic conditions and value system in nigeria does not give proper dignity and reward to such jobs, except on few occasions.

I am guessing his children are technical workers.
Nigeria already has thousands of engineers who are teaching in secondary schools. It's not about needing more, it's about what you do with the ones you have.

This is how they said Nigeria paid off its debt, but we later found out that Obasanjo and Ngozi Okonjo Iweala paid the debt off with right hand and burrowed back the money with the left hand, all in the middle of supposedly a good economy. It's like paying your microfinance loan and then burrowed the money back, who is fooling who. The lender no go kuku say anything until the loan or servicing is due, e no concern dem. When propaganda govt says something, people need to use their heads.
You need to stop embarrassing yourself. How much did OBJ pay vs how much he borrowed.
Mind you, oil prices were on the average cheaper during OBJ's time compared to your APC criminals.
Education / Re: Advise His Daughter Who Is Too Good In English But Poor In Mathematics by tctrills: 12:57pm On Nov 21
You are very lucky, she is still a child and at this stage, she can learn anything you want her to.
Maths is very important and she needs to be good at it, no excuse.
But you the parent needs the advice not her.
The question you should be asking yourself is, what is the best learning method for her.
You mentioned that she had a weak background in mathematics so I suggest you go back to the basics.
Go as far back as you need. Start from primary 1 mathematics if needs be. Slowly build that background and she will grow from there.
Also, set a target of 10 maths problems a day for her with a price at the end of each month she meets her goal.
Do this and come back in a year to post about her progress.

Your points will be valid if you don't have negative opinion about the Church or cos Apostle Arome was a spiritual leader. If this was done by someone of other profession, you could v hauled them. That's total prejudice.
Church, Christendom have bad eggs but their positivity outshines their short comings.
Peace!
I don't even know the church or the pastor. And again it's not up to you to decide who's point is valid. You seem to have an oversized opinion of yourself.

This pastor used his actions to pass another good sermon. Discipline is needed. No dey use his actions to justify anything.
An indisciplined man can't teach discipline.
No true man of God will walk out of the household of God. He was disrespectful to God and the church. Two wrongs don't make a right. Do you realize that the church is the body of Christ? Who is your pastor to walk out on the body of Christ.

Na you nor sabi power of God o!
Discipline is part of life and that angle was just the way it is. Person wey dem phones dey ring suppose don switch off, silence or put their phone on vibration.
It's common sense! Something closer happened in Matthew 21:12 when Jesus flogged traders in temple and drop them out. Cos He doesn't want distraction. Hearing ringtones in church creates distraction. Especially during sermon that there's meant to be silence for the msg to enter ya soul.
And after flogging the traders, Jesus presented one of the greatest sermons ever but your pastor feels he is more than Jesus Christ and he has the right to walk out on the church. Your pastor lacks discipline and respect for the household of God.

No dey use unparallel scenarios.
Suiciders dey enter church dey listen to preachings against suicide and still dropping in lagoon. Discipline is needed in Christendom and such occasion like Arome own is needed. If you come my church and you don anyhow, you see anyhow!
Inside love, there's discipline. It's to make you a better person and shun bad behaviors. Even in court, phones are on silent mode or switched off so why is church different?
If you justify any werey thing, I go flog you.
Daejumong, advanceDNA you hear?
You really don't know the power of the word of God. Many people have found deliverance in the preaching of the word, many have found solution and comfort. If you believe that the word of God is not powerful enough to rescue the suicidal, then you shouldn't be in church in the first place. But you pastor got angry and denied them of their right to the word of their Father. It can't be defended my brother.
It's a shame.
The pastor doesn't realize that the church is not his. He is only a servant to God and the people.

Google it.
Daejumong, Apostle Arome may appear harsh but discipline is needed in body of Christ. We don't want lukewarms or anyhowness people that lacked decorum.
Think about this,
A suicidal person came to church, hoping to listen to the word of God, looking forward to hear something or someone to give him hope.
Imagine the number of people that needed to hear the word of God that day. Imagine the number of evil and sins that would have been prevented if that pastor preached. But he got irritated and refused to fulfill his purpose. It's a shame. He showed no respect for his employer (God)
Remember the words of Christ to Peter, "Feed my sheep."
That day, the said pastor left the sheep to starve.

Importance of having elders in a church

Modified: Haven seen his previous videos from years back on this matter of phone ringing, and also the recent one where he walked out, I don't think he is wrong. In short, I agree with him. He has been preaching about the need for discipline in the body of Christ and why we need to show reverence to God's word when we come for it. Eventhough I think the person whose phone rings should be asked to leave instead of the whole congregation paying for one person's carelessness, he said he finds it difficult to ascend in the spirit when there are phone distractions. So even if the person at fault leaves, he won't still be able to impart much on the congregation( though God can be merciful).

My conclusion is that disciplinary measures like this may appear cold and unloving but at the end they would prove effective.
Picture this, imagine a suicidal person came to church, hoping to listen to the word of God, looking forward to hear something or someone to give him hope.
