If you think I will be in this disaster with you, then sorry. Why should I go to other African countries when I'm already a step inside Canada.
Then why disturbing the peace of Nigerians? Congratulations to you over there.

I guest you are working with dstv or gotv if not you will not saying what you are saying with 5 hardship in Nigerian they are increasing subscription because our leader don't care about the poor they can try this in south Africa or other countries of you are with it let those who are not ok with it voice out their mind
Not that I don't care about the plight Nigerian going through, DStv started price increase in South Africa, to Ghana and then Nigeria now. Multichoice is doing business in Nigeria for profit and not National cake, even startime increased theirs last two weeks.

what nans is trying to say is subscription should run on actual hours watched and not timed monthly.

In other words, when someone subscribes and there's no electricity or emergency travel , the subscription doesn't keep running.

Many South African company's are here to exploit. I remember MTN and Econet told us blankly there's no possibility of per second billing in Nigeria until Glo broke the jinx.

You don't have to sound stupid amd unpatriotic in your effort to appear intelligent
I only said what you explained not possible and not done anywhere in the world. What is applicable in other places is that you pay extra for a certain event like BBN or boxing fixtures. Cable TV technology not like GSM that you are using your money per second. The system on cable TV bill per day. And you don't need to abused me to sound stupid. Thanks

When you say filing station, are you specific or lumping them generally?

Let me add, the oil and gas industry is heavily subsidised. This led to the birth of black market. Legislation are made regarding fuel price, the customs (FOU) locks up fuel station selling above the market price

There are other regulatory bodies too. I've been to some border areas and this is a regular practice.

If a fuel station decides to sell at a higher rate, people patronise the other station wifh lower price. This interaction brings price to equilibrium

For DSTV, bulk of their revenue is generated from Nigeria and why they practice "pay as you go" in other countries is due to their stringent labour laws

We are not asking for special treatment but what is obtainable in saner climes.
Mentioned where cable TV operate pay as you go all over the world. The only thing being done is exclusive channel pay just like BBN channel or special boxing fixtures, and you would pay heavily for it. Please get fact before confusing people . Technology in cable TV cannot support pay as go like GSM. Asked yourself why Startimes, moreplex TV or TSTv never start pay as you go? . Thank you.

I went there for holiday, I wasn't the one paying. Telling u what I found out. Sky cable has basic channels which are automatic for all subscribers. I was trying out all channels, but I when I click on some particular channels, it will demand for payment. So my host told me that for each of those channels, u have to pay to subscribe to them. So I don't need to upgrade from compact + to premium just because I want to watch channel 203. There, everyone has basic channels, u just pay for 203
This was what multichoice told Nigerian government when they asked for pay per view, but they now said that option was more expensive than bouquets view currently operating.

say what u know. I was in UK last year. Sky there is like DSTV here. There are basic channels and other channels u pay to subscribe to. They even have adult channels, u select whichever u want and subscribe to it.
I subscribe to dstv premium but don't even watch up to 10 channels out of the over 200 channels it has.
And I can't lower subscription because some channels I watch are only on premium.
You mean you pay per view, or you pay for exclusive channel over there?

What has our senate been doing?

There is this school of thought that believes that when FDIs grow to a certain extent, they behave with impunity and influence state actors in that locality
Is it because its foreign business in Nigeria? Your fuel station deliberately refused to sell at normal approved price you never called senate, but because of DSTV and GOtv you now remember senate?

This people mumu no be here. Time without number they have raised this issue of pay per view any time there is upward price review, nothing like pay per view in cable subscription. Only exclusive channel payment is available which is even more expensive. Besides what concerns students with watching cable TV, they should protest for not having light and water in there various campuses.

Health / Re: Please Help, My Son Has Dandruff For Over 8years Now by Temidayo9(m): 2:25pm On Apr 19, 2023
7david7:
Good morning my people, I am writing you people at this delicate hour of 12:39am because my son's condition, it's getting worse by the day.

Dandruff wants to kill this beautiful boy, I know it's weird because we all know, myself included that dandruff doesn't kill, but watching myself lose a part of my son everyday.

He's been suffering from this condition for over 6yrs now, we've gone to the hospital and after buying and using all the prescribed drugs (Nizoral shampoo, selsun blue, head and shoulders, tea tree oil, miconazole cream, ketoconazole cream, terbinafine cream, fluconazole tablet, terbinafine tablet: almost killed my son, griseofulvin etc) nothing has changed, instead it's getting worse by day.

From complaining of headaches, to weakness (my son that was filled with energy and plays all the time now barely moves, he is always one place complaining of tiredness and pain), to joint pains, to confusion.

According to him, this dandruff has ate up his scalp so much that he can now taste his bathing soap on his tongue the moment he washes his head. We are now scared of washing and applying anything on his head because he will complain of tasting whatever we put on his head in his mouth and he will start having reactions. It's almost as if the skin on his scalp no longer protects him from outside soaps and other ingredients.

The moment he washes his head, his lips and tongue will swell up and he will start having reactions. My once active and lovely boy is now a shadow of himself. He's refusing to play, always complaining of tiredness and pains.

Pls help me my people, I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried every hospital and everything, I've done all I know, and now I'm watching my son deteriorate gradually before my very eyes without having a clue what to do, pls I beg you, help him, help me.

It's the other way round oga.

Bad leaders who don't set good examples will get bad citizens.

When citizens hear leaders doing nonsense what will you get? You'll hear them saying after all those in power are doing worse.

Abi you forget say after God na government?
Ask yourself how good is your governor, House of assembly, chairman and counselor of your state? Are they not from your bad society? Bad family begath bad community, then bad society. How can a good leader emerge among the bad people of Nigeria.

I don’t care the sentiment you use. But don’t blame citizens. What Nigeria needs is a good and visionary leader.

Nigeria politicians bastardised the system. Steal your money and still blame the citizen

Stop blaming the citizen. If only we get few good leaders in places… it will flow down
Good citizen would get good leaders, bad citizen would get bad leaders

Properties / Re: 7 Proven And Easy Ways To Reduce Your Next Building Cost! by Temidayo9(m): 8:29pm On Mar 21, 2023
DaniellaDokubo:
Over time I came to realize these are some of the way to reduce or manage building cost. See them stated briefly below.

Please feel free to critic or contribute.

1. Purchase most of your building materials upfront if possible. Especially the ones that can not be stolen easily.
2. Prefer minimalistic designs. But wider exterior with lots of greenery. You will thank me forever on this...haha
3. Avoid unnecessary shoot outs, corners etc. Yes it adds to its modern look but has no added functional purpose.
4. Compromise on materials that are easily replaceable ...lol. This is a hard swallow but I said what I said. Things like wall and floor tiles, paint quality etc. But never on manpower or structural items like columns, beams, cement mix, building level, wood for roof etc.
5. During design stage group toilets and other utilities close to each and let them share the same wall. This will reduce the number of pipes flying everywhere. It has post construction benefits for maintenance reasons too.
6. If possible, allow for cross ventilated spaces and wider or multiple windows or entrance. it permits smaller spaces to be comfortable or habitable especially meeting the cooling load.
7. By extension of No. 6 use bright coloured paint coatings to reduce heat adsorption on the exterior as it also gives an impression of space.

Bonus Point
8. If your land size is wide and erosion is not an issue, use carpet grasses and some horticultural plants to cover the open spaces rather than flooring entirely.

Namaste...
👌These worth more than Million gift.
