Crime / Re: Policemen Dismissed For Stealing ₦1.3 Million and $5000 From A Man In Lagos by TheSalient: 11:02am On Oct 13, 2022
I wish could all make use of this advice, but, we live in a capitalism world, where all we must think of is money.
viqSmallz:
Deliberate transformation and reorientation will do good to the NPF. However, the onus still lies on the citizenry, because in the end, the citizenry is the source of employment for the NPF. Check other civil services and agencies, the same fraudulent approach to things. Everone is out to rip everyone. The only difference is they do not use arms.

We need to reorientate ourselves and downplay the importance of money is our culture.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Nigeria’s Constitution Allows Muslim Women To Wear Hijab – FG by TheSalient: 1:00pm On Feb 25, 2022
And why are the Muslim students in government school being victimised? Who expect a Baptist students to wear hijab before? Excerpt if the Baptist school is a government own
Basheer22:
You can't go to Baptist school and wear hijab. It doesn't make sense. You can do that in a government school or Islamic school.
Adamu Adamu should leave hijab and focus on ASUU. They are on strike and that's a more pressing matter.
Education / Re: Hijab: Kwara Shuts Baptist High School Over Crisis by TheSalient: 12:20pm On Feb 04, 2022
I don't know how empty your brain is but, it is written there that the school is a public school. Come to Muslim high school in Ogun state, 80% of the pupils are Christians, it is government school, the name doesn't matter. Stop defending intolerance, we are supposed to live amicably among ourselves,

Business / Re: OPEC: Nigeria Regains Africa Top Spot As Oil Production Rises By 47,000 BPD by TheSalient: 9:18am On Dec 14, 2021
Stop saying nonsense talk Jo, is ordinary man buying fuel at the same price as other countries buying it?
Stevenson20:
God please take away this oil from Nigeria. Ordinary man have not benefited from the oil, let alone using it to transform the country. My mind is telling me that God cursed Nigeria with oil. Just look at ordinary Dubai known for their dry land and how they transformed it to a world class country.

Politics / Re: Ngige: Igbo Presidency Will Bury The Ghosts Of Civil War Permanently by TheSalient: 9:21am On Dec 08, 2021
Let's face it, you people are too greedy, the same thing was said doing the GEJ, yet, when he left office, you want to divide the country. What will happen when the next Igbo president leave office? Just say what you actually want, to be the president of Nigeria continuously.

I like your view on this post, I wish I knew you.
FreeStuffsNG:
It beats my imagination how the FG sits by with reckless abandon and allow trained hands it trained or substantially subsidise their training to immediately graduate and head overseas to work there leaving their parents behind for others to care and attend to.

If you go overseas, you better take your family along, especially your parents. This is because nobody here will take you serious when you are overseas and start suggesting interventions when your parents get into health crisis. It happened recently with Dr Malaifa. Nigerian health care professionals who stay back mock them with "sebi it is us who can't go overseas to practice too and abandon our parents? ". Even if you are staying far from Nigeria because you are from a dysfunctional family system here at home, to avoid stories that touch, take your parents along or that Nigerian system you cheated will , sadly, consume them. I know few who come home only for funerals and it's sad listening to their accounts of how their parents die without reaping the benefits of having children who are healthcare professionals.

Those who stayed behind to develop and serve their fatherland could as well have left like you too. As we type here, Cuban health care professionals will hardly leave their country and considered one of the least paid in the world but for the love for their country and parents, they stay within their country and serve. Since all these years we have been "exporting " doctors, Pharmacists, Nurses etc overseas, we have never seen any of our 'exports' on Forbes list or rank high among wealthy Nigerians, making one to wonder if they are truly that successful financially overseas. I even see a few do better here than some overseas! So who is NMA fooling?

Honestly, I blame the FG for not putting measures in place to get value for taxpayers who they used their money to train the NMA members. It's completely unacceptable.
All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las, they always lose. God bless Nigeria forever.

Politics / Re: IGR: Lagos Leads As FCT Beats Rivers, Kano, 33 Others by TheSalient: 8:32am On Nov 10, 2021
I was about to say the same, I really wonder how my governor continues to give emphatic gestures, "no money", when he is being asked why the roads are bad. Ogun people need to be wise seriously, no vote if some roads are not done, especially that Sango Ota road.
seeker121:
Don't know why Ogun state can't come second or third considering it proximity with Lagos. My state is just blessed with unfortunate and clueless governors. To make matter worst they brought another clueless being PDA to steer it affairs.A good governor will focus on how to increase the IGR because a good road network between Lagos and Ogun will contribute to that. But it seems we no get luck when it comes to roads the matter don even tire Mathias sef.

pixeldensity:

You should understand that roads can be constructed to a high standard where trailers can ply the road as much as they want without causing damage to the road. The country just doesn't want to construct things to the best of standards. Moreover, there are no better alternatives for affordable transportation of cargo in the country
Yes, but, in every country, there is always road where heavy vehicle can ply and the ones they can't, if the state sense that the road is not meant for heavy vehicle, it has the right to block them.

Who gave you the most educated tribe? That's how you people keep deceiving yourselves
mrvitalis:
The north is not ready for education honestly
From history
By 1900 most British officers and Clark's were mostly northerners eastern region especially igbos were largely behind in education

Igbos didn't wait for government to build schools for them , they learned from the missionaries and started building community schools ...go to Igbo land 60% of schools are community schools that was how igbos bridge the gap and today are arguably Nigeria most educated tribe

North have every thing to educate themselves ...some local government in north don't have secondary schools , like the one tambuwal started constructing their first secondary school few years ago my small village have 6 community primary schools one community secondary school over 20 private primary and secondary schools

Stop the English, what have they gain as English player? At least, they would have won Nations cup by now if they had chosen Nigeria.

Who says they're regretting anything?

A few weeks ago Tamy Abraham was on record encouraging Eze to stick with his choice to play for England.

And as for Saka, the little racism he experienced is not something he wasn't expecting when he made hat decision.
