Business / Re: Guide To Create, Verify, And Activate Wise Account In Nigeria by Thiago6(m): 2:58pm On Mar 26, 2023 |
I want to convert the funds in my dollar account to pounds, but PayPal won't let me do this. I created a Wise account, but when it was time to put my dollar card details, it said cards from this country (Nigeria) are not accepted. Please how do I navigate this? |

rayralph: How about if the payment is sent to a dollar account and later transferred to a UK account with a 3rd party exchanger like PayPal or Lemonade? |

Good evening. Please, what are the available ways to send/transfer money from a Nigerian Naira account to a UK account? Tried Lemonade, but the process looks foreign to me (if it even exists). I'd really appreciate replies to this. Thanks in advance. |

Good evening house, Massive kudos to everyone and anyone here that take out time to provide invaluable information to the rest of us. It is much appreciated. On that note, is Lebara a good network provider for people just moving to the UK? If no, what are the best options? The best plans? Thank you all in advance. |

I greet the house oh. Please, is it possible to send funds from a Nigerian dollar account to a bank account in the UK? If it's not possible, what other alternatives do I have to transfer money from Nigeria to a UK account? I'd really appreciate a reply. Thanks in advance. |

opeyemifelix: In my experience, it isn't necessary/mandatory. In my case, I didn't call or email them. I just got a mail from TLS that my travel document was ready for collection. However, if you want the safety/assurance of a paid call/mail, go ahead. There's no harm. 2 Likes |

Bukatex: I did. I've also been looking for Nigerian students going to NTU in September. |

Teos: I think it is. TLS Abuja was very full today and I'm sure not everyone had appointments. 3 Likes |

VISA ALERT I thank God for His mercies, blessings and guidance. Online application – 14th/15th June (started around 11:30pm, so finished in the early hours of the next day). Biometrics (Abuja TLS) – 27th June. Application transferred to DMC – 27th June. Application received by DMC – 27th June. TLS collection mails (I don't know why they sent two, but they did) – 14th July. Passport (with vignette) collected – 15th July. Documents submitted/uploaded: 1. Passport data page. 2. Transcript. 3. IELTS test certificate (I could've used my WAEC result, but I had already written IELTS since February last year). 4. Tuberculosis test certificate. 5. My bank statement generated via Zenith Bank's mobile app (no stamp/seal/signature). Here's me wishing you all good luck in your respective applications. Try to be as honest as possible. Even if you make some mistakes, as far as those mistakes are not grave, UKVI will rightly access you. After all, you're only human – and so are they. Good luck and Godspeed to the rest of you once again. PS. If there's anyone here going to Nottingham Trent University in September, I'd really love if we could connect. If there's a WhatsApp group to join, that would also be swell. 23 Likes |

Jvas: How about someone that was given a scholarship (and has already paid the £3k advanced payment)? How can they go about paying the remainder of their tution with Form A without an invoice stating the remainder of the tuition? PS. I intend to send NTU a message on Monday requesting for an invoice that highlights this. I genuinely hope they send me one, but if they don't, I want to have an idea of what I can use as evidence instead. |
