For instance Jesus, Holy Spirit both are found in just one book revered as SCRIPTURES while others have their books as well and names of prophet or character in their books.

So i ask you again what assurance do you have that yours is more authentic that the others?

Jesus said he is the only way, the truth and the life. Only the bible has an answer to everything. Only the Word of God has an answer to sin. Only the bible has prophecies of events that have happened and others that will still happen. And the Holyspirit bears witness with our spirits. We know it more than we know our names. That's why we evangelise cos you can't keep this hope to yourself

Truly a christian's true joy is in his renewed spirit now and no more in his flesh. However the issue of comfort is a different thing. A christian may in his spirit not delight in sin but still find comfort or pleasure in what is familiar to him, which is sin.

Let's look at the explanation in Romans 7: 18-25

18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

When we read this passage, we often think Paul is saying sin is an unejoyable pull and because we are christians now nothing in us is comfortable with sin. But that's not true, as we still have the flesh in our members that love sinning. We are redeemed from sin and we are no longer in the flesh but only our Spirits are presently new, every other part needs to be brought under subjection and their deeds mortified that's why there are admonitions to forsake the flesh and walk in the Spirit. Positionally, we are in the spirit but in our everyday walk, we have to choose between the flesh and the spirit. Galatians 5:16, Romans 8:13

Nobody would counsel you to walk in the Spirit if your will is to walk in the spirit. You love God and want to serve him, but only in your Spirit is this true, your will needs to be released from the bondage of sin so you can walk in the spirit else the default mode of your will in this world is to sin. From all this, your will is distinct from your spirit. They are not the same thing. So if your will is still bound to sin, your inner man would protest and God would chastise, but that would not take away the pleasure of sin in your members that keep you in sin.

Even if you were totally away from sin,you can never be worthy to be before him by that.We can only be free to approach him because of the price Jesus paid which was the last price to ever be paid and NOT! because of our righteousness. We can't even be righteous by our works!!!

Our everyday victory over sin depends on our everyday seeing of the victory of the cross by faith.

To the Op, thanks for bringing this up. I've often wondered myself. I may be wrong but I think the power is rightly from the Holy Spirit but I've not seen anywhere in the bible where the power is being used this way. I think its the same as praying in tongues in the church without an interpreter. Its like using the gift of God in an incorrect manner? Idunno

This shouldn't be confused with casting out an evil spirit though as the victim may react by falling too. But "slain in the Spirit" is strange to me. I would love to know the after effect of such on a believer's life

Well I would be shocked too if I am either an unbeliever or a christian comfortable in sin. I would be so terrified in the presence of God and see myself as unworthy to be before him.

Except God is mercifully granting an unbeliever a vision or visions to cause him/her to repent, the final end of every unbeliever is not heaven but hell… where the worms don't die and the fire never go out. No unbeliever after death and judgement is going to be with the Lord. God would have loved to have them with him but then he is holy and cannot go against his word.

He has said that whoever does not believe in his son, Jesus Christ is condemned already. And through his ministers on earth, he has been reaching out to men and calling them to repent from every lie they believe and trust in this one way that God has provided. God would not, cannot even, as he is bound by his word, accept anyone outside of Christ. Let no one deceive you friend, Jesus Christ is the only way to God. Man fell from God, Man has been redeemed back to God by Christ only.

As for carnal christians who are saved but are living in sin, God is already judging them through chastening so they won't be condemned like the world. God isn't judging the world yet but he is judging his children presently. That's why so many christians are poor, sick, mentally imbalanced, depressed, trapped and suffer many setbacks. We are being disciplined now as Sons of God so we don't perish with the world. And if we insist on walking against God's will we would suffer great loss in the future at Christ's return. It is not very clear yet what this loss would look like but its serious and very costly.

Therefore, I call on you the unsaved to know that there is a perfect God who will reward every man what he duly deserves. The justice system in our countries are just a reflection of a greater and pure Judgement throne. Your sense of morality proves his laws of good and evil are real and effective. Don't think you will meet a love feast once you pass on without Christ. That's a realm unknown to most of the world but sure believe that it supersedes what you have here on earth. Remember, Christ has been punished for your sins on the cross. Only accept him as Lord and what he has done.

To the carnal believer, please repent from living in sin. I challenge you to read the book of Romans especially from chapter 3-9 carefully. God didn't save us to continue being slaves to sin. He solved the issue of sin completely on the cross. Not only was Christ our substitute, we co-died with him on the cross. Pray 🙏 and fast to God to open your eyes to see that you died when Christ died. Mentally knowing this would not bring the power to overcome sin, it is only by revelation. When you see it, the victory manifests.

In conclusion God loves mankind and has chosen us to be his house where he dwells. No wonder he thoroughly redeemed us through Christ. Today when we hear his word, let us not turn away cos there is no more sacrifice apart from Christ. Come to him and know he is the reason for the season🎄🌹

Amen. God bless you too! I give the Lord credit for everything I know today cos I myself was caught up in errors for years too. That's why its best one shows grace to others since we are all prone to deception the moment we stop watching

I didn't know I'll one day be putting something down regarding any tv ministry. I'm not a fan of them like that.

Daystar is a christian tv ministry that has been operating for decades now. They have daystar youtube and instagram. The ministry was founded by Marcus Lamb(late, passed on in 2021 due to covid19 complications) and his wife, Joni Lamb(current president of Daystar)

The first time I saw a program on daystar was in 2020 when they hosted Joseph prince. That year I started to really learn about the gospel of grace so I was munching on every JP's video I came across and landed on the one he did with this Daystar.

Joni, her daughter, Rachel and some other women I think were having a round table discussion with Joseph Prince. They seemed interested at first to me until I realised it was just another of those discussions for them. I saw some of their videos and saw that they interview anyone with a christian tag, even people with extreme views. They welcomed every type of thing, mostly lifestyle discussions that had nothing to do with christianity but given christian dresses. They were interested in the gospel of grace, same way they were interested in other things.

So I had this passing thought that this woman isn't really what she is posing to be. The whole thing looked like a show and I didn't sense anything spiritual in them. I may be wrong, and I'll be glad if I'm wrong here and these people truly know the Lord but are just carried away, then there is hope right? What unsettled me was the fact that if the christian label is removed from the show you wouldn't tell the difference from a secular show. Maybe a little difference. For one of the biggest christian channels, that's too bad.

I'm not saying they don't post some biblical messages on their SM pages, but what makes daystar is the round-the-table talks with Marcus and Joni.

Never watched Marcus and I think he was sick that year and unfortunately didn't recover.

I enjoyed JP's presentation of grace and that was what mattered to me primarily but I never forgot the impression the hosts especially Joni left me with.

Fastforward to 2021 and I was seeing the news of Marcus Lamb's death on youtube. I didn't know him but I felt he must be very popular to have this large coverage. I clicked on one of the videos, and it was Joni Lamb talking about his death. And I was like oh, this woman again, Marcus is her husband? she just lost him and was taking it "gracefully". I went from sad that a christian minister had gone to be with the Lord to feeling really weird about Joni talking about her husband's death like that. I know people grief differently and for believers for the hope of the gospel we are expected to not mourn over a dead brother or sister as they are not really dead but with the Lord. However, Joni's "acceptance" left me really wondering. I couldn't define it but I sensed something wasn't right. I moved on since I wasn't even a member of their ministry right but I didn't forget these impressions.

Just last month mid November, her son Jonathan Lamb and his wife Suzie Lamb made a youtube video explaining why they are no longer members of Daystar. Jonathan said he was fired and they were both afraid for their lives as it seemed they were being tracked. They gave the reason for coming out to the public, which was to let everyone know that they were afraid for their lives for keeping their convictions which went against their mother's, Joni. Lamb. And why they were no longer being seen on the Daystar.

They revealed a lot and why they were dismissed.

Before I continue, I didn't know the woman, Joni Lamb had remarried. I never followed up

In 2023, she remarried a man who divorced his wife two months after Marcus Lamb's death. This man wasn't just any man, he was a family friend and a guest on their show numerous times. His name is Doug Weiss. He divorced his wife of over 30years, Lisa Weiss for no biblical reason. He claimed "spiritual abandonement".

Doug Weiss is a marriage counselor who has written books on how to have a successful marriage and also a sex therapist.

Doug Weiss has a company where his wife is a staff. She is still working for him and has not said anything since the divorce! What is this? And what does this mean? Are they trying to rip off Joni Lamb or is this just a drifter trying to ascend a higher platform? Ah, how the name of Christ suffers for wolves!!

Back to Jonathan and Suzie. They've released audio evidences of them being asked by the board members of Daystar to sign a non-disclosure agreement to not publicise any information or agreement/disagreement reached by the board members. They couple refused to sign them and were shown the door.

How did they get here? where they are refusing to sign an NDA and protect Daystar like the rest. Jonathan said he couldn't trust them anymore. That means signing the papers would be nailing themselves.

Two very serious issues led them to this point.

The first is the sexual assaulting of thier daughter when she was 5 by a close faimly member, who everyone calls Pete for now since its still alleged. But this Pete's character according to the story and general interpretation matches with Joshua Brown's, Rachel's husband. Rachel is one of Joni's daugthers.

The second is Joni's remarriage to Doug Weiss.

Let's start with the first. Their daughter told them she was touched by a guy that was taller than her Dad. And then later she stops talking even when probed. Suzie said her daughter wouldn't talk about it after she had a discussion with Joni, her grandmother. She claims Joni is responsible for her daughter's silence.
They decided to watch her reaction around every family member and noticed she went limp the moment Rachel and Pete showed up.

Another time, Jonathan goes upstairs to her room and finds her undressing and Pete was by the window carrying a baby(according to Joni who wasn't there, he was looking out and didn't know when the girl came up) Jonathan wasn't having it.

Then another scenario where Pete was naked in the bathtub and claimed the 5yr old badged into him.

What made the suspicions grow worse was when Rebecca, Joni Lamb's other daughter and her husband warned Jonathan and Suzie about Pete. They'd told off Pete from coming to their house and told Jonathan and Suzie that they'd caught him kissing and smooching a child.

Anyways, when all these happened Marcus was still alive. They reported the case to him and Joni and after what looked like a washy investigation, Marcus and Joni told them the matter had been settled and shouldn't be brought up again.

They trusted them and let the matter go but not completely.

The second was Joni's marriage. This was what I believe let to the sack. Jonathan and Suzie said they had gradually come to a point where they couldn't endorse Joni's marriage because it was adulterous. According to Suzie, Lisa begged Doug Weiss not to divorce her. Joni claims that they(Jonathan and Suzie) were okay with the marriage at first until she said Doug would be joining her to co-host. She said at first, Marcus willed the ministry to his son, Jonathan, but when they kept pursuing the sexual assault case against the decision of their parents, Marcus rewrote his will two months before his death and gave her the right of inheritance of Daystar. (Marcus was said to have been recovering well and suddenly died to everyone's surprise)

Joni wanted them to acknowledge Doug Weiss and say nice things about him on the show and they wouldn't bulge. She wasn't going to work with people who wouldn't accept her marriage. Every other reason they gave was secondary to this from what I've seen.



What I have against Jonathan and Suzie(but let God be the ultimate Judge

1)They don't seem to have a submissive attitude:

Having a submissive attitude is supposed to be our natural disposition when faced with authority.

They are right to not obey Joni on acknowleding her adulterous marriage. They are right to want the root and final matter of the sexual assault against their daughter by going against any cover up.

We are told to disobey an authority when they want us to go against God. We are not to give absolute obedience to any other authority or man except God. But we are to have a ready to submit attitude to authorities always, this is because the things that call for obedience to authority far outweigh the things that call for disobedience because God is the one that has ordained all these authorities. He primarily made them for rewarding good and punishing evil. The cases where we have to go against them are not frequent. So even when we disobey them for instructing us against God, we should still continue to pay our dues and be respectful. We shouldn't turn into rebels and think we can do whatever we like.

For instance,

The board meetings where they were being questioned by Joni and the elder leaders of Daystar, Jonathan and Suzie kept cutting them off and wouldn't let them complete a sentence or finish what they were saying before speaking over them.

Yes, they were right to disobey, but their attitude towards these elders was wrong.

2) Open to compromise

What if they are not completely honest? but only God and circumstances expose the interiors of our heart. When they were being questioned in one of the leaked audios, I noticed they found it difficult to plainly say she was in adultery, they just kept going round and round. I mean just say what you want to say. It's adultery say it as it is. They will need a strong and unrelenting faith

3) Weak faith

I just feel they sound so flat for people who have been in ministry for years. What they are dealing with is not about personal convictions its about the TRUTH and the lie. About Light and darkness. Not what you think or will allow but what GOD'S WORD says

Like all of us, they have a lot of growing up in the knowledge of the Lord to do. I hope this step is a step in that direction. Go to the Lord more and less to the media. May the Lord direct their paths from henceforth and use them mightily for his glory. Amen.

Its worrying. The reason I always leave church still dissatisfied. We need to return back to the cross. Church programs don't change people only the undiluted gospel of the Lord Jesus

That's because you have refused to look at these things from God's own side. You uphold your perspective of the world, sin and good above God's REVEALED truth.
