About Dorben Polytechnic:

Dorben Polytechnic (formerly Abuja School of Accountancy and Computer Studies-ASACS) has its main campus located in Garam, Niger State, Nigeria, and another campus just to the north in Suleja, Niger State.

It is usually addressed as Dorben Polytechnic (Bwari) Abuja, since it originally had its main campus in Bwari, Abuja (and which is where the process of accreditation started).

Privately owned, the polytechnic provides training leading to the award of National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programs for students who intend to work as accountants, computer specialists, administrators, and managers.


History
It was incorporated in 1995 and was approved and accredited as a school by the National Board for Technical Education and the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Education in 1999.

Starting with just 250 students, as of 2010 Dorben had more than 3500 students and over 45 faculty members.

Before being accredited as a polytechnic in 2007, the school had to acquire 50 hectares of land, have a minimum of one hundred million naira bank guarantee and mount core engineering programs

Fhi 360 - Executive Officer
Basic Functions

The Executive Officer will work cohesively with the Country Director to perform functions related to conducting desk reviews, researching, reviewing reports, drafting abstracts and/or manuscripts for publishing, and working on developing proposals under the direction of the Country Director in FHI 360 Nigeria.
Provide administrative, secretarial, and operational support for the Country Office while managing and carrying out complex and confidential administrative tasks to guarantee the success of assigned executive operations. Manage all administrative issues and give the CD and project directors direct support.
Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the CD in conducting desk reviews, research and reviewing reports.
Assist in the development of technical documents, including abstracts and/or manuscripts for publications and draft proposals. Ensure documents are properly written and meet pre-set standards.
Assist in the collation of project operational workplan and reports, including those of other project programs for an integrated program.
Collate and produce technical program narrative reports and carry out technical reviews of documents for the attention of the Country Director.
Draft correspondence and reports as requested. Record quality minutes of meetings convened and attended by the Country Director.
Manage Country Director office records and filings as appropriate.
Assist the CD in assuring effective planning, implementation and management of assigned projects in FHI 360 Nigeria.
Assist the CD in strengthening systems for reporting on program progress against stated objectives and monitoring and evaluation frameworks, according to FHI 360 and the respective donor guidelines.
Assist the CD in the development of program strategies, subproject documents, work plans and budgets.
Manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence to include reports, forms, faxes, and emails, to include troubleshooting for problems, back up documentation, and dissemination of information as appropriate.
Liaise with FHI 360 Executive Office staff. Provide and organize all support materials in advance for meetings and travel on behalf of the Country Director.
Manage travel arrangements for Executive’s Office, overseeing travel authorizations and expense reports, reviewing trip reports for content and format, coordinating travel arrangements.
Work closely with staff in the Executive’s Office and as needed with other FHI 360 groups to ensure the timely flow of work. Coordinate and manage international travels and oversee hotel reservations for the Country Director and other international staff Track and follow up on status of outstanding actions and requests on behalf of the Country Director
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Country Director.
Qualifications and requirements

BS / BA in Public Health, Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences or its recognized equivalent with 3 – 5 years of relevant experience with international development programs.
Or MS / MA Degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences or its recognized equivalent with 1-3 years relevant experience with international development programs.
Familiarity with administrative skills is a must.
Familiarity with program management including research is a must.
Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is an advantage.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Knowledge of health and development programming in a developing country.
Resourceful through technology, research skills, and relationship building among several organization teams and units and professional organizations to resolve problems and initiate enhancements.
Working knowledge of major donor policies as well as international not-for- profit organizations.
Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding HIV infection.
Ability to organize systems to monitor administrative and implementation results.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with proficiency in word processing, PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to type 50 correct words per minute. Ability to organize, coordinate and effectively prioritize high volume work independently and as a team under tight deadlines, while providing attention to detail.
Considerable skills in oral and written communication. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of staff, representatives of donors and collaborating agencies, individuals from diverse cultures, and the public. Ability to negotiate tactfully.
Initiative and discretion in judging and managing confidential matters, materials and sensitive issues.
Proficiency in secretarial skills to include grammar, spelling and proofreading.

Application Guidelines / Qualifications
Candidates are advised to read the following instructions thoroughly before completing the Nigerian Navy online Recruitment Form. Any incomplete or wrongly completed Form will be rejected and will not be processed:

Applicants must be citizens of Nigeria by birth.
Applicants must be between the ages of 18 – 22 years by February 2023 for School Certificate holders and 18 – 26 years for those with higher qualifications such as Nurses, NCE, OND, drivers, etc.
Applicants must not be married or have children.
Applicants must be free from any previous criminal conviction by a court of law.
Applicants with any of the following medical/physical challenges are NOT to apply: Sight problem, ear problem, communicable diseases, mental problems, stammering, or any physical disability. Applicants who have tattoos are also not to apply.
Applicants must not be below the height of 1.69 meters for males and 1.650 meters for females.
Applicants are required to possess any of the following educational / professional qualifications (As applicable to the role you are applying for)
West African Senior School Certificate Examination Certificate (not more than 2 sittings and not older than 6 years from the date of application, also applicable to subparagraphs 2 – 5)
General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level
National Examination Council (NECO).
National Business and Technical Examinations (NABTEB).
WAEC City and Guilds or London City and Guild.
Ordinary National Diploma (OND).
Any other educational qualification equivalent to those mentioned above.

Applicants would be required to produce their primary school leaving certificate at the selection interview.
All applicants must indicate/provide their National Identification Number (NIN).
Any other additional qualifications in these categories can only serve as an added advantage for selection into the Branch and shall not attract any extra advantage whatsoever.
Applicants with other educational / professional qualifications higher than those stated in paragraph 1 – 7 are not to apply.
Applicants are warned that it is an offence to present false or forged documents for the Recruitment.
Certificates or qualifications not declared or tendered and accepted during the Recruitment exercise are not acceptable after recruitment and cannot be tendered for the purpose of change of department or advancement while already in the Nigerian Navy.
Only qualifications obtained under proper service provisions are acceptable while in the Nigerian Navy.
Applicants are required to print out Parent/Guardian consent Form and Local Government Attestation Form which must be properly completed, endorsed, and presented during the interview.
Applicants must come to the recruitment centres with the following documents:
Photocopies of Birth Certificate or Age Declaration.
Photocopies of Credentials.
Duly completed Identification Form must be signed by Chairman or Secretary of the Applicant’s LGA or by an officer of the rank of Commander and above (or equivalent in the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Air Force) or Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) and above who hails from the Applicant’s State of Origin.
Duly completed Parent/Guardian Consent Form signed by Applicant’s Parent or Guardian.
Four (4) passport photographs duly signed and stamped at the back by (c) above.
Candidates are to bring the scratch cards of their NECO and WAEC results to the recruitment centres.
Application Form is to be completed and submitted online.
Any applicant suspected or confirmed to have impersonated, falsified, forged or presented false document(s) shall be disqualified from the Recruitment exercise and handed over to the appropriate law enforcement agency for prosecution.
The date for the Recruitment Aptitude Test will be posted on the NN portal in due course.

We are looking for a result-oriented IT Administrator to manage the company’s computer infrastructure and maintain information system. The ideal candidate will upgrade and install hardware and software, perform troubleshooting to resolve IT issues, back up data, manage network security, and maintenance of network and servers.

Responsibilities

Manage and plan onsite ticket operations in the host country, host city and stadium facilities.
Develop and plan the onsite ticketing operations in relation to mobile tickets.
Support the development of the mobile ticket platforms by specifying and reviewing operational requirements and aligning with other functional areas involved in the tournament operations.
Develop processes for troubleshooting to be applied by ticketing onsite staff during tournament operations in the ticketing system and the mobile ticketing

Develop training and learning materials for the onsite mobile ticketing operations and support and maintain collaboration platforms for ticketing onsite staff.
Deliver trainings to selected groups of staff.
Support the overall operational planning of processes and policies.
Support development of staffing profiles and descriptions for various onsite roles ranging from managers to volunteers.
Manage and support ticketing onsite staff in their daily operations.
Prepare materials and documentation required to carry out onsite operations and reporting.
Liaise with various ticketing teams and ticketing service providers to understand and consolidate ticketing information for onsite staff.
Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in an operational role in ticketing ideally with experience in managing onsite mobile ticketing operations.
Event / Project Management experience.
Experience in managing onsite mobile ticketing operations
Fluent in English and/or French Language both written and spoken; command of any of the other CAF official languages (English, French or Arabic) is a Plus.

1. Don’t be late or too early
Arriving late for the interview is a rude gesture that always makes a bad impression, but so is arriving too early. In both cases you can cause the feeling that you do not calculate the time well, in the first case, it is also perceived as disrespectful, and in the second, it can seem that you are living in a desperate situation.

2. Do not have the mobile on
Turn off your mobile minutes before entering the room where you are going to be interviewed. Do not leave it for the last moment or you will run the risk of forgetting it. If your cell phone rings during the interview, it will interrupt your interviewer’s work and create an awkward situation that will not benefit you at all.

3. Don’t get bogged down in an argument
Freely express your opinions but never start or maintain an argument. It is not about giving the reason without complaining to those who do not have it, but try not to see yourself involved in an argument. It will be an embarrassing situation that will position you as a conflictive person.

4. Do not gesticulate exaggeratedly
Your gestures and your postures are more important than you think. They say a lot about you and reveal what you feel. For example, don’t sit on the edge of the chair or wave your hands insistently. Try to look your interviewer or interviewers in the eye, but not in a threatening way. Smile and behave naturally.

5. Do not take the initiative: let the interviewer direct the interview

Job Description
The team you would join:

The Area Business Manager will lead sales, collections and distribution operations in the area they are assigned for the direct distribution of Sun King Solar products sold on Pay-As-You-Basis (also called and recognized as the “EasyBuy” Business unit) through a network of agents called as “Energy Officer”.
EasyBuy technology and services allow customers to purchase units by paying for their Solar products in small instalments, thus ensuring they are extremely affordable for off-grid or rural customers.
The Area Business Manager is ultimately accountable for generating sales, ensuring collections are timely and accurate and keeping the entire Direct Distribution growing rapidly in a sustainable manager.
Responsibilities
What you would be expected to do:

Hire & retain Energy Officers: Hire, train and maintain a team of atleast 40 active Sun King Energy Officers in the area. Use multiple avenues for finding the right talent to sell Sun King EasyBuy products with the help of village influencers such as the village heads, teachers, religious heads, doctors, farmers and others, as applicable. Create a reputation and goodwill for the mission of Sun King to provide clean, affordable and reliable sources of energy in their areas.
Training of Energy Officers: Provide training to the Energy Officers on several aspects of the business such as sales, collections, product, technical, inventory and logistics related. Ensure that they are fully supported and lead in the best professional manner demonstrating the highest levels of integrity, ethics and professionalism while dealing with customers.
Provide role clarity to Energy Officers: Provide complete clarity to Energy Officers related to their day to day tasks, sales & collections plans, routes and targets. This includes, ensuring Energy Officers have a pre-agreed sales route/area to sell in, they understand how to demonstrate and sell Sun King products, they have the confidence to be able to present and resolve basic customer queries on the spot and they have access to Area Business Manager at all times in case of questions and concerns.
Daily field visits: Have a weekly touchpoint with every Energy Officer in your area – either through in-person meetings, making a sale to the customer in your area or having a call. Resolve all possible issues faced by the Energy Officers and report them to your Regional Business Manager, every week. Ensure that the first 5 sales of each Energy Officer are done along with the Area Business Manager in the area, by each Energy Officer to ensure that the core sales and collection process is fully understood by each Energy Officer.
Work with Energy Officers: Conduct joint fieldwork with a group of Energy Officers to provide sales and collection training on a weekly basis and drive EO engagement. This includes doing night activations, market activations, visiting local communities and gatherings such as SACCOs, Self Help groups, retail centres and markets to make group sales.
Exceed your sales & collections targets: Meet or exceed sales and collection targets established and agreed on 2nd of every month by your Regional Business Manager. Provide daily, weekly updates on sales, EO recruitments, Customer issues and resolutions, as desired and agreed with your Regional Business Manager.
Drive robust field sales processes: Review collection progress with your Energy Officers daily and provide adequate training to them on driving better collections in your areas. This includes customer and area profiling, ensuring regular and timely collection follow-ups, resolving customer issues to ensure they make payments and ultimately repossessing the systems as a last recourse in case the customer defaults.
Remain externally focused: Keep an eye on competition within your area and ensure you take adequate measures to protect and grow our business from competitive pressures. Proactively inform your leadership team and take measures to ensure Sun King remains a paramount brand name in Solar products for your area.
Resolve customer issues: Provide world-class support to your customers as it relates to product delivery, training on how to use and make payments, installation, and after-sales warranty issues. Ensure that you work with your Energy Officers to establish clear expectations and processes to resolve all customer issues within 24 hours.
Control Marketing & Other Support spend: Provide adequate marketing support & equipment (such as smartphones) necessary to all your Energy Officers. Ensure we get maximum return on investment for all the costs we incur in areas of marketing, supply chain, store maintenance and smartphone issuance.
Review meetings with Energy Officers: Conduct weekly table meetings with Energy Officers and ensure that you have RBM present in those meetings to resolve any outstanding customers or EO issues. Coordinate, plan and organize the meeting to have maximum attendance and progress. Recognize outstanding performers from time to time and ensure the motivation of Energy Officers is maintained at an all-time high.
Grow Retail presence: Ensure the retail network in your Area grows with the help of an Area Retail Coordinator, hired under you. Ensure all retail-related activities are followed per process and the base of high-selling retailers grows exponentially within your area of operation.

We are pleased to inform the general public and all photographers that Allard Prize Photography Competition (CAD $1,000 prize) for 2022. The bi-annual Photography Competition acknowledges photographic excellence reflecting the beliefs of the Allard Prize. It is a contest for enthusiastic candidates about their photography skills and working on their attractive portfolios.

The bi-annual Allard Photography Competition, which recognizes photographic excellence reflecting the ideals of the Allard Prize, is adjudicated by the Allard Prize Committee and Maxe Fisher, Associate Professor, Faculty of Design + Dynamic Media, Emily Carr University of Art + Design.

Each winner/ winning photograph will receive CAD $100,000 and is featured on the Allard Prize website, with a brief description of the photographer’s name for six months. The Bi-Annual Allard Photography Competition recognizes excellent reflecting ideals of the Allard Prize, as adjudicated by the Allard prize committee and Max Fisher.

How to Apply

To apply to Fulbright program you need to assemble a variety of materials to help the USEFP assess your qualifications. All materials must be submitted with your application. There is no application fee for the Fulbright program. Remember, every applications must be submitted online.

Take GRE General Test and TOFEL:

When submitting your application, you may report the unofficial GRE score given on the day of the test, or your official score if you have received it
Every applicant must request that ETS send an official score report directly to USEFP using the code 9388.
GRE general (international) test scores are required at the time of application. A decent score for Engineering and Sciences on the GRE is 315+ and that for other fields is 310+. GRE subject test is not required.
Although generally, accepted applicants have a GRE score in the upper percentiles, the minimum GRE score required to apply for the Fulbright is 138 for verbal and 136 for quantitative. If you take the GRE test multiple times, you may report your best score, and Fulbright will only look at that score.
TOEFL is NOT required at the time of the application submissions. You will have to take the TOEFL exam if you are called for an interview. IELTS is not acceptable.
