TV/Movies / Re: Project Fame West Africa: Iyanya Wins by tolala(m): 8:31am On Dec 26, 2008 |
where was i when all these was going on, i was busy celebrating my nyanya.truly i think i lost a little bit respect for tosin here for thiking nii was the best, thought u were very intelligient-no offence though i just expected more from you.nii is a nasal singer and almost all the songs he sang are very irritating.i was pissed that he won praise and anneth are way better than him. the day he did speechless i was very angry as that song is one of my all time favourites and for him to have done it like that, it ws very sad.had the same feeling when i heard worlds greatest.for me he is just a good entertainer.same reason why i wonder why most time why people love dbanj so much. talking from a musical point of view from someone who has been listening to music all his life and cant stand a minute without listening to a good one .the first position was definately nyanya, second is btw annet and praise both f whom have what it takes to come first but for certain qualities that nyanya has over them.nii has notting doing in First four in my opinion |

ok i think right now i have to say 2 baba deserves an appology from me.as after sending my previous coment i stepped outside to get my cloth from my tailor and he was getting high on 2 babas album.tried listening to a couple of tracks and i felt like a fool becos i fell in love with close to four tracks that i heard immediately.and about the r kelly thingy am sorry again cos had it been i was patient enough before comenting i would have seen 2 face featuring r kelly and one other guy.pips for real 2 face is unstoppable and it would be unfair for any one to just coment foolishly just like i did earlier.for me,comparing originality with unstoppable is not fair and if ANYBODY THINKS ORIGINALITY IS BETTER IT ONLY MEANS YOU DIDNT LISTEN TO UNSTOPPABLE .SIMPLE.RIDE ON BABA I DEY FEEL U DIE AND I AM GETTING THE ALBUM RIGHT AWAY |
Music/Radio / Re: Faze's Originality And Tuface's Ustoppable, Reviews And Comments by tolala(m): 3:39pm On Dec 23, 2008 |
to me both guys are messed up.why did i say that?listen to face's album and after originality u will sleep.and for tuface i dont know if you guys have good ears like i do but i can swear on my life that R kelly wasnt the one that sang the last verse all he did was sing hook, who knows whether it was one of kels confidant that stole the song and sold it to 2 baba or why would u call something a collabo and all u sang was the hook.am thinking probably somebody somewhere has got some explaining to do.have not listened to 2 faces album but am sure if there is any extra ordinary song on it,i would have heard it just like i couldnt run away from gongo aso.time will tell though.infact am going to start a topic on this issue |

Music/Radio / Soul E Baba Where At Thou by tolala(m): 11:41am On Dec 23, 2008 |
its crazy how people just rise and fall to never rise again, ever since u ate queen ure's 'efo soko' you simply disappeared from the scene.your last major hit with tu face which made a lot of people feel you are the next big thing way before 9ice became a commercial hit.its such a pity and am dedicating this song to you.gone too soon by babyface like a comet blazing across the evening sky, gone too soon like a perfect light just beyond your reach, gone too soon like a loss of sunlight on a couldy afternoon like a castle built on a sandy beach shining and sparkling and spendidly bright here one day gone one night |

Music/Radio / Mtvbase Zain Advance Warning And Its Inzane Results by tolala(m): 7:28pm On Nov 05, 2008 |
was shocked there is no topic on the ongoing mtvbase/zain advance warning, well am sure most of yall are just hearing it for the first time cos the show wasnt properly publicised.26 nigerian artist hoping to win 5 million naira and a video shot by mtv base.with artists like g.t the guitarman, durella,o.d,zdon, terry da rapman, terry g,amaka,kani,blaize,kel,w4,nikky laoye, babara, cyrus d virus and others the show started some months back and its been very enertaining the only problem i have is the results which i just saw on their website www.mtvbase.com/advancewarning . and hey i was shocked!!!here is the result, pls tell me what you think o.d vs durella = durella won w4 vs gi joe= gi joe won terry da rap man vs soty=soty won waje vs pype= waje won kel vs terry g=terry g big weez vs g.t the guitarman=big weez won dee vs f shaw=dee won nikky laoye vs kaha=kaha won amaka vs kani Though winners are supposed to be selected by viewers i just cant help but think, is this the voice of nigerians?!!! its very sad cos take w4 vs gi joe for example how can gi joe win w4 its mad mehn!!!,kel vs terry g,terry the rapman soty, the one that pained me most is big weez vs g.t the guitarman, i dont even know who the Bleep big weez is,i saw the show and damn, i better not talk, Would like to advice these companies who sponsor shows like this that they are doing a great job but their money would have worked better if they invested it into worthy courses like putting a proper structure in place for the artist first before they say they want to bring them out, its like buying someone a car with no wheels and engine, take timi of idols for example where is he now, think have deviated a little ?this should av been for another post but its all good what do u think? |
Music/Radio / Re: Nigerian Artist Capable Of Winning Grammy? by tolala(m): 5:17am On Oct 24, 2008 |
can kanye west, eminem, and all this yankee acts win a kora award, gbedu award, hiphopworld award, amen, ? impossible. let them do their thing and lets do ours,if they find us interesting enough just as we find ourselves they will come to our level which obviously is higher than theirs.and when i said levels am not talking about 2 face, dbanj, am talking of musicians like sunny ades, felas, sunny nneji, lately asa, list goes on.waiting for that day when they yankee artists will be dreaming of wining our awards its all about packaging, thats all!!! they make us feel they are better than us which is a lie,all they did was bring out their strenghts and buga us with it.and we foolishly left our strenght just as we are doing now and are chasing our weakness. note* am not a racist, just keeping it real |

what you guys dont know is that Africa is a big market for all,and for beyonce to break into the market she needs pips like tuface.lets face it 2face is more popular in africa than most international acts.so?they need him.fine they are popular here too but they dont know that, thats why they are always scared of coming here, until lately |
Music/Radio / Re: Nigerian Artistes And Poor Live Performances by tolala(m): 1:15pm On Sep 30, 2006 |
my close friend is one of these big stars, dont ask who cause i wont tell you.one thing he always complains of is our sound.i personally think if its about talents we could stand the best in the world.he always talks about sound engineers, one blank space i ve seen,is in our sound engineering.most people that claim to be sound engineers aint, all they do is just plug the mics.singing on stage should be with the same ease as when am singing in front of you,if you grab mics in nija shows it is not the same effects, you will need to shout many times as loud to burst on our stages, and thats not good for your voice.hence,TO GET GOOD SOUNDS WE HAVE TO TRAIN MORE PEOPLE IN THE SOUND ENGINEERING FEILD. |
