@jet2biz

Apologies I did not see your PM, I only received a generic msg. My DW is staying with an Aunt although she has apartments(rooms) she rents out not too far from WHMC. I will pass on her details anytime I see your PM.

Have a blessed day.

Chijiuche:

I hope the Lyrics of the Song Below will encourage you; please take heart.

"If He Did It Before (Same God)"

Hey, if he did it before, he can do it again
Hey, if he did it before, he can do it again
1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, go

I won't give in, no I'm not gonna turn around, yeah
I know I'll win, if I don't give up now
I am waiting for my change to come in I know
He will come through, this is how I'm so sure

If he did it before, he'd do it again
Same god right now, same god back then
If he did it before, he'd do it again
Same god right now, same god back then

(I've got power) I've got power, I know I will overcome
Greater is in me, the fight ain't fair cause I've already won
And yes I may fall, may get knocked down to the ground
I know I'll rise up, this is how I'm so sure

If he did it before, he'd do it again
Same god right now, same god back then
If he did it before, he'd do it again, yeah
Same god right now, same god back then

Please be, encouraged, this is not the first storm you've been through
You've been through worse, you didn't come this far just to lose
He knows your needs, so take no thoughts on what you lost
God will restore, and this is how I'm sure

If he did it before, he can do it again
Same god right now, same god back then
If he did it before, he can do it again
Same god right now, same god back then.

He is same God right now
He is, He is same God right now
He is, same God right now

Same God right now
Same God back then
If He did it before,
He can do it again

Congrats @Toludo

I keyed into your prayer with a resounding "Amen" as my long awaiting baby in my womb just stopped growing and I am scheduled for evacuation tomorrow. I have cried and questioned God but I have learned to understand that even how the conception became possible in the first place is a miracle. My faith is that God who made it possible for others including your wife will answer us again and this time it will be permanent.

Congrats once more grin.

The much awaited Testimony arrived few hours ago to the Glory of Almighty God. DW & LO are doing fine.

Breakdown Below (Bills so Far):
Hospital (WHMC) $3,000 VD, Dr. La $2,500, Initial Visit $145, Ultrasound Anatomy $250, 3rd Trimester Hiv $50, Pap Smear $225, Group B Strep $50, Another Test $80 (replacement for Glucose Tolerance Challenge which was done in 9ja).
The following Tests were done in 9ja: Rubella, Blood Group & RH type, Hepatitis B with Surface Antigen, VDRL/syphilis, genotype & Glucose Tolerance Challenge.

Special Thanks to God for his grace and mercies and for every contributor to this thread, I say Thank You. Everything was a Breeze, from Visa Interview to getting PTA & entering Houston POE without any question asked (Not even why are you in the US?) and to the arrival of our March 1st Baby.

Let me also add a word of encouragement for folks who have experienced loss in whatever form, I decree in the name of Jesus, You will recover all. DW had a MC sometimes last year and it was a very agonizing period for us, fast-forward to 2016, we are testifying to the gracious mercies of the Lord and his wondrous works.

To all expectant Fathers and Mothers, Na so so good news we go dey hear by the grace of God.
My God is a good God, Yes he is smiley

Congratulations

What was her response when asked "Why are you visiting the US"? Are you saying they did not notice she was pregnant?

Plus tell her to check her passport well. I have never heard one is stamped with no time frame. I stand corrected.

I was initially puzzled as to how she wasn't questioned at all, The funniest part was that she was not even asked why are you visiting the US? It could be that the CBP already knew she got the Visa on medical grounds, that could also be a probability. She already lost a lost of weight due to the Hyperemesis Gravidarum, so the Jacket could have made the preggy obscure.

I guess some protocols and standing order (No secondary Inspection, No time frame and questions asked) were dismantled for her sake, It could be as a result of the fervent prayer of the righteous availing much, I can't tell but God knows best.

When I was eager to come and share Dw Poe transcript, apparently there is nothing to share.

Dw entered through Houston Poe, she said the CBP did not ask her any question so after probing further she told me she was putting on a Jacket and the CBP probably did not even notice she was preggy. Also she was not sent in for Secondary Inspection, so her bags were not checked. So it was a walk in the park through the fearsome houston poe.

She was stamped in with no time frame (I guess she is eligible for the usual 6 months).

This is superstory! (LOL)

Thanks to everyone on the forum who have been contributing, asking both Logical and trivial questions. We dey learn from both sides of the divide. I can say without any shadow of doubt that this forum has been a blessing. My Dw is houston bound (Dr La/WHMC) tonight after 7 months of battling severe Hyperemesis Gravidarum(Lol) No be small something o, but we thank the Lord. She was hospitalized for the greater part of the 7 months but this week God himself came down to heal her completely. Thankfully we were able to get PTA last week through a family friend.

I say make I give my vote of thanks now or never.

One Love!

[quote author=PacoChi post=41982231]Thanks LI.... Really appreciate. About my uncle.... Through a visa lottery back in the 90's, he's lived 20yrs+ there and works with US Customs and Border Protection. I'm actually supposed to be staying with him, that's why I asked. Thanks alot [/quote

Am not sure the letter of invitation counts against you, we submitted a letter of invitation from a Family Friend when we had our Interview last month and the Visa was approved, am sure that might even be a positive as that means reduced cost on your budget sheet.

Hi wonderful people, I will like to know if anyone that has used WHMC (Or any other hospital) in the past made their payments using GTBank's Form A and if the transfer was done at the Official Exchange rate, I am presently considering this option ATM due to unavailability of PTA as my DW is scheduled to travel in about 2 weeks from now. Also, If anyone has any news on where we can get the much sought after PTA that will be very much appreciated, as it is now getting $$ from the Black Market is a No-No.

I will be awaiting your feedbacks smiley.

Thank You

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Mistakes Dat I've Made In Job Interviews That You Should Avoid At All Costs by Toludo(m): 6:38pm On Oct 05, 2014
My experiences which I will like to share, in Jan 2013, during the final stage of my interview with HMRC, I forgot to put my phone on silent and the vibration from my phone derailed the interview, and I was later told I was unsuccessful as I missed the cut off point by 1 Mark, I knew from within that it was a consequence of my phone ringing.

In June 2014, I was being interviewed for a KYC Analyst role with Barclays Bank, the interviewer asked me if I had any questions and I asked her if they will be providing training before getting my hands dirty with loads of work, that was a very silly question to have asked as the role was paying £280 a day and they expected that we would be hitting the ground running. I was later phoned by the agency that I was unsuccessful and I knew it was a consequence of the question I asked.

Politics / Daystar "walk For Light" Initiative Today In Lagos. by Toludo(m): 7:38pm On Oct 19, 2009
Over 7,000 members of Daystar Christian Centre, marched to the Lagos State governor’s office this morning protesting epileptic power supply in the country.

The peaceful protest was led by the Senior Pastor of the church, Rev. Sam Adeyemi, accompanied by the executive director of The Punch Newspapers, Mr. Azubuike Ishiekwene and Pastor Nike Adeyemi, wife of the Daystar pastor.

The protesters marched from the church’s headquarters, Ikosi Road, through Oregun Road to Obafemi Awolowo Way down to the Lagos State Governor’s Office at Alausa.

The protesters, wore white and green T-shirts with the inscription, Let There Be Light at the front and Walk For Light at the back. Drumming and singing, the protesters called on the Federal Government to make the power sector stable, so that generator merchants do not suck Nigerians dry while smiling to the bank.

There was a mild traffic gridlock as the protesters marched through Ikosi and Awolowo Way.

According to Pastor Adeyemi, the walk against epileptic power supply is the first in the series of advocacy activities aimed at restoring the nation to the path of dignity.

“The walk for light event is aimed at creating a platform for Nigerians to demand sustainable solution to our lingering electricity problems. “Nigeria’s 49th Independence anniversary provided an opportunity to conduct a critical check on our nation with a view to speaking out on what has become a life-threatening sore point in our national life,” he said.

Adeyemi called on the FG to break the monopoly of PHCN and allow private investors and state governments to generate and distribute electricity, adding that the strategy that worked for telecommunications should be made to work for power supply.

He stated that if there was no limit to the number of pole lines a telecommunication company should generate, there should be no limit to the volume of power a company should generate and distribute in the country.

“We are calling on importers of generating sets and diesel, who have graciously helped to provide relief through their products, to support this call and to subsequently divert their investment into power generation and distribution.

“We are also calling on the executive and legislative arms of government at local, state and federal levels to show compassion for Nigeria, demonstrate leadership quality and facilitate the breaking up of the PHCN monopoly.

“We are calling on all Nigerians involved in the generation, distribution and consumption of electricity to accept honesty as a national standard and as a way of life, and so stop all forms of deep-cutting in the award and execution of contracts,” he stated.

Investment / Re: How Has The Stock Market Decline Affected You As A Person? by Toludo(m): 8:18pm On Sep 21, 2009
I lost about 20million naira to the stock market crash and its affected me a whole lot.I believe in the maxim that when there is life there is hope. Life is all about ups and down and i believe the market will definitely rebound one day. The truth is we should be expecting a full recovery by year 2011, the Nigerian stock market was subjected to alot of price manipulations, irregularities and poor corporate governance. The D.G of N.S.E has failed nigerians and i believe the most honourable thiing is for her to resign.
