I think that is a Misconception. What do you consider begging to be

You should appreciate the socio cultural and economic dynamics are very different in the context of football in England and the Europe.

For many not all but a good number of our footballers it's a question of literally life and death. There is no other alternative to making it to in life, than to make it in Football.

Even the concept of "JAKPA" . Further highlights the phenomenon, university of graduates are wilfully lined up on the shores of Libya to play lottery with their lives on the perilous Mediterranean sea to get to Europe

An English Nigerian origin football player already doing well and on track in a good football academy in England , does not need the Nigerian national team to progress his career. That not withstanding many have a clear cut indentity and affinity with Nigeria. And want to play for Nigeria. Sometimes the conduct of the NFF officials has not been helpful.

On the other hand the players in Nigeria use the SE including the youth system predominantly to progress their careers to Europe. As a consequence , they are very desperate and they are willing to ABSOLUTELY do anything that NFF officials tell them to do. That will include slave contracts with the NFF officials preferred agents. From here Godfatherism was birthed in the NFF and has become a full grown adult.

I will ask you one question, do you honestly believe in it takes three years to make a change of allegiance with FIFA from England to Nigeria. Every other change of Allegiance has taken max 4 weeks, Zaha and Caulker come to mind players who already had senior England caps.

I can speculate in the negative because there is nothing positive about it.

Finally, hypothetically speaking , if our U17 players came to England and played a game and afterward were offered lucrative contracts at Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, etc But with the proviso that they must change allegiance to England, how many do you think will say No❓

Oh I should add Amaju does not your Europe to beg players, there are a lot more things he does that have nothing to do with football. I can assure you.
I don’t know how long it takes to switch allegiances from one country to the other, what I’m saying here is that I don’t like the way Pinnick goes about it.

Let the guys that are passionate about playing for us be given an opportunity , then leave the ones using the whole country to catch cruise.

There are more talented footballers in Nigeria than the whole of England, If the federation can invest in the league and harness its potentials, we won’t be begging any mediocre players to come play for us.

Super eagles is a big brand. If things are done right, all these boys will be the ones clamoring to put on the GWG.

Nwakali is a Nigerian and deserved preferential treatment just like the English give their home grown players preference. If you place Nwakali and Iwobi in England for selection , no matter how talented Nwakali is as long as he is not English he will never be considered.

In the U.S. if you are born in a place not a province of U.S you will never become President be you white or black. Its very annoying how we scramble for English leftovers and worship players the English considered inferior. If I have my way we will only take foreign players playing in the top 5 League in Europe. The English doesn't have better talent pool than us.

This disgraceful inferior mindset is why we hired a crappy coach and people were drinking his pee on this thread because he is White man and Africans are so senseless they thought whites were gods.

Now , we have a Nigerian coach who slavish negroes on this thread condemned before he resumed his work but look what has happened!!

Nwakali:he captained the the team to world glory and brought joy and happiness to our soul. Won the MVP and brought the cup home. Thats a hero , init ?

You need to tone it down with your disgust for foreign born players, For someone like you who lives abroad, you keep contradicting yourself, imagine tomorrow, your own child is denied an opportunity here in Nigeria for being born abroad, how would you feel?

I hate Amaju touring Europe, begging some mediocre players to come play for us, but the ones with quality & passion should always be allowed to represent us whenever there’s an opportunity.

Minus Akpoguma, none of the foreign born players in this present team toyed with our emotions, they all came when they were invited.

You need to cut these guys some slacks, none of them choose their birth place, otherwise, don’t cry foul when such treatments is melted out to your offspring in the nearest future.

I don't need multiple games to ascertain a player's competence.
On Osimhen's AFCON debut even with the cameo appearance, a lot can be deduced from his style of play and the promise it held.

I believe in growth, but Taiwo is yet to become the player Osimhen is.

I was more impressed with Sadiq than i was with Taiwo.

Your reason is shady

A list that omitted players like Akpo, Ebuehi and Bassey for Olise, Omeruo,Collins and shehu is not lopsided to U? And also include Nwakali with no goal or assist this season

Sometimes the fact that you can't speak the truth does not mean u should berate others who dare speak the truth
As long as the Coach have not grant a press conference to explain the rationale behind those call ups the list still not acceptable to many fans

Your last paragraph shows you have a problem with the way you decode my write ups...
You really need to meet me in real life to know that what I put up here ends here and barely taken to heart or seriously.

I know you are passionate about the team and wants them to perform very well, but sometimes, things don’t always work the way we want them. The guys you mentioned has been with the team for a longtime and hardly gets to play.

They are not the fulcrum of the team and look at you mentioning Bassey, a guy that has not been tested on the international scene, this is just his breakaway season.

It’s a national team, you just don’t overhaul like that, you integrate players gradually, blame Rohr for Ebuehi,Kevin and Dessers predicaments. Austin has nothing to do with it.

Because he is our 'brother' makes him less of a fraud, so you would torelate incompetence from him that you wouldn't torelate from any other coach because he comes from the same place as you? This Eguavoen appointment has exposed many of you grin grin grin
How’s he a fraud? The man only invited two new players to the team, the bulk of the team is made up of players whom have been playing together for the last five years.

You want him to make changes when we have less than two weeks to a tournament? The time frame is too short for a major team overhaul, cut him some slack.

His team is yet a kick a ball, and here you guys are berating him already.

Just pray this Equeavon does not flop
Because with this tactics you guys are using to defend his lopsided list

A man that spend minutes talk on how the 1994 team plays instead of revealing his own team tactics and approach to games but instead all he was dishing out was westerwolf tactics and team play.

I am not worried..been that after afcon he will be replaced and when Pinnick leaves him and Aigbogun will leave with him

Some of this Indigenous Coaches always proves the fraud and corrupt nature that have limited their progress all this while

Right in Leicester you will see the Kolou Toure cutting it in coaching same with Yaya Toure in Russia and Frimpong in Switzerland and many other Africa countries ex players but for our ex internationals nothing of such to be attached to them....all they talk when opportune reveal team tactics is to reveal how the 1994 team plays as if the 1994 team won a world cup or even got to the semi finals of the mundial

Keep raising the embers of mediocrity will remind u when the Coach You're busy defending shows how inept he is
You are beginning to sound like a broken record, what’s lopsided about the team list? That your favorite players like Dessers, kelvin and Ebuehi didn’t make the team list, is that why the list is lopsided?

Rohr that invited these guys never gave any of them a chance to showcase what they can do, now you are referring to coach that has less that 2 weeks to prepare for a major tournament as a fraud.

I told you before, you need to get a firm grip of your emotions, you are a man for crying out loud.

I believe his time is up .

After 6 seasons of anonymity despite all these opportunity to show his talent he has not been able to RISE. He is 23 whether his age is true or not , he has had ample opportunity to prove himself but he has failed.

The naked hypocrisy , bigoted double standard that is expressed here in relation to Nwakali is without measure.

You would think he is the only Nigerian Midfielder playing football for goodness sake.

Meanwhile if I mention any player in the Championship many will say the level is too low. Segunda Division is very poor on all levels comparatively be speaking.

Imagine he is the lowest paid player in Huesca does that not say something about how much they value him as a player.

There are league two clubs that pay much more in England.
This tournament might be a turning point in his career, you never can tell. Hopefully, he turns out good for the team

If nothing happened when he rejected us, why is everyone wailing now that’s he was dropped from the team?

Come on guys, it’s not the end of the world, more matches will be played next year and I bet he will be part of the team, The only person I miss is Ebuehi

Easy for you blame the sport minister with the so many incompetence comiñg from pinnick led management you will never blame him instead you can quote others to absolve him of blame...

Brother of a truth, Pinnick is to be blame for the delay so far, if i was the sport minister will get more involve more than what Dare is doing because Pinnick doesn't look like someone who knows what he is important, have priorities or what he is supposed to do at this hour.

If he has show capabilities I am sure no one will love interfere in the team preparation

Few days to a tournament all he is busy with is appointing a fo reign coach for the super eagles when you have Austin a member of the Technical committee who have been there with some coaches managing the team

By now all hands and preparation should be in place for the super eagles to have befitting afcon and not distract the coaching crew and team with news of appointing a foreign coach. Let the coaching crew get to work immediately after the afcon we shift focus to appointing a foreign coach if need be.
You really need to get a grip of your emotions, you keep making this false assertion in here daily about “southerners being bad managers of football in this country “

It reeks of stupidity for you to keep saying these at all times. The mere fact that Pinnick is not doing things the way you want does not warrant you to keep tagging everyone as never do well.

Every good thing in this country was laid down by southerners, stop disgracing yourself.

Keshi comment about IK Uche in 2014

https://www.thecable.ng/keshi-impossible-for-me-to-beg-ik-uche-to-play-for-nigeria

I don’t think Keshi was clean with his players selections, but Ik uche really frustrated Keshi with his antics and unwillingness to play to instructions. If you watched the afcon finals against the burkinabes, you will see keshi reeling with frustration at the side line, complaining about uche. At a time, echiejile fuming with anger, asked Uche to help track back and defend, Uche made a sign at him with his hand signaling him to shut up that he talks too much.
