Culture / Re: The Mystery Behind The Birth Of The Oba Of Benin by Trudprism: 6:46pm On Apr 21, 2013
mmmustapha: grin grin grin The transformation of a heir apparent (Edaiken)
to that of a king (Oba) was concretised and
solemnised. The whole city and environs in an
ecstasy, resonated with the sound of 'Oba ghato'
okpere'. The heavens, the ancestors and the gods
re-echoed with the sound of 'Ise'. A peep at the
sky exposed the sun and the moon in an eclipse
as a mark of heavenly acknowledgement, beautiful lie.

I was there and I saw it....you doubting Thomas.

Politics / Re: God Told Jonathan To Pardon Alamieyeseigha – Arthur Eze by Trudprism: 8:05am On Mar 20, 2013
Chai! God don suffer! The problem is not GEJ. Nigerians are already immuned to shock and they have resigned themselves to faith so, anything indefensible definitly finds followers in great quantity here in Nigeria. A friend of mine once told me that GEJ is not "Mr Retardeen". I completely agree with him. Infact, he is a very intelligent man and why? GEJ has been intelligent enough to know that in Nigeria, anything goes because of the moral standard Nigeria has come to represent. In a country with a modicum of good moral standard, people like Author Eze should be languishing in jail with all his properties confiscated for tax evasion and "Extraordinary money management". People make reference to the pardons granted Obasanjo, Obafemi Awolowo, Odumegwu Ojukwu etc but they forgot that they were involved in political crimes. They happened to be on the wrong side at that time. This man Alams confessed to fleezing his people and was sentenced accordingly. The magnitude of the fleezing was mind buggling. Yes the constitution grants presidents the power to grant pardon but the American presidents knew doing that to the wrong person amounts to political suicide and that is why they did the pardoning while leaving office.

Politics / Re: Rapists To Face Life Imprisonment Under New Law – Reps by Trudprism: 2:09pm On Feb 08, 2013
Another tool for extortion if not properly managed. With the level of our criminal justice system where even the law enforcement agents can disturt facts with a little inducement, men are in for a hard time. Ladies, it is time to get back at those men who won't pay up.

Politics / Re: PDP Or MEGA Party: Which One Will You Go For? With Reason by Trudprism: 4:02pm On Feb 06, 2013
I do not support a party. I support people. People change things and not party. When the time comes, I will look at the candidates and go for the one that has what it takes to turn around our circumstances.
Foreign Affairs / Re: 18 Nigerians To Be Executed In Indonesia Today (monday, 04, 2013) by Trudprism: 2:43pm On Feb 04, 2013
I do not have sympathy for criminals. They knew indulgence in such action carries the death penalty over there. Why dare their resolve? There is not Niegria where anything goes. Those are serious people and the law is the law and it is no respecter of person. I wish the law is the law here in Naija.

Good riddance to bad rubbish of abandoned vehicles on our roads. God knows how many innocent souls lost their lives to these death traps. Another excellent action by the people's governor.

Politics / Re: Pictures Of Illegal Oil Refineries In Bayelsa by Trudprism: 7:06am On Jan 18, 2013
The greatest problem here is the pollution that results when the refiners break pipelines or vandalize well heads to get the oil to refine. These pipe lines and wellheads are usually abandoned by the operators for fear of their lives. They do not have what it takes to plug back the leaks and what results is the magnitude of pollution you see in the Niger Delta. This is more than serious.
Travel / Re: French Embassy In Lagos Sells Visas To The Highest Bidders? by Trudprism: 3:35am On Jan 16, 2013
This is just a true story. It happened to me. They accepted my application and told me when to come for the visa only to tell me when I went to collect the visa that there were some missing information. Sound funny isn't it?
