The road to becoming an atheist is usually a long process, you don't just wake one morning and decide to abandon the ideas and teachings you've known all your life.
One doesn't have to be influenced, it starts with seeing the contradictions and atrocities in the bible,witnessing the hypocrisy of supposed christians and men of god and maybe testing the ridiculous bible stories with what science has taught you. . . Influence isn't necessary to disbelieve santa clause or fairies as you just grow older you want more facts and see the ridiculosness of the whole thing
For you to be an atheist,you've got to make a conscious effort to think for yourself coz the society won't be kind to you. Thats why most people become atheists in their late teens when their independent reasoning capacity is much developed.
