Yea.. And if you read my post very carefully, you will see it accounted for possible scenario cancellation can occur and in majority of the cases we have seen it is usually when there is a change of government such as in 2015.

But for a recruitment that is not under the threat of change of administration, why would anybody stress themselves about cancelling it when they can simply do it the way they like to appease all party. Also look at the cost aspect.

Even the immigration and DSS that were cancelled in 2015, was later revisited but there was a lot of substitution of names. I knew a guy who got the immigration job just before GEJ left office, he resigned from his banking job and boom PMB came in and cancelled it. Later in 2016 or 2017, we had they were recalled but omo, my guy no follow o, cause then he got the job through the SSG when PDP was in power.

So in essence, what am saying is that cancellation would not favour even the top politicians, the highest they would say is the process has been suspended and boom after some times you see a list from no where carrying names of people who may not even have participated in the process in the first instance.

On what ground if I may ask? Recruitment are not just cancelled like that unless due process are not followed and it mostly happen when a new administration step in, and politics is usually the main causal factor. That is why any recruitment done close to expiration of tenures is always shaky and poses high risk of cancellation when the new administration comes in.
Any talk about any top politician not being carried along is not enough reason to cancel a process that was advertised, aptitude test and interview held as required by due process. In the end, all that could happen is that the recruitment may become protracted leading to little space for merit as the management strife to satisfy all parties. We have seen that in some federal recruitment such as DPR and co which took over a year to complete. So it will not surprise me if NNPC followed similar path.

Fellow APL hopefuls,
having tried so hard to focus on my current job while waiting like d rest of us, I had to place a call to a relative (who by the way is about to made a GM or something like that)..After the usual pleasantries of a nephew calling an uncle, he was genuinely surprised that I was involved in d current recruitment.he asked why I have never mentioned it(cos we have met a few times after my interview) I laughed over it.. (main reason for not telling him is cos this uncle of mine is a stickler for merit and due process as in old school imperial college graduate)
Anyways, from the conversation, I observed he knew more than he divulged(wasnt surprised cos that is him) but bottom line,i got 4 points crystal clear..
1. The recruitment process even though it ran into bottlenecks vis a vis interference from some powers wasn't CANCELLED..infact let me quote him, "the amount of time and money that was invested in the process defeated all arguments from certain quarters for it's cancellation"

2. Yes,there were interferences at d end of the day but to his knowledge, it was very minimal.less than 5percent of total names.in his words, this is d most transparent recruitment process he has seen in his 27years in the system

3. GT list is actually ready but EH isn't entirely ready..According to him, they are still matching them to d different subsidiaries..i asked him how can that be cos I believed every EH from his resume and experience already applied to d positions best suited as advertised which should make placement easy. (eg, my work experience can only fit into NPDC) and his reply..that some subsidiaries may need 3 accountants whereas some may need 10 and most importantly,that some "interferences" also came with a subsidiary of choice.. (meaning some powers came with candidates and also demanded the subsidiary they should b posted to) hence some minor reshuffling

4..Lastly, that APL will come soon.i asked him how soon.. He said he couldn't place a date but it won't pass this last quarter 2019..i probed more and he gave a solid reason for his timeframe.The proforma invoices for the external (non Nnpc) SMEs (subject matter experts) that will be part of the GT training in edjeba has already been approved and the persons have already been notified as to their time schedules which includes this year. I argued dat the budget approved for the proforma invoices could be moved to budget accruals so that the system doesn't retrieve it/and it doesn't affect d next year's budget.. When I said this, he laughed and is like everyone involved in d budget for this recruitment is fighting tooth and nail for it to be concluded this year such that certain inflated figures won't be discovered..
He wished me luck and yabbed me to at least remember to call him if I was shortlisted..

It funny how people come here to spread cancellation rumors. If I may ask on what ground would the recruitment be canceled? Was it that well organized aptitude test and interview that any one would come out to say was marred with irregularities? At least more than 90 percent of all interviewees commended the process.

Even police constable recruitment that has generated heated battle between PSC and NPF has not been cancelled talkless of this one that witness no hiccup despite the change of leadership. The nddc employment that was put on hold was for obvious reasons because it didn't follow due process. I stand very bold to say that everyone invited for the interview did exceedingly well in their aptitude test and the new GMD cannot complain about anything because he will take the final decision on who to be employed or not, so why the bickering about cancellation.

Let me tell you guys that the only reasons any Federal recruitment would be canceled is if there are enough reason to believe that due process was not followed and it usually happens when a new government takes over because of politics and that is why recruitment done close to expiration of tenures are always dangerous such as the 2014 NNPC, immigration, and DSS.

So because there is a delay in this one shouldn't make any one come hear to spread the cancellation lies, after all we have seen DPR and others take more than a year to complete. I don't even think the present GMD has the unilateral power to cancel this recruitment. To do so, he must have solid evidence of non compliance to due process and even convince the presidency after so much have been spent on it.

The only thing any one could have said which is believable is that the longer the recruitment takes, the more merit list may diminish. I know every one is anxious because of how fast the aptitude test and interview went, so we expected that by now result should be out and since it is not, some of us are preying on that to bring cancellation rumors claiming it from reliable source.

Abi o. My brother it all a form of scam to try to get people in a panick mood and hence try to contact him for possible connect. If not why does he keep repeating it every now and then? I think the best thing is for us to avoid quoting him, maybe he derive joy from the backlash he gets.

I will like to employ everyone of us to please remain focus in the pursuit of other opportunities while we retain hope of a favorable conclusion to this recruitment in earnest. That way we can avoid any shock from the outcome of the process.

It is disheartening to see posts in here from some of us indicating that we are becoming lethargic in the pursuit of other opportunities, and even in our current workplace due to high expectation on the outcome of this recruitment. Let not forget this is a government recruitment which isn't immune to corruption and nepotism. For those that are delaying making some decision as a result of the wait for the outcome of this process, please be guided and ensure the best decision is taking, remember a bird in hand is better than thousands in the bush.

So @ Mr jarus position is completely understandable.

I bet you might have also done it before at some point in time when some one might ask you for something and you would try to let him or her know that while you poses what he or she requested, you are unable to oblige to his or her request for certain reason but at the time you try to reassure him or that there is nothing to be worried about. That also is quite understandable.

For example while I was in school I had someone I knew very well who was the examiner of my department, and each time i tried to enquire about my result before it was released, he would only check and tell me there is nothing to worry about and that I did well. I understand he is only trying to protect his integrity and am sure many of us here have had similar experience

It was an error (based on the reliable sauce) they were trying to make a clear out payment yesterday and were trying to pay the remaining 1st, 3rd, 8th and 10th but paid 1st, 2nd, 8th and 10th instead... The payment was effected yesterday via NEFT and made to reflect this morning... They were able to call back a few, the ones they couldn't call back got credited this morning.. So don't think it is a free cherry that fell from the tree.

My token is, don't think there is free lunch anywhere in the world, try to contact NNPC if you are paid twice, it will show that you are accountable and have integrity. Who knows they may consider you for appointment based on those qualities...

Alright, please did you by any chance ask your source the likely timeline for APL? I mean is it still likely to be within September? We know no source no matter how credible would want to give an exact date but at least maybe a possible timeline

No bro, I doubt if anyone had the space to put down their location. They would only check your center of CBT and pay accordingly depending on how far or close. My guess is the payment officer hasn't pick up the sheet or page you wrote your details yet.

That was my interview panel chairman, 10th July, Panel 23. GT Accounting. We exchanged greetings and even before I asked, he said and I quote "Is your result out yet?". I replied no, we were hoping it would be out this week, any info sir?. He said he doesn't have any info regarding the recruitment, that even for them NNPC staff, they don't know what is happening. His role was just to conduct the interviews and he wished me luck. He couldn't even assure me if it would be out this September.

His reply is quite understandable, it might be that he truly knows nothing about it or may not want to tell you a sensitive information as this which may spread like wild fire given that his relationship with you is just that of interviewer and interviewee

Is there any correlation between Performance in the test and the interview scheduling? This one that those of us who interviewed on the 1st July are experiencing a sort of reckless abandon with this t-fare reimbursement, am not understanding oh. I had hitherto surmised that those of us scheduled for 1st July were top performers in the test and should be giving preference in subsequent communications...(an assumption though, reason why I need someone to clarify me).

What's more? I belong to this class of people who believe Holiness(kind of) is prerequisite for getting this APL hence, I have not engaged in the OTHER ROOM with any babe since May the notification mail for test dropped. Perhaps, one of the reasons have made it to this extent in the process thus far...smiles

Local man at the moment, is not finding it funny and I just pray this APL drops from next week ooh if not, Local man Can not can again ooh...e no easy!!!

Lol...Note @bolded that You being interviewed on the first is largely because you wrote your test in Abuja or any nearby center, that was the basis for scheduling the interview and not your performance during the test. You would also observe that those who were also interviewed with you at the same time also likely wrote their CBT at your center or nearby.

Brother, you are correct. it really bothers me the way we Nigerians are very aggressive when we disagree with someone or we think they have made a wrong statement. We then try to bring them down by using sometimes insulting language or make them look like they know not what they are saying.
