Hmmn

He said: “It’s crucial to note that over 70% of Lagos State’s operating revenue comes from taxes, with PAYE (Pay As You Earn) contributing 45%.

“This means the state’s wealth, which the governor seems to take all the credit for, is primarily generated by citizens’ hard work.

“What tangible benefits do Lagosians receive in return for this significant contribution? Do their children have access to quality public education?

Politics / Re: Lagos To Translate State's Laws Into Yoruba Language by Valeur: 5:02pm On Oct 17
Don't let anyone deceive you, there are Igbos who understand Yoruba language better than Yorubas born and bred in Nigeria.

I was laughing when you mentioned the likes of tiwa savage speaking Yoruba whilst Igbos that are away from home not understanding their language.

You can believe anything you want to believe but translating the laws to Yoruba language can't hide anything from an Igbo man
interested in the language.

Language is about Interest and how far you want to know.

It's also the delusion of some Igbos that Yorubas don't understand Igbo language.

People dey learn English language well without stepping outside the shores of Nigeria, na Yoruba language wey you fit pick up easily from the street naim Igbo chap wey Dem born for Lagos and went to public schools for Lagos, did the language from pry 1 to SS3, studied in universities in the SW no go understand?

Do you know someone Igbos even studied Yoruba language in the university?

ShescreamEWOOO:
even if you igbos Born in lagos understand yoruba you cant know it more than thr original yorubas as you said.
Politics / Re: Lagos To Translate State's Laws Into Yoruba Language by Valeur: 4:43pm On Oct 17
So it's the Igbos born and living in Lagos that'd not understand Yoruba abi?

ShescreamEWOOO:
this is a lie, i am not yoruba, but even the yorubas born and bred in London speaks the language fluently, the likes of tiwa savage, naira Marley and a host of them grew up in London but they still communicate fluently in yoruba.
An average south southerner mostly that travels out for average ten years don forget him mother tongue, give it to the yorubas for been able to preserve their culture, language and identity over the time.
They are very meticulous in keeping records, pictures of their daily life from ages past, events dating ages past in time, kings and monuments still floods the internet till today.
Their genzs are still following up, honestly, compared to other regions, Check their traditional festivals.......
Politics / Re: Lagos To Translate State's Laws Into Yoruba Language by Valeur: 1:05pm On Oct 17
Not smart.. Many Igbos understand Yoruba more than many Gen Z Yorubas.

If tribalism is the aim, it'll backfire

Politics / Re: Hypocrisy! Video Where Obi Promised To End Subsidy ''On Day 1''. No Palliative! by Valeur: 8:05am On Oct 16
I don't know the hysteria about Peter Obi.

Though, I didn't watch the video because it's unnecessary.
Even if said so, have you asked how he wants to go about it?

You think Peter Obi, if INEC rightly declared him winner and he was given the handover notes months before swearing in like Tinubu, wouldn't know what to do?

Or you think he'd just open his mouth like Tinubu to say "subsidy is gone" without thinking? Even Ododo, Kogi State governor won't do that.

No matter the propaganda against PO, the guy isn't T-pain abeg.

Tinubu should face governance and stop disturbing Nigerians.
PO has left him...let him show us what he can do that PO can not.

I respect how he gives to specific needs.
Unlike those who will claim they gave N500m to indigent people in the north but nothing to show at the end of the day

Peter Obi is demonstrating visible leadership and I'm sure many still believe in Nigeria because of him.

Nigerians are not as foolish as people think

Education / What You Need To Know About HCN by Valeur: 5:47am On Oct 01
Hydrogen cyanide (HCN) is a naturally occurring compound found in small amounts in certain foods, particularly in seeds, pits, and kernels of various fruits. Here are some foods that contain HCN:

Fruits:

1. Apricot kernels (highest concentration)
2. Cherry pits
3. Peach pits
4. Plum pits
5. Apple seeds
6. Pear seeds
7. Cherry seeds
8. Nectarine pits
9. Peach seeds
10. Greengage plum pits

Vegetables:

1. Cassava (manioc) roots and leaves
2. Sweet potato leaves
3. Lima beans
4. Bamboo shoots
5. Cabbage (small amounts)

Nuts and Seeds:

1. Almonds (bitter almonds contain more HCN)
2. Pecans
3. Walnuts
4. Pistachios
5. Flaxseeds

Grains:

1. Sorghum
2. Millet

Other:

1. Cigarette smoke (contains HCN)
2. Some herbal teas (e.g., apricot kernel tea)
3. Bitter Kola

Important Notes:

1. The amount of HCN in these foods can vary greatly depending on factors like ripeness, processing, and preparation.
2. Consuming large quantities or frequent consumption of these foods can increase HCN intake.
3. Heat, drying, or fermentation can reduce HCN levels.
4. Proper cooking and food preparation can minimize HCN exposure.

Safe Consumption Guidelines:

1. Avoid eating seeds, pits, or kernels.
2. Consume cassava and bamboo shoots in moderation.
3. Choose sweet almonds over bitter almonds.
4. Limit consumption of foods high in HCN.

While HCN is toxic, the amounts found in these foods are generally considered safe when consumed in moderation. However, it's essential to follow proper food preparation and consumption guidelines

Education / The Simplest Way To Raise Money Legitimately In Nigeria by Valeur: 4:45am On Oct 01
Nigerians are intelligent and very resourceful people. They are used to doing everything for themselves since the government have decided to abdicate their constitutional roles.

You seldom see a Nigerian without a business idea but the issue is usually pausity of funds.

Some "friends" won't give you free money nowadays if you aren't giving them anything in return.

Do you know you can raise cash for that project by simply providing a solution that 90% of your friends and neighbors need?

DT wey don swim with sharks can't be perturbed by this.
They know Trump has a thick skin that's why they'd do anything to stop him, even if it means killing him.

Trump will even turn it against them.

Heffalump:
Nigeria is still learning when it comes to political slandering and caricature. Give it to the Americans. They can be precisely dirty!

Can't imagine DT viewing image of himself with a lil dick, especially if it actually depicts the fact.

Politics / Re: LG POLL: Anambra Opposition Like The Devil Can't Hail Jesus.By Chinedu Obigwe by Valeur: 8:32am On Sep 30
Why do I have a feeling, Soludo is trying to justify something?
Politics / Re: APGA Wins Anambra LG Elections 21/21. Peter Obi, LP, APC Nowhere To Be Found. by Valeur: 10:16am On Sep 29
It's naive to reason like that.
The contestant for LP was second in the last gubernatorial election whilst in PDP.
Soludo only won because of the sentiment of Anambra people to retain APGA then. I doubt they still have those sentiments anymore considering Soludo's unwarranted attacks against PO

Soludo can't beat him except he rigs the election.

Most people care less about LG elections.
It'll be a miracle for Soludo to win again except of course INEC help him for fighting PO.

Anambra people and Nigerians are aware of the politics being played by Tinubu and INEC to make it look like PO isn't popular which is a big lie.
