I have a friend who has been using wood and wire mesh to construct his pens for years without issues... it should work perfectly for you too... but try to use concrete flooring tho

Thank you so much. Pls where will the wire mesh be fixed after the pen has been constructed with wooden slabs?

My sows are giving birth at an alarming rate and with this comes the need to expand, and with a 9 inches block going for N200, I am tempted to use wood slab for constructing new pens. Please if you have used wood slabs in the past, or you still use it, kindly let me know how strong they can be for pen constuction. My plan is just to use it for like two years before I am financially stable to construct with block again. Thank you.

Marketing is the biggest problem we have in pig farming. It may be earlier for those in Lagos for obviois reaaons, but inIbadan for instance, it is still hard to sell for above N270. Iwas shockedthat a kilo now goes for N350 inLagos and N320 in Ogun, but last week, I couldn't seel six pigs for N270. I think we should talk more on marketing since all our efforts will make no sense if we don't get good prices for our pigs.
