mathskill: Your myopic mind is still in the Nzeogwu, immediate post-colonial era syndrome. Given the opportunity i am sure you would want to replay the terrorism he unleashed on the psyche of the Nigerian nation when he woke up one morning and assassinated all notable Northern leaders and their southern sympathizers. What southern economy are talking about? The only growth in the so called southern economy you boast of is fueled by ransom money earned by kidnappers and pirates, baby making factories, oil bunkering, advanced fee fraud, drug pushing, fake universities, counterfeit drugs and the one built with stolen money by southern lead Bank executives Okey Nwosu,Erastus Akingbola,Sebastian Adigwe and Cecelia Ibru. Tell me if it wasn't for the policies of SLS not only would have these banks wound up but also innocent depositors would have lost life savings.

mathskill: Conjectures,Fear mongering and name calling are all signs of schizophrenia. You also exhibit symptoms of Sanusiphobis. I strongly advice you seek professional medical(don't go to a pastor for deliverance) attention for your illness."got first hand information from my church elders" is that evidence? Read the newspapers my friend. The questions to be asked is, is the Church the target?if a church has to be registered by the CAC why can't the CBN as for their accounts to be updated? Read the following excerpt from the Puch"The CBN circular, which was obtained by Saturday PUNCH, stated that the DNFBPs include religious and charitable organisations, dealers in jewellery, precious metals and stones, cars and luxury goods, audit firms, tax consultants, clearing and settlement companies, lawyers, notaries, other independent legal practitioners, chartered accountants and trust company service providers.

Others include hotels, casinos, supermarkets, real estate agents, non-governmental organisations, Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment or appropriate regulatory authorities.

It said, “In consideration of some challenges encountered by the Special Control Unit against Money Laundering as a result of the number of persons seeking to enjoy late compliance, the CBN has decided to further extend the second deadline of April 30, 2013 by eight months to December 31, 2013.”

The bank warned DNFBPs that were yet to register to take advantage of the extension or risk losing their accounts.

Under the new regime, the designated institutions are required to fill forms listing their shareholders and directors.

Religious organisations are registered under Act C of the Companies and Allied Matters Act which is for non-governmental organisations while the new regime has placed them under Act F, which applies to businesses.

They are also required to get their forms endorsed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, as part of CBN’s ongoing tracking of sources of funds for Boko Haram and other terrorist groups in the country". If anyone is indirectly mentioned is in fact the Islamic religion as Boko Haram is mentioned which is synonimous with Islam(albeit wrong).
When You start taking your pills and their is remarkable improvement in your health please let me know so we can discuss further.

CHRISTIANS ARE NOT BOKOHARAM LIKE YOU MUSLIM.

TELL ALL YOUR ALHAJI TO SUPPORT THE RELIGION NOT BOKOHARAM.

THE MONEY YOU SPEND ON BOKO IS OKAY TO TAKE YOUR RELIGION TO A WELL RESPECTED PLACE.

Family / Re: My Dad Breaks Me Down Everyday by webcityng: 11:26am On Apr 05, 2013
jaystunt: I am the first born in a family of 6 but I hardly ever get the honour or respect that a first born is entitled to.
I'm what u can refer to as a 'figure head' as my dad who's never scared to show his favoritism to my immediate brother thinks he as the 'real deal', hence leaving me relegated to the background. He(my brother) was not quite good with his books but skilled with his hands, and I was the opposite. My dad is a sucker for people like that but to do it in his home at the detriment of his first child is what I've been grappling with for over 20yrs of my life.

Right from when we were very young my kid bro has been very close to my dad and when I got to secondary school and subsequently the uni, it only made the gap btw him and myself wider. We never got together like a father and child do. I remember poisoning myself in junior high when I just couldn't cope with the situation.

Fast forward 5yrs after college, the family split only (a yr ago). Dad relocated to Ibadan and I and my two brothers stayed put in Lagos but in my apartment. He visits every month, but I see nothing changed in the way he behaves towards me.

Only recently I got to know he's about selling one of his houses out. He gave my immediate brother the papers and the all clear to sell It. When I got wind of the information, I wept like a baby as I never thought he could do that to me.
My immediate brother knows pretty well that dad is on his side and hardly respects me in my own flat. It's even gotten to a stage where I feel like throwing him out. He's such a nuisance this days to me not because I'm jealous but his disregard for me as his senior.

I'm a year older but his attitude towards is dat of an elder brother to his junior. My dad still gets things from me but his loyalty and love rests on my brother.

I honestly don't know what to do to get this depression of me.

Guys how can I stay and lead a happy life amidst dis mess! Pls help!

NONESENSE!!!

ABEG GO WORK HARD, MAKE YOUR OWN MONEY AND STOP BEEN CHILDISH. TO ME YOU SOUND LIKE THE LAST BORN OF THE FAMILY.

Phones / Samsung Set For Crucial Galaxy S4 Smartphone Launch by webcityng: 2:50pm On Mar 14, 2013
Samsung is set to launch a device in its flagship premium smartphone range, expected to be named the Galaxy S4. It follows the S3, a handset that has sold more than 40 million units. The Galaxy handsets are seen as the closest competitor to Apple’s iPhone.

Analysts predict software that tracks where users are looking and automatically scrolls down the page as it is read, without it being touched.

There is also expected to be a souped-up camera and processor.

But crucial to Samsung’s future success, analysts say, is how the South Korean company plans to turn its strong position in the smartphone market into greater success with other devices such as tablets.

Prior to Thursday’s launch in New York, Samsung has unleashed a huge advertising campaign, including a series of videos involving a small boy tasked with looking after a “top secret” box.

Heavy customisation
Like the S3, the S4 is expected to run on Google’s Android operating system – but analysts are predicting some heavy customisation from Samsung in order to give the device a more distinctive feel and, crucially, set it apart from its competitors’ Android-based handsets.

Religion / Cardinals Fail To Elect Pope After Three Ballots by webcityng: 5:13pm On Mar 13, 2013
The 115 cardinal electors entered the conclave in the Sistine’s Renaissance splendor on Tuesday and held their first inconclusive ballot that evening.

Black smoke emerged again on Wednesday after the cardinals held two morning ballots. Before returning to the conclave they had prayed for inspiration from God to choose a leader who can lead the Church out of scandal and internal strife.

Two more sessions will be held on Wednesday afternoon under a schedule that sees four votes each day. When the new pontiff is elected, white smoke will billow from the makeshift chimney above the chapel and the bells of St Peter’s Basilica will ring.

The black smoke on Wednesday caused disappointment among excited crowds braving incessant rain in St. Peter’s Square, but few had expected a decision so soon after the conclave began.

“You can’t expect a microwave pope. It’s a process. These men are trying carefully to work out who should be the next to lead them. I am kind of happy it wasn’t white smoke because I just showed up,” 34-year-old American artist and missionary Adrian Britton told Reuters in the sprawling square.

“I am a bit disappointed because we wanted to see the white smoke, and we’re only here for one more day,” said 25-year-old Austrian student Daniela Weber as she stood among the hundreds of spectators sheltering under umbrellas.

Politics / APC Governor’s Visit To Borno ‘foolish Bravery’ – Okupe by webcityng: 9:59am On Mar 13, 2013
Mr Okupe, who was a guest on Channels Television’s breakfast programme, Sunrise Daily, said the caché of arms uncovered by the military Joint Task Force (JTF) in Borno State after President Jonathan visited the state showed that there was ‘clear and present danger’ in the state.

The presidential spokesman, who was speaking on the achievement of President Jonathan’s visit to Borno and Yobe states said, “I cannot finish this without talking about the visit of the so-called 10 or 11 APC governors, who went on a dance parade to the market square and were waving hands and people are now saying that they were courageous.”

Mr Okupe said President Jonathan and not the governors was the target of Boko Haram.

He said, “The governors that went to Borno were not the target. They are not consequential in the consideration of the Boko Haram. 30 governors can go to Borno state, Boko Haram is not moved by that. The president is their target and that is what makes the difference.

“What was demonstrated was foolish bravery.”

Dual Core: There is a difference between traffic and conversion.

Nairaland is guaranteed to give you traffic (by sending 500 Garri posters and a few serious people your way).

The likelihood that one single garri poster will pay for your service is zero(zero conversion, at least 500 pageviews).
The likelihood that the few serious ones will patronize you is there but really will you be in profit after paying 60k to get them 20 people to buy a product of 5000 where you profit on the product is 3000 Naira?

So really when one looks at the quality of threads and comments that hit the frontpage, one has to think well about what to really spend 60k per month on.
