Romance / Re: About To Lose A Good Girl. Please Help! by westluska(m): 11:20pm On Jan 28, 2020
@Jeffmonti I think we have an issue of dishonesty here. From your story, it seems you didn't do due diligence to find out if your Sidechick was indeed pregnant.
I believe that she is not. She's doing all these to get a lot of money from you.
If I were you, I'd damn her treats, call it bluff and tell her to go ahead and have the baby.

Here is my 1 cent,

N240,000/m salary is not easy to come about in Nigeria, if you are sure of getting good job after your Master Program in UK you can go. But if you are not, get your Master Degree here and continue your current job. Don't leave you current for Master Degree and come back to join Job seekers.

Thanks.

In the meantime, let me give you an insight.
The reason showbiz strive is that people tend to show interest in stuff that are out of their normal daily activities.
If you listen to Asa songs, you will feel the stir in your soul as you flow with the lyrics however the truth is that you are in the minority as the other majority needs something more physical, they don't care about the meaning, they want the beats.

So what happens in showbiz, you give the people what they want.

You may not care about Tonto new red dress or Adaeze cleavage but they are people are clicking on any topic that show related headlines (check traffic report of most bloggers).
So if people are so interested in celebrity's lifestyle. Why not promote some people as celebrities, lock them in a house and put cameras to screen out what they do.

Those guys who organize the show are not charity organization, they are businessmen who are expecting profit.
If people don't like what they do, they will be out of business.

On how it affects the common man or the economy.
1. Viewing is through cable, many people specifically subscribed during the period for the show. The guy at the DStv shop near you gets some commission, if you are installing newly then bigger pay for him.

2. Voting are done through text, the recharge card boy issue selling more credits

3. You don't wanna miss a show cos of NEPA? then buy fuel. The fuel attendant is getting paid.

4. Bloggers just need to post "see what TTT did at night" and thousands will click to see. More clicks, more money from Google and other advertising networks

5. Perspective : There are thousands of ajebutters locked up in their high fence compound and the only thing they know are housemaids and driver. This shows may be their only opportunity to see real living from another perspective.

It showbiz bro, if people are willing to pay to watch, then give them what they want after all you are not 700 Club that gives boring testimonies but they are still on air only because they live on donations for the good work

English language is not a true reflection of intelligence . You made much more sense in plane words than anybody would in huge vocabulary. You spoke like a business man.

Trying to vindicate the president from this administrations ineptitude using this Cheap method is weak. We are still facing the issue of economic apocalypse, impending famine, absence of policies to create enabling platform for businesses (sme's) to thrive. And yet all this administration does is churn out stories to create talking point to distract unsuspecting citizens from the main issue.
This article is just a mere diversion.

Politics / Re: DSS Invading Homes Of Judges In Abuja by westluska(m): 6:53am On Oct 08, 2016
HungerBAD:
Very interesting.

The DSS will not move against these Judge's,if there are no proof of them collecting bribes.

These are Judges, and not ordinary Nigerians. So for the Security men to publicly move against them this way, would show they have gathered tangible evidences.

The Judiciary is the most protected Arm of any Government, and I hope to God the DSS are sure of what they are doing.

If these Judges have been compromised, then the National Judicial Council should not only Debar them, but they should be jailed for a long time for bringing the legal system to a disrepute.

I stand with the fight against corrupt Judges.

Be careful what you wish for. This has transcended fight against corruption. It has a personal undertone given the recent rulings of these judges.

If by chance these judges are corrupt, in a democratic setting are the security operative supposed to act in a crude way by callously invading the private quarters of a judge to abduct him? I don't think you'd see things like this happening in a sane clime.

The president is trying to run down this country and sentiments from your likes fuels these tyranny.

We speak against these and many actions for posterity sake.

Politics / Rivers State : Wike Threatened As He resists Police, DSS Attempt To Abduct Judge by westluska(m): 6:29am On Oct 08, 2016
BY JIMITOTA ONOYUME PORT HARCOURT : Governor Nyesom Wike in the early hours of (Saturday) today mobilised to stop alleged attempt by men of the Department of State Security, DSS and the Police to abduct a Judge at his number 35/84 B residence, Forces Avenue, Port Harcourt.

The governor who fielded questions from newsmen in front of the Judge’s residence said he was manhandled by men of the DSS and the Police who came to whisk the judge away.

What has happened this night it is unfortunate. Even in military government it has never happened like this , you listen to people. That is why we are here. I said not under my watch will I allow this type of activity take place. “The DSS, Police they cocked their guns and said they will shoot me. And I told them I have never heard this type of thing happen before. Again this is to show that more of this will come. Wondering why the security men will choose 1 am to storm the residence of the judge the governor said their action portend danger for the nation’s democracy. He said all he expected the security men to have done was to invite the judge, adding that if he had ignored the invitation then other legal steps should have been taken. Continuing, he said he did not bother to know the name of the judge but he only had to come out to stop the attempted abduction of the judge because as Chief Security of the state he would not allow such lawlessness take place in his state.

obailala:
Where would the power come from when the power companies claim they dont have enough revenue to even operate the present facilities, let alone improve?

I would rather say, "pre-paid meters before increment." With that, we know we only pay for what we use.

It is a shame that these business men bought these discos hoping to service it with customers money. What happened to loans in banks? Will MTN increase tarriff so as to improve their services? They have to improve services first by investing heavily, overtime they'd recoup these monies...Nigeria has a very large market.
I concur with you on the pre-paid meters but most importantly, they should invest with their own resources not milking their customers.
