Politics / Re: Some Of Nigerian Police Now Use Two Guns At A Time Reasons Still Unknown? by whizzykid: 9:52am On Jun 04, 2010
If you want to address the issue of the police from the angle of humor it makes sense to see this, but if other wise, i do not expect anything better from the police. Always remember you cant give what you dont have. We are talking about a system problem here. So what if you see another police man with three rifles, will you be surprised? Anything can happen, its actually a shame.

A friend of mine we were in the US together spoke to me 2 days ago and said she heard that anytime Nigerians abroad come back home, the run back to the US 2 years after, so i told her that a country without a police system is a big problem. In Nigeria when you have a problem or an issue that bothers around the police, the last place you wanna go is the police station because you are so sure that you will come out worse off.

I am business strategist, people say they like Jonathan, and the question is for what? What i expect of this man is to put structures in place, abi who is advising these people for crying out loud? I can guaranty anyone that a country that doesnt have a good policing system is a disaster waiting to happen.
Family / Re: How Is Your Wife Or Hubby Coping With You Snoring! by whizzykid: 11:16am On Jun 01, 2010
I think its important that one passes the message across appropriately to the partner concerned. Possibly jokingly, so that both parties can enjoy their living together rather than seeing it as a fault of the other. Things like this can bring low self esteem if not properly managed and thats the beginning of malice in the house.
Politics / Re: Nigerian Police Uniforms Should Be Without Pockets? by whizzykid: 11:07am On Jun 01, 2010
@poster.

I will want to assume your joking. I think thats not the solution to their problem. Its an attitude problem from the government 1st and foremost and the police personnel on the second hand.

Government pays a man a paltry sum of N25k to face armed rubbers without any insurance for their families, the have to buy the uniforms they use for work, buy fuel in their patrol vans. I am not making a case for the police here, as much as i dont like them a bit, the real issue is that before we can castigate the police and pull their balls out, let government make the occupation attractive for qualified people to come and join. Have you ever thought about how police men and the lower cadre are recruited? You will be shocked.

I rest my case.
