Family / Re: How Do You Cope If Married To Someone You Don't Love? by xeros20(m): 11:32pm On Jul 06, 2020
ollins:
Let me cut the story short. Had a fling with this girl, along the line she got pregnant. You know all that talk of "if you could sleep with her, then you must marry her" "if you got her pregnant then you must marry her", Iooking back now, I wished I hadn't listened to all those voices.

I knew in my heart that I didn't love her, even she knew but the pressure from the family was too much, I had to marry her. On my marriage day I was practically crying within me.

Her character is just opposite of all I wanted in a woman, she's barely educated, loud and loquacious.

That's my cross I am carrying today, stuck in a loveless marriage.

The warmth and Romance is absent from our home, we have not had intimacy since beginning of the year till now, we just have no interest anymore in each other. We are just living together for the sake of our child.

My question now is how does one cope? Is this how I am going to live the rest of my life?
Try to make her the woman you want, you can reshape her don't give up, don't regret or feel guilt. Take it upon yourself that u can transform her to the dream wife.

Properties / Re: Please Help. My Apartment Is Being Haunted By A Ghost. by xeros20(m): 6:54pm On May 24, 2020
Cloud699999:
Good morning Nairalander,

It all started Last week When a neighbor next to my apartment died without nobody noticing for 2 days until she started smelling. We didn't actually suspect that it was from her room until someone came looking for her because she wasn't answering her phone, which was still ringing inside and the door was locked from the inside that was how we knew she was dead, already swollen because the last time we saw was Sunday night and we didn't know untill Tuesday that she was dead.

All this happened last week. Later that Tueday family and friends with police came to evacuate her corpse. No foul play or any struggle seems she died in her sleep. She was young and a very playful lady and lively. She is 36 years old single mother and she lives.

So the haunting started 2 days later. The First one happened around 2am, My girlfriend said she saw someone looking like standing by the door outside just staring straight at her, there was no light and the window was open, so when she pointed torch light she saw nothing but when she switch the torch light, she saw the shadow of the same person. That really scared shit out of me because she later told me in the morning.

The second was last night. Someone was banging seriously on the toilet window because it's an iron window. The banging continue for almost 3hours. It was double banging as if someone was knocking hard. I doubt it was someone when I try I check I couldn't find anyone there, few minute later the banging continue till around 4.30am when mosque call out for prayer. And I could here some here some sound like someone walking in the next room where she died, no one was home. Her sister refuse to sleep in the room so it was locked.

Please help, how can I get rid of this unwanted disturbances. I don't know what to do. This last night scare me to the bone. The funniest thing. No one heard this banging except me. The other neighbors have different theory.

Anyone experience this kind of thing before? How did you handle it?
By the mention of the name Jesus every kneel must bow. Why don't you try it, just speak the word, give the command and you won't see that beast near you.

My Fiancée Does This. What Does It Mean?

Good day all.

The lockdown has brought my fiancée and I more closer. She spends most of her time now in my place than hers. While staying with me, I one day carried her phone to make call I discovered she doesn't put password on her phone.

Just few days ago while she was sleeping, I used her phone to Google something online and something pushed me to open her Facebook app. When I open, I realized she deletes chats after conversation. I was looking for the messages I do sent her on Facebook and could not find any.

I can't figure out what this means.
If you want to marry her pls go ahead and marry. Once you married her she won't get distracted.she is also not sure if you will marry her. Stop digging deep.

Truly what happens in Nigeria doesn't happen other places and I must blame Access Bank's media handlers for this communication breakdown and not being proactive enough in debunking this news when it came up https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://saharareporters.com/2020/05/02/exclusive-pregnant-access-bank-cashier-collapses-lagos-after-receiving-sack-letter&ved=2ahUKEwjjppDXipzpAhVOxoUKHQ-pABcQxfQBMAN6BAgEEAQ&usg=AOvVaw0DWMZnE1w2hYT1TEvw0BPC. No matter what Access bank says now d most of us believe it's d CBN intervention dat stopped d impending job losses at Access bank and will only see this their belated explanation as a face saving attempt. Even d loquacious FFK queried how d Access bank owner Wigwe sleeps at night when he sacks his staff after releasing One Billion Naira to FG to support Covid 19 yet no rebuttal from d bank. The MD even talked about taking a 40% salary cut and all that thus lending credence to d story of downsizing https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.thecable.ng/take-40-pay-cut-access-bank-md-hints-salary-cuts-staff-sack/amp&ved=2ahUKEwjMlIr5j5zpAhWnyIUKHdLEB9QQFjAAegQIAhAB&usg=AOvVaw0LBGybP8iOlgGBpZOROd4W&ampcf=1. My advice is if u are a banker especially of Access begin to look for an alternative source of livelihood cos if truth be told with so much withdrawal across all banks without a commensurate deposits of funds d sacking of staff might appear inevitable.
Are you saying staff were not sacked? I have termination letters from access bank staff that were layed off

Why sending them back. They deserve the right to be in Lagos with their cows and cattle.

They should rather be quarantined for 15 days and if no sign of covid-19 then they should be released to the society and Lagos at large.

The constitution guarantees them that..
The law stated lockdown, they have offended and should be sent back to Zamfara. Why didn't they wait till affect the lockdown.

I also love the bushes and the local streams. I love Igbo language. My mom always made sure I learn it, and I have been so grateful that I can speak and write it. I speak Spanish and little German. My college friend Bolla thought me some Yooruba language as well. I regret leaving my cousins and the village. I dont like Nigerian cities, always reminds me of India when I visited. ‘We want him back’ — Ihedioha’s supporters troop to the streets of Owerri

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gc1rLkc_faw

Protesters trooped to the streets of Owerri, Imo state capital, on Sunday to  kick against the verdict of the supreme court which led to the removal of Emeka Ihedioha as governor of Imo.

The apex court had on Tuesday ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to return Hope Uzodinma, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as winner of the election.

Uzodinma placed a distant fourth in the results announced by INEC. But the apex court declared him winner based on the APC candidate’s claim that his votes across 388 polling units were annulled.

The judgement sparked different reactions. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has threatened to carry out a protest in Abuja on Monday.

Romance / Re: My Sister Is About To Marry An Osu Man, About To Commit A Serious Taboo by xeros20(m): 8:20pm On Nov 25, 2019
TheSkyIsBlue:
My Sister Is About To Commit A Serious Taboo All In The Name Of Marriage

Hello Nairalanders!

Please ignore any typographical or grammatical error. I just want to pour it out the way it is in my heart.

I am seriously confused and worried about what is happening in my family and I will appreciate your candid advice.

There is this guy my sister has been in a relationship with for over seven years now. so he actually asked her hand in marriage and decided to come see my parents for introduction, about some months ago. My family decided to take their time to find out more about the guys family background as is required in Igbo tradition.

After several questions asked, my family came to find out that the guy is an Osu (an outcast). On knowing this, everybody in my family told my sister to cut ties with him and discontinue the relationship because it is a big taboo to get married to an Osu in my place . If you do, no family member or friend will attend your wedding or even have anything to do with you again.

But my sister refused to listen to anybody claiming she really loves the guy, that they have been together for a very long time and that she is not getting younger anymore (mind you, she is in her early thirties). Everybody (my parents and extended family members) tried to talk her out of it but she still didn't listen.

After much pressure and her continues insistence, my dad decided to give them his blessings, although against his wish (my dad is actually not really deep into tradition). Now the guy has done all the traditional rights and paid for her dowry. Their wedding is coming up soon.

But the problem now is, according to tradition and from what I heard, if she was allowed to go with the guy without my dad giving them his blessings, the stigma would have just been on her and she alone would have been considered Osu, since she insisted to continue with the marriage. But now that my dad has given them his blessings, it is considered that all of us (her siblings) will also have that link of Osu too. Except if she decide to put an end to the relationship and discontinue with the wedding, which I don't think my sister is ready to do.

I am really worried and depressed about it, cause I don't want anything that will affect me tomorrow when I want to get married just because of my sister's mistakes.

I will really like to get opinions and sincere advice especially from those that are familiar with tradition, cause I'm seriously bothered. Thanks!

Big lie, nothing concerns you with OSU. The OSU follows your sister alone. Go and ask elders.

I am planning to marry her. We Have courted for one year.

I have caught her stealing my money twice but in all cases, she wept, knelt and begged me, saying it is the spirit of succubus and incubus that makes her do that.

I forgave her because I am mad over this girl. I so love her.

Now I caught her via her phone chats, that she has been deleting her chats with a guy she claims is her classmate. After not talking to her for two days, she wept and knelt to beg me, confessing that, the guy has proposed to her and that the spirits of succubus and incubus made her delete the chats.

She says I should take her to a prophet for deliverance.

I so love her

Please what do you advise?

Thanks
I think you need deliverance, that Spirit has possessed you.
Family / Re: What My Wife Does Whenever We Have A Disagreement by xeros20(m): 10:39pm On Nov 14, 2019
[quote author=byna post=84030487]We got married in 2012 and ever since then we have been blessed with 3kids (3,boys).
I have a monthly upkeep of 130k for my wife as she only comes to our factory and goes home without doing much for the day aside taking care of kids and cooking.

I noticed that each time we have a misunderstanding, we both keep straight faces for days and she behaves as though she is less concerned to make up. It doesn't affect her chores or cooking as for me I hardly reject food served.

Now, after a couple of days, she would come for sex without wanting us to discuss and resolve the disagreement first.

Even when I feel rudely insulted, this happens. She feels whatever she does doesnt matter as long as Las Las na sex go end am. But I feel it's wrong and issues should be kept straight and fun time separate.

So we had same issues last week and we have been keeping straight faces yet I've been eating her food. Sometimes she joins me for mng prayers, sometimes she does her privately ( we do together before any misunderstanding)
So this mng she appeared stark nude to my room and demanded for sex after almost 15 days. I told her it would be unfair if we sweep the pass e events under the duvet. She got up and told me she wasn't ready to discuss any past misunderstanding that she came to f*uck. I told her I wasn't ready till issues are ironed out.

She taught it was business as usually as my John Thomas always disappoint me each time I see her nude but today I was ready to turn her down.

I Want to know if it's proper to always treat ur spouse the way you like knowing fully well that sex is their weak point for reconciliation?

Mature minds pls

[/quote
That's how you guys started, I guess even when u were dating. Always forgive her. Try to discuss this matter when both of you are in peace and not in quarell mode. Take time to understand her. She is a simple lady with clear mind.

Good moring nairalanders.

I want justice pls.

I was jailed 4 years ago when i was arrested, tried and sentenced for fraud.

I was not a criminally minded person but do to the economic hardship and how to provide for my wife and daughter I went into fraud.

My wife was supporting our union with her trade which the income was very low and to feed was war.

To cut the long story short when i was in prison she do visit occasionally but during 3 years spent already she stop visiting.

When i was freed last 2 months and to know what ups I went to where we live and learnt from a neighbour that my wife has parked out from our 2 rooms apartment and is now living with a man.

I got the address, went their and lo and behold she was heavily pregnant for the man.

I felt like fainting that moment and to make matter worse she said it to my face that she can't live with an ex convict.

My 5 years old daughter wants me back but my wife and her family are fighting against that.

I still love my wife despite her betrayal but the pregnancy and her refusal to give me back my daughter is giving me problem.

I want justice against the wife snatcher and i want back my wife and daughter.

Please what is the best ways to go about it so as not to go against the law.

Mods,I want justice.

Settle down make money legally, forget about your ex wife. Meanwhile leave your daughter alone for now untill you find your feet. Your daughter is yours anytime allow the man to train small then you can come for her.

Family / Re: My Wife Insists No Sex Until Wedding Night Even After Our Traditional Wedding by xeros20(m): 9:13am On Oct 31, 2019
Chigold101:

Brother she told you this you went to pay the bride's price. So I don't see why you are acting surprised.
Again wisdom should have told you to fix the wedding immediately after or even during the traditional wedding.
In Igbo land it is allowed for the couple to do church wedding in the morning and use the traditional wedding ceremony as the reception that is after you might have paid the bride's price the day before.
I won't blame the girl because a friend of mine was totally destroyed emotionally and psychologically and she never really recovered from the shock until she died few years after. A man claimed to love her and she was head over heals in love. The man paid the bride's price, did every other thing that is traditionally required, but finally abandoned the girl two years after and got married to another lady. He said my friend was an ogbanje.
I have another girl who is like a daughter to me, pressure of life pushed her into early marriage that never lasted for 3 months with a baby to nurse plus a broken heart and almost a broken life. The man can as usual did all the traditional rites put her in the family way. Came up with all manner of stories and left her.
I don't blame this lady, respect her christian faith and church doctrine.
I didn't touch my wife until after our wedding night.. But I did everything within two months. I wanted to do everything withing a month but because the Bishop who would wed us have other engagements, it now took me 2 months and 2 weeks.

Don't break your marriage because of sex. It is too early for that. Don't make the lady detest sex forever. Don't make her see sex as only a man's need.
Give her space. Fix the wedding date and wed then joyfully enter into the world of sex with your wife. Don't give her reasons to doubt your love for her. Women are looking for tender care, understanding and practical love.

DON"T BREAK YOUR HOME NOW... IT IS TOO EARLY TO HAVE MARRIAGE PROBLEM

You have summarized the matter.
