Difference is its part of Wike's personality but not Sim. So he looks silly making all the noise

On development, Good for us Rivers people. I voted for Tonye Cole as it was clear then that Wike would be overbearing as usual and things could likely going to end this way. I warned so many people

Politics / Re: Supreme Court Judgement Is Disappointing, Concerning - PDP by XXCASH: 9:38pm On Oct 26, 2023
nairalanda1:
Show is over. 2027 is around the corner. Get ready.

The opposition loses when it is divided. That is one lesson it took Buhuhari 3 elections to learn. Even 2011 election, the man gutted the opposition, and formed his own party, and there we are. Same for Peter Obi...gutted PDP, and asa result, APC won.

Yes, APC won because PDP was divided. If you want to abuse me, fine. You would be sounding like the CPC supporters who abused all and sundry in 2011 when their man lost again. Person wey wreck the ANPP to become president, yes, e go work.

Personally, I no like PDP or APC, or LP. But APC needed to be voted out, and PDP was the only viable party left that could do it. And Obi, like Buhari in 2011, wrecked that chance.

Anyway, the problem is, Nigerians do not learn from their mistakes. Apparently Obi is so perfect, he cannot lose. Same thing Buhari suppoprters were saying years ago

Anyway, we need a united oppositon in 2026. Not thisone where X is on one side, Y is on the other.

Wisdom. Well said

Will the so perfect Obi agree to collaborate. Very funny people that dont understand anything.

I also wanted APC voted out but like you rightly said. Obi messed it up. Wike started it by refusing to allow PDP micro zone but Obi finished it completely

Family / Re: Married As A Virgin, Married For Love Yet..... by XXCASH: 12:35pm On Oct 14, 2023
preshpraiz:
It's 2.47 am here but I can't sleep, I hardly sleep these days.

My whole world is crumbling.
I have been a regular guest here for awhile now but had to register this morning, I need somewhere to pour out my heart, somewhere to dump my frustrations.

I came from a good, not so rich home but my parents were so hardworking.I had a good moral upbringing, went to tertiary institution and graduated with good grades.

While in school, I never had a boy friend though I had a lot of "chykers", never went clubbing, didn't socialize much.

Few months to the end of my NYSC, I met my husband. We got talking and boom, I fell in love with him. He is my ideal man....he doesn't drink nor smoke, gentle and soft spoken.

He wasn't earning much but it didn't bother me. I believe in working hard and growing with my man.

Now my regrets...
* The "angel" I married has refused to get a job after losing the last one during COVID 19.

He said he can never work in a private company again. His target is multinationals.

I encouraged him to pick up a job with private company while hoping for a bigger fish at least to support in taking care of the needs at home but he said no.

I'm left with taking care of our 3 kids, feeding, school fees and virtually every need at home. All he does is press phone, gamble and sleep.

Now our rent is due, no money.
I married as a virgin, married for love and not money, work my ass off, doing so many side hustle to shoulder the expenses at home. I'm tired. I regret all these.

When I see my "unserious" classmates on social media and sometimes offline, I weep. See them living large. I thought all the sacrifices I made way back will pay off now.
I have made up my mind that if he doesn't fix the rent, I will move back to my parent's house.

Kindly feel free to advise or bash me. Tankio

First of all, the assumption that you married a perfect man was wrong. Nobody is perfect and you didnt see his flaws. Its a lesson so take it as such

Secondly, as long as he is not violent. You must continue to appeal to his sense of reasoning so he can change. Try a little more, dont give up yet.

Finally, you must note that no marriage is perfect. I have been married for close to 20yrs I can tell you that from experience. Do all you can to find a solution before giving it a quit. Unless you have a violent home, raising kids alone is definitely a no no

I must add this, dont be jealous by those you see. There is no way your sacrifices wont pay off. Just your ideals growing up that kept you without flirting could have a positive impact on your kids
Success in marriage is not how large you live but what you make out the kids you have.

Your company is ready to spend 7X your monthly salary for a 5 days trip. The thing shock me too.

Sorry, I dont believe that too and I see why they rejected it

If you simply applied for a visitor's visa showing you can sponsor it, that will be better than this.

Atiku is also heading to supreme court, why haven't u advised Atiku not to do same?
Peter Obi name kee u there!!

Though I don't see the supreme court upturning Tinubu, but let Atiku and Peter Obi go and contest the judgement again.... At least that aspect that say INEC has liberty to determine how it wants to transmit result. That is unacceptable.

I went to vote because the electoral law mandate INEC to transmit results electronically, and INEC told us severally they would transmit electronically.
No corrupt rag-tag judges should turn the rules upside down and drag our electoral process backward.

So you mean the results were not transmitted electronically. Have you checked Irev to confirm this

If you read the piece, you would see that the said Igbo man for whom a coup was led against Gowon was from Kalabari.

The implication is that these guys know you are, and see you guys as Igbo, but you have been fed rubbish which you have held onto, erroneously, for far too long.

Family / Re: The Guilt Of Locking My Husband Up For Two Days by XXCASH: 2:37am On Aug 23, 2023
Verokeena:
Good afternoon Nl family
Please pardon my epistle

My husband lost his job two years ago and ever since he has been so reluctant on getting another.. not to brag but I can say I have been the one keeping the family going ever since the job incidence (not like I ever complained) .

What I noticed about him is he now drinks and smokes and he is always hissing (obviously he is not happy and I try to always console him just to elate his Spirit)

Fast forward to last two months.. I got back from work and I was very tired.. I had to go pick the kids from school , bathe them, feed them and to make matters worst I wasn't feeling too alright .. (when I got home he (my husband) wasn't at home)

When I was done with the kids and fixing the house I was so tired I thought to myself to take a lil nap that was how I slept off (and this was around 9pm) ..

He got back around 10pm obviously drunk and smelling like a skunk.. he went straight to the kitchen. That was how the whole problem started.. first was insult.. then my phone, smashed it on the ground later my clothes he started tearing them .. saying all those things he was destroying was why I was feeling untouchable that he knows I have male friends sleeping with me..

I tried securing my items so he doesn't destroy more things that was how he pounced on me..

The next day I got him arrested he spent two days there.. but now I feel so guilty... He doesn't talk to me anymore.. I have apologized times without number

I don't just know what to do...

Nb: even while he was there I was still taking food to him

My dear, I have been married for over 15 years and you must understand that men have ego issues. That's why he is depressed

To start with, I dont know how many kids you have but that doesn't sound like a good environment to raise them. I'll suggest you go to take them and stay with your parents/family for a while.

It will take the special grace for him to forgive, you can go over once a week to prepare meals the week.

Your husband needs to spend sometime on his own. He needs to reflect and think properly for now

Family / Re: When Is The Best Age To Give Sex Education To Your Child by XXCASH: 8:01am On Jul 16, 2023
DaBogu:
I wish to ask this question to know if I am on the right path. I am a kind that believe parents should start teaching their children at age of 14 and above about the danger of having sex at a tender age.

Sometimes ago, I received the most brutal disgrace of my life. I have this neighbor that has two daughters. The eldest is 15 years old while the other one is just 12 years old.

So there was a day I was teaching them about the danger of having sex at all and of course at such tender age.

In the course of our conversation, their mother walked bye and she started yelling at me and raining all sort of insults on me. She was like, what sort of nonsense am I teaching her children, what kind of rubbish is that, my children are young and yet you are teaching them rubbish, for your info my children are young and they don't know anything about all the rubbish you have been saying, never and never in your life talked to my daughters in your life.

I was disgraced but was later rescued by my brother who instructed me to apologise to the woman.

Now, the question is, does enlightening our children who has attained the age of 13 and above about the danger of sex portends any danger. And when is the right age can one start teaching his/her children about the calamity of sex ?

Please, Matured responses.

Thank you in anticipation

I see responses and notice that most people see sex education mainly about sexual intercourse. Wrong

There are different levels of sex education and you should start as early as possible for both the Male and female child
E.g From 6years, your child should be taught about the need to keep her private parts private
From 9years, they must know what to look out for in predators. Uncle, Aunty etc.
From 12years, they should start to understand the dangers intercourse.
From 16years, teach them safe sex and emphasize the importance/benefits of abstinence

After this, they are adults so you got nothing on them anymore. Just your prayers and presence is all you can give

Finally please note, it's not in your place to teach other people's children about this. So you were wrong doing that
