Poor people in Nigeria, unu sorry o.

Now you people will learn that elections have consequences.

You tried to be funny but you only ended up exposing how dense you truly are.

Let me break it down for you like you're 5 years old.

The astronomical increase in dollar rates, fuel price, and gas prices has made the ease of doing business become harder than Further Maths, even a teenager knows this, but you're trying to bend the facts.

These massive increases in cost of living has resulted in the shutting down and relocation of most businesses. It has also ensured that we do not get new foreign investors because nobody wants to do business where the cost of living is unbearably high not to talk of the cost of running their businesses.

As a result, the businesses who choose to stay have to make adjustments to suit the current realities. DSTV has increased subscription prices 2 times this year alone (something they used to do in the span of 3-5 years before), guess what else keeps increasing by the day too? Your guess is as good as mine. wink

So the next time you choose to lie shamelessly and try to shift the blame from your "egbon" who's terrible economic policies have destroyed Nigerias economy barely 6 months after he was sworn in, think again. Not all of us are as shallow as you are.

Elections have dire consequences!

Funny how you would so much think you have made sense with this you epistle.. lol.. my brother, you lack an indepth knowledge on economies... I bet you hv never resarched on the Facto

Throwback:

This is why our refineries never worked, electricity supply was never constant, and Ajaokuta Steel Complex never produced for a day.

We have been mapped by some gl9bal cartels as a market for their own products, so they have ensured with the connivance of local actors, that we remain hooked to foreign supply of our fuels and steel.

Just Imagine that all the Steel used in Oil Wells and Pipelines both on Surface and Subsea, and all the steel used in the construction industry, are all foreign imports when we could have produced them locally.

Yes we are a large market for those products, but a market that is catered for by a refinery or steel mill somewhere in Europe or US.

Who will break this economic colonization?

This is the reality..

Imagine the effects on Naira when our Fuels & steel demands are catered for locally.. it will relieve more than 50% of our constant requirements for fx which will definitely strengthens the Naira & drives down inflation.. I hope we can be let off the hook pretty soon.

You know this because?

Listen, APC has used tribalism and partisan politics to destroy this country.

The moment he decided & chose to publicly support a Party in an election, his credibility has a pressure Body waned..it might have been different situation for him had the Labour Party won... every of his move against the Government would be termed politics & the situation in Imo his hometown where a gubernatorial election is underway may create such suspicion. I doubt this Ajaero will be able to achieve more for Nigerian Workers given the fact that most will not him serious..

If Ajaero decides to take a serious action, they will say Igbos hate Tinubu and want to destroy his government through NLC because Peter Obi lost the last election.

What has this got to do with Tinubu.?.. they should take action in Imo where the fracas happened among the Igbos..

Supporting a vibrant presidential candidate was NLC's and TUC's greatest undoing. It has never happened since 1999.

He could have subtly support his Candidate without being publicly partisan.. he has the right.. he also has the right to publicly support a political party but this not wise as Labour Union leader.. there will consequences if the party he supports looses... whenever he tries to ''fight for workers" he can be accused of playing opposition politics.
Politics / Re: Is The INEC’s IREV Portal Truly Very Useless And Not Compulsory For Collation.?? by yemex04(m): 6:39am On Oct 28, 2023
BluntCrazeMan:
The Supreme Court based its Judgement about the INEC’s IREV Portal on the Clause-93 of the INEC-Regulations alone (even without making any references to the Electoral-Act) and thus, they went ahead to conclude that since there are other possible alternatives provided inside the Clause-93 of the INEC-Regulations which can be used in the absence of IREV-Portal Results, then, the IREV Portal cannot be considered as compulsory.

Is that really true??
Is that truly what the INEC-Regulations meant in that Clause-93??

Before we get to Clause-93,, let us first read Clauses-38, & 48 of the same INEC-Regulations..

This means that,, immediately the Clause-38(ii) is carried out by the Presiding Officer, we are expecting to see the uploaded results appearing INSTANTLY on the IREV Portal.,, because it is going to be used to carry out the task that is specifically specified in sub-clause-48(a)....

***(This continues to make me wonder why we couldn't see even the successfully “exported” and uploaded results there and then at the polling units before the Presiding officers left the venue of the election - until after several hours after the Presiding Officers had left.)*
.
.

The Provisions of sub-Clause-48(a) stands alone on its own. It specifically specified that COLLATION CAN ONLY OCCUR FOR ANY POLLING UNIT RESULT if the accreditation data is cross-checked with the BVAS of that polling unit, and the voting results cross-checked with the electronically transmitted results. If a Polling Unit Result doesn't fullfil these two criteria, it cannot be collated.
THERE ARE NO ALTERNATIVES PROVIDED HERE..
It means that, even if the hard-copies of the polling units are there, collation of such Polling-unit would still no go on with the rest of the polling units that has the criteria complete.
This is exactly what the Section-64 of the Electoral-Act-2022 clearly prescribed..
***(Nevertheless, let us continue to read further, so that we can have a balanced conclusion on this.)*

Then, in sub-clause-48(b); the INEC-Regulations made it clear that Collation had already started and had already passed some levels of collation. That is why it mentioned “LOWER LEVEL OF COLLATION”.. Therefore, the INEC-Regulations intended that “Collation Officers” - after collating their results (and still cross-checking them again according to the Electoral-Act:S-64(4b)) should also transmit it ELECTRONICALLY too..
**(Please go back and read that sub-clause-48(b) again)
This sub-clause-48(b) clearly means that it is not only the POLLING-UNIT RESULTS that should be transmitted electronically.

Then the sub-clause-48(c) refers to the ABSENCE of all forms of electronically transmitted results. Whether from the polling unit or from any level of collation.

As earlier stated for sub-clause-48(b), the Clause-93 made it very clear that Collation had already started, and had passed some levels of collation,, and it didn't say anything that countered the cross-checking of the POLLING-UNIT RESULTS with the electronically transmitted results as specified in sub-clause-48(a).

Clause-93 clearly referred to “HARDCOPIES OF COLLATED RESULTS FROM THE IMMEDIATE LOWER LEVELS OF COLLATION”.
It didn't refer to Hardcopies of Polling Units Results. This means that, the Condition for the Collation of any Polling Unit Results as outlined in sub-clause-48(a) still stands unchanged.

Thus, Clause-93 is saying:
“If some or all of the original INEC hardcopies of the collated results from the immediate lower levels of collation are not available, the collation officer can use the electronically transmitted collated results from these immediate lower levels, or use the photos of the COLLATED RESULTS FROM THE IMMEDIATE LOWER LEVELS as uploaded to the IREV..
And if these two options are not available, then the duplicate hardcopies of the COLLATED RESULTS FROM THE IMMEDIATE LOWER LEVELS can be obtained from the Police, or from agents of political parties..
And again,, this doesn't stop or affect the very first criteria set out in sub-clause-48(a).

In Summary.
1. The INEC-Regulations made it very clear that the only condition for any polling unit to be collated is if the Accreditation Data in the results sheet is confirmed with the data inside the BVAS, and the voting results confirmed with the electronically transmitted results. There are no alternatives provided.
If a Polling Unit doesn't have these two, it cannot be collated.

2. After collation, the collation officers are to also transmit their COLLATED RESULTS electronically too..,, although, this is not compulsory according to the INEC-Regulations,, since there are alternatives for this option.

First or foremost, once the Supreme Court has taken a position on a matter, it becomes the law.. Anything contrary can not be deemed to be right.

Secondly, I have read through the Regulations & electoral act & I can comprehend that snapping & uploading the form EC8A(which is physically available)on IREV is not electronic transmission of results.. Electronic transmission is done directly to the INEC server not IREV portal.. IREV portal is meant for public to view not for collation. You too reason through, how easy will it be to wait & check through IREV portals to start downloading loads of PDF documents for collation when you have exactly same document physically? IREV is meant to be resorted to if there's dispute among Parties at the collation centre on the form EC8A physically presented by the Presiding Officer.

Again, the Regulations you put here did not make IREV portal results compulsory for Collation, it makes form EC8A the most important which is available the the Presiding Officers, Parties Agents, Police Officers & the IREV Portal....

My Observation is that many have been assuming the IREV uploaded results is the electronically transmitted is results.. it is not.

This judgement in favor of Tinubu and APC against the overwhelming evidence of perjury and forgery which should automatically disqualify Tinubu is a verdict on Nigeria. With what that happened today, Nigeria's fate is sealed as a failed nation devoid of morals or dignity.

Tinubu's win at the supreme court is a boost for criminality and everything bad in Nigeria.Students can now proceed to forge academic records without any consequences. Politicians vying for political office can present forged documents to INEC and win election without any consequences.

Tinubu's victory at the supreme court is the final nail to the death of our constitution and what is left of our moral compass as a nation. If Nigerians don't protest this injustice done to them then it is a sign of acceptance and we have no reason to complain when labelled as a failed nation or evil nation. It is also glaring that there is nothing left to hold on to as far as Nigeria's international image is concerned.....

it not about logic here bro. there's a precedence case here between Obj vs Buhari in 2003 where it was affirmed that you don't need to win Abuja but 25% is compulsory

There is no such precedence... the case had to do with Ogun State votes that was cancelled in the said election.. The Court still affirmed Obasanjo's election because minus Ogun Votes, he still had majority of vote cast, scored 25% votes in 2/3 of 36 States & FCT.. There was not dispute in FCT.

How can Supreme Court say that 25% of the vote isn't compulsory in Abija? Well, I’ve been maintaining a studied silence.

The PEPT judges went so low that even Tinubu supporters were dumbstruck. So, there was no need reacting to it.

I don’t know how conversant you are with our laws but you know if they things they said are upheld by the Supreme Court, we would be setting a very dangerous precedent for ourselves.

But I guess it’s all good since it serves Tinubu’s purpose.

About what you said about BBC’s reportage on Tinubu Diploma….

I totally agree with you that anyone reporting on the CSU case will report what the registrar said as the official position.

But my question still remains, was the authenticity of the Tinubu’s Diploma the only offshoot of the CSU certificate saga?

Why is BBC closing its eyes to other obvious questions begging for answers?

Isn’t that bias?

Why is BBC closing its eyes to other obvious questions begging for answers?

Well they(BBC)did mention contacting Tinubu or his aides for clarification on the supposed Questions but didn't get Response before the press time.

Again, the headline & the details of the reportage were in order in my Opinion.. They simply said "There is no Proof Tinubu forged his CSU Certificate" fact checking the whole Transcript of the Deposition, there is indeed no proof that he forged his certificate but instead, there is a substantial Proof by the Testimony of the Registrar that he attended & graduated from the School.. So by the deposition & their supposed findings they couldn't have said "there's a proof"

So they did a balance & non partisan report on the subject matter unlike what we have around..

Normally, there should be no need for any BBC or CNN to get the fact of the CSU matter after seeing the Affidavits & Deposition from the School Authority. But since some Nigerians must keep playing the scenario of a forgery that clearly never existed in their Heads, BBC as a media outlet with the responsibility to factually inform the larger audiences who genuinely desire same has done well by summarizing the contents of the long Transcripts of the Deposition since it may be difficult for some to comprehend the raw letters of the Question & Answer Session.. Apparently it is working fine as even Kperogi has been seen to take 360 degree turn.
