I didn't want to go there but you leave me no choice. Intellectual response my backside. What was intellectual about the manner of death and destruction visited on Southerners since the 60s? Hausa/Fulani muslims have been responsible for many acts of death and destruction in the North. Should i remind you of Boko haram, the cartoon riots, the pageant riots, etc. I do not need to enlighten anyone on this thread about these acts. W are all aware. Do not come to this forum crying like a baby like you are an innocent victim. We all know the main guilty party in all these senseless killings.

It would not suffice for you to make accusations without anything substantial to back up your arguement by way of a confirmed report or evidence. Moreover, all that you have stated are simply vague and ambiguous without any definite mention of incident. The Boko haram issue was an affair between some radical person posing behind the identity of muslims and government forces. The cartoon riots, as you choose to refer to them, were protests over a deliberate insult aimed at the global muslim world. The peagants riots, as you call them, were protests to question the rationale of a female journalist's motive for issueing derrogatory and inciting statements against the Prophet for demanding that the pangant should not be held during the month of fasting in a muslim dominated region of the country. All these have no business with issues of religion. If I get you right, you are trying to justify the alleged massacre of, harmless and unsuspecting men, women and children as some form of compensation for the loss of lives over an alleged incident that took place even before you set foot on earth. It is this same line of thinking that has engulfed the Plateau. SO, HELP US GOD against wolves in sheeps' skin.

@edoyad

Yusufi you must be high on solution like your brothers. The perpetrators in of the kuru killings should be brought to book but what the people who started the trouble should be awarded the Bin Laden medal of honour i guess ?

What trouble are you refering to? Please do not insult my intellectuality by making comments that cannot be substantiated with references from credible reports. If you know what you are writing, simply refer the house to it instead of casting insults on me. Yet, you would accuse others of pre-meditating violence. Wonder what makes you different if your first sentence in response to an observation carries so much venom. Better still, maybe I should state that the plateau state government should rather protect the perpertuatotrs and encourage such mob actions as the end justifies the means in order to please you and your likes to the deteriment of peaceful co-existence. You cannot fool a sane person towards your line of thinking. GUESS WAT! I also heard from MTN that a church filled with worshippers has just been burnt down during early morning mass today at Auchi. Oya! Mobilize your soldiers to the nearest muslim community & unleash your nuclear weapons on them since everything makes factual information to you. I HOPE YOU ARE HAPPY NOW.

Most of the claims about the outbreak of violence in northern Nigeria could for now be concieved as mere speculations. I am currently resident in Kaduna and so far, there has been none of such attacks reported anywhere within the state. My friends that are situated in other neighbouring states of Abj, Kano, & Zamfara have also confirmed the absenece of such reports as muslim traditional and religious leaders are battling it out with locals to curtail the spill over of the Jos crisis. Repraisal attacks as being pronounced can never go un-noticed in the north. My fear is that in as much as the recent massacare or alleged ethnic cleansing of an entire population of the Hausa/Fulani tribe in the village of Kuru Jantar in Jos is capable of not just instigating a repraisal attack up north, but it could also distabilise the entire national polity if action is not taken in good time to bring the perpetuatotrs to book. The locals from virtually all the states in the north have got family relatives that were brutally murdered in that village which was never crisis-prone as reports have it that the attacks were carried out by berom natives from outside the community.

I just pray that the Plateau state Govt cooperates with security operatives to fish out the culpable persons or else ,

In as much as you really do not deserve any intellectual response, kindly update the house on the facts of the alleged attack on worshippers on the said Sunday stating your reference of course. Let us into the details of the particular church and the situation that ensued thereafter coz even the state's Police Comissioner that tendered the official statement has not been able to substantiate same. I do not need a herbalist to inform me that the statement was premature & pre-meditated

@ Kaecy5
Its really saddening to read comments like yours. It only goes a long way to affirm that the strategy adopted by the Plateau State govt into makin the crisis seem religious in order to gain undeserved solidarity has taken the better part of you. I really hope that the joy you derive from the massacare does not turn out to be the source of your greatest nightmare ever. If you are so blood thirsty, then I suggest you seek for help at the appropriate quarters.

My heart truly bleeds not for the dead but for those who rejoice at the fact that the massacre of an entire village where even harmless women, children & babies were brutally murdered en mass translates into some sort of victory for Christainity. I do not consider such acts to be in line with the core tenets of the Christain religion. Moreover, it is a calculated attempt into concealing a pre-meditated ethnic cleansing of the Hausa/Fulani who are pre-dominantly muslims on the grounds of political and economic tussle which has been well planned from the highest level by the so called indigenes to displace the settlers & cripple their economic endeavours thereby forcing them to exile. My prayer is for all to unite, condem & expose the indentities of these architects of satanic plots before the situation is being mis-interpreted to be a religious crisis as is already being concieved by some supposedly knowledgeable persons on this forum and assumes a full blown religious crisis capable of inflamming the national polity. I plead for calm & restraint from our muslim brothers & request that they inform & educate fellow brothers on the underlying motive of the crisis in opposition to false claims of religion which is purely aimed at concealing the truth in an attempt to gain solidarity from the christendom.
Politics / Genocide Reported In Kuru Village Of Jos by Yusufi(m): 12:17am On Jan 24, 2010
For those who consider earlier articles & editorials of planned cleansing of the Hausa/Fulani tribe in Jos to be mere speculation, they are in for a shocker. Copy and paste link on browser or click on link below.

For now, it is yet to assume a religious dimension but failure on the part of govt to bring the perpetuarors to book would lead to a serious escalation of the crisis to be felt across northern Nigeria. it is time for action on the part of govt & prayers on the part of the ordinary citizens.

@ Gunz Blazing

It seems like you are one of those that tend to believe all that you read on the pages of news papers without further recourse to further analysis. I had lived in Jos for a while & can categorically say that you do not have any iota of knowledge regarding the so called indigenes of Plateau. Majority of the men folks esp the middle aged to older ones hardly ever engage in meaningful economic activities as in most cases, their wives happen to be the ones that sustain the families tru farming & other petty trades like selling of roasted corn etc. As for the men, they spend most of their time drinking palm wine. Moreover if u re very familiar wit d Plateau, u wldn't doubt the fact dat the major business merchants in Plateau re of Hausa/Fulani ethnicity. Speakin of poverty, I can confirm to you that most of those persons you term to be beggars are more financially endowed than most of us on this forum coz they invested heavily in real estate, agriculture & animal farming back in their respective home towns. The begging aspect is simply brisk business for them. Also, the extent of economic activities in Kano state far exceeds those of any other state in the federation xcept for the regular big players of Lagos, Port harcourt & probably Oyo state. So, the average Hausa/Fulani is by far more entrepreneural and financially independent than the indigenes of Plateau. You dnt have to believe me coz its easier for you to simply digest wat you read on the pages of dailies. Good luck with that.
Politics / Re: Jos Crisis Again by Yusufi(m): 2:59pm On Jan 21, 2010
What baffles me about the vast majority of the youthful generation is that most of us do not even now how to analyse situations and tend to jump into conclusions merely by glancing tru pages of dailies without proper insight into circumstances that could lead to possible happenings. There is no way on earth anyone can satisfactorily convince me that the state government is not in the know regarding the incessant crises that take place in Jos every now and then. If it is certain that some highly placed politicians and business moguls within the state and beyond are the ones responsible for the chaos as being insinuated by the government of plateau state, they would be doing themselves and the citizenry of the Federal Republic of Nigeria a great deal of favour by exposing them, & charging them to court for onward prosecution as anything short of this would infer the government's involvement in the pre-meditated crises. Moreover, Plateau is a PDP state vastly controlled by the indigenes & should as such have no problems in exposing and prosecuting perpetuators especially if they are considered to be of opposing parties & ethnicity.
Politics / Re: Jos Crisis Again by Yusufi(m): 9:29am On Jan 21, 2010
I believe, going by the most recent census, there are more xtians and muslims livin in Kano than in Jos. So, the big questions is why aren't they killing each other at the slightest provocation to the extent of degenerating into a full blown ethno-religious crises?

The reason is not far fetched from the fact that the government of Kano state has been able to provide the enabling environment and security for all businesses to thrive irrespective of whether their promoters are so called settlers or indigenes. Infact, the influx of entrepreneurial "settlers" into Kano decades back happens to be one of the reasons why it is considered to be the economic hurb of northern Nigeria. In order words, all enterpreneurs are encouraged to conduct their affairs so far they contribute to the creation of employment opportunities and improve the lot of the masses. On the other hand, insider-accounts have it that the indigenes and government of the day in Plateau are aggrieved by the fact that the vast majority of trade activities have always been and are promoted by the Hausa/Fulanis whose fore-fathers were also engaged in same and as such feel threatened and insecure by their domination of its economy. It is for this and so many other reason that a conspiracy for the indigenes to take over the economic affairs of their state was embarked upon in all sorts of fashion. Nigeria of course, being wat it is, always carries a disguised ethno-religious tone to all forms of dispute in an attempt to gain recognition and sympathy. IN SUMMARY, THE GOVT. OF PLATEAU IS ENGULFED IN SENTIMENTS AND SHEER MOCKERY AT THE CORE ESSENCE OF DEMOCRATIC VALUES.

The only possible solution is for the government to train & economically empower its rather un-entrepreneurial indigenes rather than encourage them to nurse jealousy and hatered towards the progressive settlers. Jang is in my definition an epitome of a local warlord. Nemesis & time would surely catch up with him for all the blood-shed that he is purpoted to have condoled & master-minded because he is a precise definition of FAILURE!!!

U have to understand that the ways of God are and would certainly not be the ways of man. If the very God that is contained in the sripture as The Boundless Creator whose existence cannot be humanly comprehended is that which you are refering to, then u hav got urself all mixed up.

First, u need to have a thorough understanding of destiny, the concept of pre-determined free will and God's position regarding destiny.

Point of correction. From my little knowledge of Financial Mgt, debt capital aint in anyway cheaper than equity capital simply because returns on debt equity carries a fixed rate of interest while equity capital is kinda discretionary and the returns on such equities are based on the performance of the business concern. Decisions regarding the combination of both equity and debt capital are a function of the ability of the business undertaking to earn relatively high earnings that could substantially absorb interest expenses on debt capital and dividends on equity capital. In other words, its a question of prospective performance. One other thing is that debt equity isn't favoured if your perceived Returns on Capital Employed (ROCE) is lower than Interest on debt equity to be employed i.e. cost of capital. It will only amount to a loss should such a situation prevail. U only consider debt equity if from your projections, u re convinced that the Returns on Capital Employed will turn out higher than interest on debt capital i.e. Returns on capital exceeds cost of capital.
