oluwaseunla: Thanks. Already did the CTS myself. Your preference is noted. Just FYI, it's the last run of the facelift B5s so pretty similar to the B6 models. 1 Like |

Got an Audi A3 1999, 1.8 (AGN) 20v A/T. All systems work perfectly except the tranny. PRND321 lit up like a Christmas tree yesterday. Transmission seems to be in limp mode and starts in 3rd. Will only shift to 4 th under hard acceleration at about 4000rpm. Help needed Siena. Thanks! |

As usual we will keep trying to defend the indefensible. While the mob action by the South Africans was wrong, their greviances are genuine. Why can't we ever tell ourselves the unvarnished truth? A lot of Nigerians in SA are drug dealing scum plain and simple. How people make excuses for such sorry excuses for human beings is frankly beyond me. At 9:52 minutes of the video below, could someone kindly tell me where that tall drug-dealing lout is from? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZJ1w9-Umcw 1 Like |

I find the idiot's stupidity insulting. Who knows, he might just claim he's Steve Jobs next. Tell you he needs your account details at the pearly gates. 1 Like |

@OP Quite sadly, I must say that either you are playing the ostrich, or just being plain deceptive. I have lived in northern Nigeria and occasionally witnessed completely unprovoked attacks against Christians. I have seen my educated Muslim peers salivating over some horrible videos of beheadings in the Middle East and Nigeria. I have seen disagreements over something as trivial as a soccer match result in mob action against an "infidel". Most Christians that have spent some time in the North have been serially traumatised by the perennial crises and their attendant murder sprees over every thing from an eclipse of the moon, to the Danish cartoon issue. I have witnessed thinly veiled hatred that sometimes results in frightening outbursts of religious mania from Muslims whom you claim are against "unprovoked violence". I do have a few Muslim peers whom I'm proud to call my friends, but the "bad eggs" are in the overwhelming majority. Sir, kindly take your missive to the place it's needed most. Take it to your people who hold on to hatred as the only crutch in their lives. Take it to those whom always promise Christians things like "By the next crisis, we'll finish all of you". People who premeditate violence and glory in murder and savagery. Our ears are tired of hearing your words while we bury our brothers. 10 Likes |

I guess it's a good thing that the persuasion of the author is known. I wonder what he'll say about the Palm Pre and WebOS; an OS I believe had tremendous potential. His article is an unwilling acceptance of the runaway success of the Android OS. If Palm had succeeded with the Pre. So, so hardware, brilliant OS, all it needed was time to mature. Sighs... |

Pandora's Box has been opened, and Northern Nigeria is fast heading to the point of no return. Whatever lame rhetoric the governors of these states are spouting will not solve their problems. They keep wringing their hands and pointing fingers at phantom enemies while their states gradually but surely slip into irredeemable anarchy. |

@Topic This might just be it for Nokia. The shove from thumb-twiddling indecision to a truly profitable platform. They've always had the potential for greatness, and now the latent potential is becoming visible once again. Really looking forward to this... |

@OP What you have there is called an Intel Classmate PC. Intel's answer to the OLPC which was based on hardware from "the " rival manufacturer. Your Classmate PC should be running either Windows XP, Metasys Classmate 2.0 for the Classmate PC, or Mandriva Linux 2010. Your password issue leads me to conclude it's either of the last two. Try and Google "password recovery" on your OS. Luck! @Maleeq How you dey? |

@OP Call the Customer Care line as someone suggested. I really wonder at the derision that followed a simple question. For all the laughing jackasses, MTN does have a framework in place for data transfer/sharing. It just hasn't been implemented yet. |

otokx: How is it that a cable buried thousands of kilometers under water gets cut every other month now? Do people or perhaps aliens go there to cut it? Could be that a vessel dropped anchor and damaged the cable. My opinion though. 1 Like |

The Mercury Villager is a rebadged Nissan Quest. To answer your questions, they are basically the same car apart from a few cosmetic differences. Yes, they do share spare parts. |

Compensation is not the issue right now. They should do something about the speed. It's worse than horrible. |

Utter rubbish! When will Glo get serious about offering world class services? Over 20 million subscribers, yet no backup plan in case of fibre issues. And they expect to be taken seriously? Sad.... |

Second Generation Intel Core processors? Is that a joke or was this piece taken from a 2011 article? Elsewhere Sony announced the launch of the new s13, s15, etc. All based on the Third Gen Ivy Bridge processors. Sell that crap somewhere else! 2 Likes |

@rman, Nicely balanced responses there. However, the question being asked by most prospective users of the service is a very simple one. Are the time-based bundles truly unlimited? The answer to that is an unqualified NO. Fair usage policies still apply to these plans. Simple case would be the 2 hour bundle which is throttled once you get to 100mb usage. As to all the other "my Mercedes is bigger than yours" arguments, choose what works for you. |

The time-based plans are throttled after a certain amount of data has been used. For the 250 naira 2 hour package, this happens once you hit 100mb. I'm not quite sure of the rest though. Once this threshold is reached, the speed will NEVER exceed 140kpbs. |

@OP I admire your honesty. I'd much prefer to have someone around me who makes me a better person. Not someone who insists on lying to my face while agonizing about my looks in her heart. |

@Ryan Known cases right? Really wish i'd seen all this much earlier. I would've been saved a lot of unnecessary grief. @All Sometimes, this preorder thing really isn't worth it. It's not the cash really, just the harrowing nightmare of endless excuses. Best of luck to y'all, and please look very carefully before you leap. Don't make the same mistake i made. |

Pretty similar to the reasons why Symbian-Guru.com was discontinued. Baffling resistance to change from leading tech players. |

Do people intentionally advertise their car's model year wrongly? I'm at a loss as to how the vehicle advertised here could be marked as a 2001 e-class when it's not. You have someone advertising a late '90s model Mercedes as a 2001 model. What happened to the revised tail lamps or the multifunction steering wheel or any of the other numerous visual changes Mercedes made from the 2000 model year? The responsibility is first on the buyer to know what he's selling and be honest about it. |

"Does anyone else share my sense of irony now that China, a country renown for manufacturing the most shoddily constructed and downright deadly crap ever seen on this planet, suddenly owns Volvo, the poster child for quality and automotive safety? From exploding baby food to producing vehicles that would embarass a trabant dealer. To add insult to industrial-design injury, the Chinese also seem incapable of hiring anyone who actually speaks some English in order to produce the owner's instruction documents. I can just see the owner's manual for the 2012 Volvo-Geely Windblown Monkey Happiness model and the introduction: "Placing the turn key device in the vehicle orifice will produce much delight and excitement for all payment customers, " I've bought my last Volvo." Taken from C/D Letters (July) My humble self couldn't have put it any better! |

toladop: The N8 does have a droolworthy spec-sheet but I think the design is a bit garish. Maybe they should have taken the minimalist design route (my opinion). Symbian has a got a whole lot of new gloss splashed on it in the form of Symbian^3. Yet, massage it all you want, the OS is showing its age and should be retired. Look at what Samsung have done with the Bada OS in such a short time and you'll know Nokia's just playing catchup. After all's said and done, the much abused cliche is still true; "one man's meat, ". |
