- If Nigeria stops imports of refined petroleum products, the pressure on our forex will be reduced by as much as 40% leading to the massive appreciation of the Naira.

- A barrel of crude oil currently sells for about $80 per barrel. With the exchange rate hovering around N1,700 to a Dollar. When pressure is reduced on our forex as a result of an end to imports of refined products, the Naira can appreciate to about N1000 to a USD. That means refineries in Nigeria will need less Naira to buy each barrel of Crude oil. This will lead to a drop in pump prices and inflation.

- by continuing to issue licences to import refined petroleum products, NNPC is killing our economy.

Because the only way for refinery to work is by allowing petrol to be sold at market price...that is why Niger and Ghana who produce crude have working refineries. No effing investor go invest in refinery wey go dey refine fuel at N1000 sell am below N200 in the name of helping the poor. Subaisy money self...government go pay today, next month dem go do shakara for you. That is how we lost our NNPC refineries, when government was skimping on TAM to make subsidy costs cheap, and when money was being poured down a hole to make things worse.

And yes, Dangote can build refinery because he got loans. If he fails to pay back those loans because baba blue dey beg am sell fuel at N200 per liter to help the poor...wetin go happen next...the banks will take over all his lucrative investments elsewhere and pay back their loans. Nothing for Alhaji Aliko at all.

Look, this thing is not about PDP or APC, or whether you supproterd Bulabu and baba tinubu at 2012, or supported GEJ in 2012, or whether you hate poor or love poor. We are in debt from the subsidy, government has even forced CBN to increase debt ceiling aka ways and means to pay for the subsidy it is keeping, and if it agrees to ya demand, the amount of loans taken will go up, and up, as oil becomes more expensive because of rising costs of refining, and because naira is falling thanks to the high level we spend on debts.

How bad is it...Tinubu's partial removal is why we are not spending 150 PER CENT On debt right now.

Here are the stages:

PLOT 1... People rise up to protest against the government..

PLOT 2... The Government repressed protesters. Soldiers fired live ammunition into crowd killing protesters.

PLOT 3... Mob retaliated and burnt down government and political leader's assumed assets.

PLOT 4... Army and police withdrew due to international pressure to guard their own barracks only.

PLOT 5. The mob went after assets and houses of prominent political leaders. Then politicians fled abroad with their families.

PLOT 6... The mob went after assets and lives of the middle class or anyone that has semblance of wealth or comfort..
Estate housing and other middle class were attacked.
Then it degenerated to the lower classes, it became a full scale crime wave, robbery, looting, rape, murder etc.
It became the survival of the fittest.
Remember no more police or army to protect the people.

PLOT 7... Full scale war as opportunists with group interests and ego took over, competing over interests and end up tearing the country apart.

PLOT 8... People flee their homes, became refugees as they flee the country in thousands and millions to become beggars in neighbouring and other countries. Many died to famine and diseases.

PLOT 9... This is no more the 1960s.. The internal wars will be a reoccurring decima with no uniting force -
People's children and young men will be recruited as child soldiers.. The old and feeble will be killed and the women raped and eventually killed when deemed of no use.
