Is Port-Harcourt(a major economic city) part of the plans of PHCN?? Power supply over here is plummeting by d day. We used 2 get 1-4hrs/24 b4. Nw,we dnt even c it anymore.

the most annoying part is that the issues are minor issues, take ilom for instance, a cable cut kept them in darkness for over a week

The corruption there stinks, at a point we started insisting on installing meters, they will charge you 40k on analogue meter, the next morning, it is gone.

nepa installs and removes the same meter in the middle of the night.

I live at Nkpolu Rumuigbo, We don't have power at all. As am typing now my battery is on red, we have not had light for d past 3days. If it will come at all 2hrs till God knows day. The whole of PHC is messed as far as PHCN is concern. The last time I went to Lagos, I forgot that am in Nigeria. Power goes off for few minutes at Abesan Estate.

I live by Alapere Estate, just by Alapere Police Station. Yesterday made it 1 month and 1 week we have been enjoying electricity in my area...Honestly at a time i had to come out of my compound to check the house address to actually confirm if i am in Nigeria. Kudos to Prof. Barth Nnaji. Personally I thank God i was alive to witness steady light in Nigeria for once. Atleast in my area here, we are enjoying electricity more than Ghananians cos Ghananians electricity is nolonger steady like it use to be before... The light situation in my area(Iriebe,PH) has been terrible for the last month and counting,,,things have gotten worse,from having light like 18hrs a day to Like 1 or 0 hours a day....no b say something spoil,.. Nepa abi Phcn no dey try...next thing them go con bring nonsense bill, I no dey pay,make una come cut lite

These are the calibre of garri infested persons injected into a once interesting Nairaland that some of you are frowning on their ban. I strongly recommend a tighter registration measure on here. The traffic will still be much but with much saner people. I can hardly see Beaf, Dayokanu and the rest guys who made Nairaland a fun place to be these days apparently because of the proliferation of this site with these youngsters.

@Op thanks for d thread I was about opening same. It's a shame the guys at PHCN or whateva it is called cannot handle even a "work is progrss". Prior to Barth's departure, I must say power had been so stable that it only went off for 30mins in a day. Barely 24hrs since d Minister bcame "ex" til date, It's becomin a free fall of just about about 15hrs for now. Where are visionless PHCN striking force that wanted Barth out and PHCN sold to them?

There is no light in Adiss Ababa street in Ikorodu since Monday and we have reported to PHCN staff but due to negligence, nothing has been done about it. We had uninterupted supply of electricity when they were on strike but immediately d strike was called off, d story changed and became worse when Prof. Nnaji resigned. I pray they privatize PHCN as soon as posible.

I no most of u will not biliv dis, but in de last four months there hasn't been any form of power failure wey am living. Ask my neighbours.
