@lagusta, you know you're my personal person, you don't have to attack me like that in public Btw, if you have any issues with me, you could just say it or ask nicely, instead of that kinda outburst! Since when have you been willing to say that anyways? That just came out of nowhere! Anyways, I'm probably one of the few people who doesn't feel like I owe anybody anything on Nairaland, so, whether I'm male or female, carpentry student or medical student, old or yound, alive or dead-it ain't nobody's business. You just have to deal with whoever alutacontinua is or face front. I don't owe you an explanation for who I choose to be. If you asked though, I might have explained. And if you just knew me by chance in the real life-fake is probably the last thing i'll be in my life. I find it extremely laughable that someone would use that word to qualify me, it's probably my first! No probs though, just wanted to point it out to you that such outbursts ain't good for your health Lots of love.....ALWAYS! 1 Like |

Have you guys ever thot of nursing science or perhaps going to a nursing school cos as far iam concern after a doctor in a hospital the nurse is next, he/she can asssit during surgery (scrub nurse) they're wide range of speacialties in nursing(cardiothoracic, orthopedic, paediatric, or even being a nurse aneasthesiologist who earns more than a houseman officer in hospitals if you cant do mbbs, you might wonder consider nursing cos both med and nursing are clinical science both are being thot biochem, microbio, anatomy and physiology like med students |

Capableben:As an individual, even as a child, U know what U like doing with great joy. Now, U can't claim 2 love medicine when U don't like Biology and U can't claim U love Law, when U don't like Literature nd Government to start with. U should be a medical Doctor if U passionately Love medicine NOT b'cos ur friends love medicine or Ur parents want U 2 do it! Most pple abandon Medicine 4 other courses when they're dealt with just once by either JAMB or post UTME; they simply are not passionate about it so they can't pretend 2 Love it and that's not where their destinies lie. Simply go 4 what U Love nd would do with joy not what U barely like nd frown on remembering! Other factors are secondary. 4 Likes |

jozeph1: Have you guys ever thot of nursing science or perhaps going to a nursing school cos as far iam concern after a doctor in a hospital the nurse is next, he/she can asssit during surgery (scrub nurse) Don't study nursing thinking that after a doctor, the nurse is next. At the risk of sounding immodest, after a doctor is another doctor. And after that second doctor is yet another doctor. There is no profession that can replace the training and responsibility of a physician/surgeon. Some people carried this thinking and studied other courses because of its "medical" connotation - today they're seeing the reality is different. MBBS is MBBS ! Do your research well. If you want to be a nurse, be a nurse because you want to. That is more important. 7 Likes |

If you wannabe a doctor be a doctor if you wanna be a nurse be nurse but wen strugglin for admission to be a doctor and you cant then think NURSING cos they're better than physiotherapist, antomist and a physiologist if its surgery a nurse can be a doctor's first assistant durin surgery, prescription of drug,a nurse can do that so in a clinical science world medicine and nursing are the core the only difference between a doctor and nurse is the number of years the spend in schools liecence-both doctors and nurses get them to practise salaries:- both are being paid place of work:- both are found within the four corners of the hospital building a hospital isnt complete without a nurse but it is complete without anatomist, physiologist, physiotherapist, etc |

jozeph1: If you wannabe a doctor be a doctor if you wanna be a nurse be nurseNursing is a good course but don't compare nurses with doctors....They are not mates....If u want to be a nurse, then be a nurse.. Most, if not all nurses always behave like this...Trying to prove they are equal to or even better of than doctors...RUBBISH... |

Thewhizzkid1:You totally misconstrued wat @joseph1 sed which was if u try to gain admission into mbbs with no success but u still ave the passion to work in a hospital and help sick ppl do the next best which is nursing which as joseph1 earlier mentioned was more practical than anatomy physiology etc. especially in Nigeria. (i mean wat other reason should we study to bcome health care providers if not to provide adequate care to the unwell). Lastly, i think u sounded arrogant and probably lyk those doctors who treat nurses lyk they dont matter. No wonder ppl are hardly interested in nursing even though they'll be better off as nurses instead of doctors. 1 Like |

iamxay96:M very sorry if I sounded arrogant...I've witnessed on several occasions where nurses insult doctors and tell them they don't know what they're doing..To be sincere, I don't lyk it...They(nurses) behave as if they know it all except few....I know what m saying....Most nurses hate doctors and I don't know why.....One thing about life is that u should be contented with what u have and give honour to whom honour is due...I, myself, respect the nurses..Doctors respect them too...I know nursing is a nice profession but they should know their limits....A nurse is not a doctor and can never be a doctor...Thanks.. 3 Likes |
