Arranged marriage usually involves the parents and relatives of the would-be couple. Most times, marriage is placed in front of them from the get go and the wedding happens within a short time after meeting.

I want to think that these days, arranged marriages does not involve force, rather there is just the introduction and some pressure but at the end, the couple decide whether to go ahead or not.

But I may be wrong. What do you think?

Most or all of the people who get caught up in these arrangments are usually people who have a blind unyeilding obidience to their parents and culture. so for those people they see it as "by force"

I don't know if people are still practicing arrange marriage in Nigeria i am probably wrong.
