Exciting times ahead.
I can see that with the appropriate dose of patience, those in, can be taken to near the 30th boulevard.
...only but a matter of time! wink cheesy cool

I did highlight the inherent potential in Unilever @ N10+ when the coys FRM was far ahead of surrounding risk plus asset price. (ref: VAP in view)

I'm looking at FCMB Q1 2024 result and the published EPS is not making sense. The maths is not mathing. If one divides the profit by outstanding shares the number is approx. 1.45 as against the 5.8 they published.

Abeg can someone else cross check this?

I don't want to believe they will make such an error

Profit attributable to equity holders (N'000) 28,770,276

Weighted average number of ordinary shares in issue ('000) 19,802,710

EPS 5.81

These published numbers dont add up.

Please did they do a conference call?

.....but there's nothing you can post that can alter anything as such....in as much as it's not the mind of Mr. Market itself.

Besides, I read streetinvestor2 also mentioned buying @1.40 when some guys were dumping it at 1.50, then down to 1.40 few trading days ago.

That's even worse. Is it legal to do that?

I've looked through the report and it is not stated anywhere.

Plus, if you do the maths and multiply by 4 you get a different number. I think this was just a very stupid mistake

Court date is next week Monday 24th June.

Meanwhile, someone seems to be gradually accumulating DS/NS.
Maybe a long termer or someone who's seeing value at current price.

Yet another over 200% return (213% to be precise) for the early subscribers of my outline/recommendations and investment guide--Series 1.

Like the construction coy mentioned above, this might be a good time to exit or reduce a proportion of one's stake to lock in profit and book an appreciable CGY.

Yes I know.i am on the positive side because of wale recent actions.

Remember I was equally the person that raised alarm here long ago that the so called minority shareholders that went to court was likely wale left hand to delist.which some people have come to agree with.My reason being why go to court when you could just sell above 7.07 and move on

Then now I ask myself question as street man.
1.If wale still want to delist why release results that will put him back on jse when it pays him better for delisting to still be on suspension.

2.why bring out good results that will make shareholders not to approval for 7.07 at agm since he has not gotten the approval yet.

3His cousin will like to use oando success for political campaign next time as an indigenous company since foreign companies are existing

4.Wale has the opportunity to join the gang of billionaire dollar guys if he plays his card well now on nse like Tony, ote ,rabiu, alhaji.

Note
I am street and reason like street husler.Oando still remains a bet naija stock oh.I am not certain in my assumptions.I am following wale issues on oando on different body language I notice from him or actions

1.45 * 4 = 5.8 though. So it’s probably annualised

Where did you get 1.45 from?

based on the numbers, Q1 eps should be N1.7. or am I missing something?

Oga Agba let me play the devil advocate on the fundamental part of your above thesis (i would leave the technical side to the in house expert like BullBearMarket and others)

Considering that the FX gain are baked in this year (just like last year also, i.e. two year running now) and that the regulator is not allowing distribution from it, do you think those gains would be idle in the books / operations of the banks. E.g would the about a trillion FX gain by UBA (2023&2024 inclusive) be lying down idle (considering its not allowed to be distributed) or it would be employed for further gain like all other capital in its arsenal. if employed for further gain wont that be impacting the bottomline going forward? let assume at current risk free rate of at least 20% as is currently isn't that an extra 200billion impacting the bottom-line going forward for UBA as an example (it would be practically the same for all other banks)?.

Post Forex, do you think UBA will return the current EPS in 2025?

Oga Emma. How far with wapco. This is another stock I have plenty afolabi units. I was happy when it was heading #30
I wanted it below that so I can start averaging up.A lot of money will be going into infrastructure in this government beside security. And no cement no infrastructure. And that is the only cement company that the price is within good band.
I want okumu to touch #300 so I could move it to wapco. Okumu was bought at #50 and have collected plenty dividend

So you noticed that too.
Some folks don't really know how to apply finesse in their approach. ...no form of respect or courtesy while engaging with others.

I think the entitlement mentality was borne out of the fact that many have been so used to getting everything for gratis... so much so that even a simple form of gratitude like thank you, is set aside. cheesy cool

I don't really blame them. But for my nature to want to give and always offer help, which i've freely done for so many years until recently, we won't have such disposition.
Sometimes when I offer help, I do it not for man but for God.

But of course, there are also some great fellows here, with whom I keep open doors, even privately.
