It is completely ludicrous to imagine that a tiny country like North Korea would deliberately place itself on a collision course with american aggression - as you correctly stated North Korea are deliberately being provoked by the United states in order for the US to have an excuse to attack them and divert attention away from their crumbling economy - this method of provocation in order to make an excuse to go to war has been used before by them - they used it on Japan by provoking the japanese to attack their navy at pearl harbour- they did this by placing an oil embargo on japan in order to cripple japan's war machine and slow down japan's invasion of china (which at the time was a US ally)

Bro, the truth is that the Russians understand the dynamics and they know once Syria falls, that's going to cut off the little influence they have in the middle east... And it's also about gas pipeline - NATO needs Syria as well to cut off the Iran-Syria-Hezbollah link... Heck, Syria has the largest population of Russians in the middle east outside Israel(because of the Russian Jews)...

And the other countries esp. Europe needs Russian gas than the other way around... So they're the ones who would jeopardise their gas supply from Russia...
