Am a fan of BB phones though am still using d lower ones and I was planning to venture into androids because they seems to be topping the chart now but this thread has enchanted me and boosted the love I have towards RIM products which was beginning to wean already.

I must say am thrilled reading here that BB still get some games as opposed to the badmouthing a lot of android fanboiz are giving the phone.

That said... I've just acquired a fairly used BB Z10 and I've activated a Glo BB plan but I wanted to upgrade to d latest leaked OS that's suitable for my model (STL100-1) b4 I start enjoying/xploring all d features it came with

And as I've learnt from this thread, it seems I can't upgrade directly, only thru BlackberryLink... I've tried downloading and installing it thru my BB Hotspot. It was downloading till around 60% (or there about) and I left to get something, returned back and I didn't see the interface again... I was like it has finished downloading and has install itself but I could not find d installed file neither did I see it @ d control panel where all installed files are located.

Pls gurus in d house, is there anything am missing? Is there where d file is located other than where all installed files should be? I don't wanna start again only for it 2 repeat what I've just xperienced thereby wasting my MBs. I need you guys help/input here. Thanks!

Also, if there's any other tips (that could be of help to me) that you guys can give, I would really appreciate it.

Bro, dsame happened to me ystaday... I searched d whole of Enugu (@least d major dealers in Enugu lik slot, FineBrothers, etc) town 4 d device but I did not find new one.

I got to know according to those dealers that d device has been lying idle on their shelves and no one wants it some months ago but recently a lot of people are clamoring for it but it seems practically not to be in the market anymore. They were like I was the 3rd guy requesting for it that ystaday.

They said d places likely to see it is d people that sell London/fairly used. After all said and done, I was able to get a fairly used white one.

So, I would suggest you try fairly used if u don't mind using one. You could get one from DiscountBlackberry. D price is practically ok there.

(2). I can't find Instagram in the application world. How can I get it?
(3) Also, how can I get android applications to work on the phone?

Yes...at slot, the Z10 is about one thousand naira cheaper than the Q5, and the last time i checked (5 mins ago),

1. No thats not the latest version. Depending on your network, it should push the lastest update to you (10.2.1.2914)
try to download blackberry link on your PC and check for software updates

2. Instagram is not on BB appworld, the application there which is native for blackberry phones is igrann. search for it
on the other hand, since you already are on 10.2.1.XXXX, install 1mobile and from there simply install the android apps there

3. you dont need to do anything special, just download them and enjoy

I downloaded 526mb of update which was supposed to take me to 10.2.1.2102. but after downloading it started installing up to 800mb of data. I left n it later said installation interrupted. I closed it immediately as I was scared cos I just recently faced upgrading issues n I tot I had lost d fone for good. is it ok if I continue the installation? I noticed here that. 2102. isn't d latest update again. could tht b y my fone was installing more data even tho it hadn't downloaded into my fone? what is your valued advice on this issue. thanks in anticipation of your help.
