Ohh ok...Since you understand and can speak a little bit of it. It just takes living in Asaba, Enugu, Owerrir, Awka, Onitsha, Aba or PH for 1 year and i can assure you that you will master it. I've also not mastered Iggbo language as i mostly grew outside Igboland and i'm thinking of spending at least one year in an Igbo town to mix with people. The Igbo youths around me here are efulefus that's why i rarely associate with them. You'll most likely see me with Yoruba chaps my age than Igbos.

Lies. I know somebody who grew up in Aba and can't speak shït. My cousin grew up in Enugu and can't even speak it to save his life. Even I (who grew up in Lag) have a better shot at identifying as Igbo. One of my close friends was bred and buttered in Asaba and the only thing she knows well is "Chineke me"

Drop all this jare. If you don't put your mind into learning it, you won't learn it.

Yes, it's possible to live in Igboland and not learn much. That's why you'll need to associate with people from the area where you live and communicate with them in Igbo. You can't seclude yourself and hope to learn it. Learning comes with associating and not necessarily living. My mum was born in Lagos and but can't speak a word of Yoruba. That's because most people she associates with are mostlty Igbo women like herself. I also know Yorubas in Lagos who can't speak Yoruba. Most of them live in highbrow parts of Lagos where you don't hear a lot of Yoruba.
