i do have the form, but i want to know if every document provided to the embassy has to be a original one,if i send the original tax returns slip, original bank statement, effadavit, and the photocopy of the restaurant's buisness registration, is it going to be enough evidence for the sponsors financial position. |

hey guys, News Update, don't know if you guys are aware of this developments IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR VISA AND PASSPORT APPLICANTS (09/07/08) The British High Commission in Abuja and British Deputy High Commission in Lagos regrets to inform its customers that it is unable to offer a full visa service in Nigeria until further notice due to an unavoidable technical failure. From 10 July 2008, the Visa Application Centres in Abuja, Ibadan, Ikeja and Victoria Island will only accept applications from the following categories for onward submission to the Visa Section at the British High Commission in Abuja. Urgent and compassionate cases (e.g. medical treatment); Returning residents; Fast Track applicants (not including those applying under the auspices of the Business Express Programme) Settlement for Children or urgent/compassionate settlement cases; EEA Family Permits; Diplomats and Officials; DATV and transit visitors; Long Term Students The reduction in our service is only a temporary measure and we hope to restore a full service to our Nigerian customers as soon as possible. The British High Commission apologises for any inconvenience caused by this disruption and will let its customers know as soon as full service is resumed. Customers who have already submitted their applications before 09 July 2008 to the Visa Application Centres in Abuja and Ibadan should not be effected by this disruption. Also, the passport operation in Lagos will be closed until further notice. Emergency passports will be available to British nationals who already hold a British passport and can confirm their British nationality. Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by Busybody2(f): 10:23pm On Jul 14, 2008 |
chinesedoll: For this academic year, international students from outside the EU can apply from 1st of September 2007 to 30th of June 2008. Any application after the 1st of July 2008, goes straight to the clearing procedure. The only disadvantage of enrolling once the clearing period kicks in, is that it limits one's chances of getting a place on a high-demand course, but does not affect your chance if your course isn't a high-demand one. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries by femigirl(f): 10:50pm On Jul 14, 2008 |
Visa update IMPORTANT NOTICE The British Deputy High Commission in Lagos is currently experiencing a backlog in processing visa applications due to severe failures in their Communications Systems. They are working hard to fix the systems problems, clear the backlog and resume normal service. Following these technical problems the VACs in Victoria Island and Ikeja have been closed from accepting visa applications till further notice. The VACs in Abuja and Ibadan are still fully operational and you can make your application there if you need your visa urgently especially in case of a medical emergency. They appreciate your patience and understanding at this time. |
