And their bombs? Where do their bombs come from?

Most of the explosives are locally-made.

They have these arms and still engage in guerrilla warfare ? These guys are just terrorists who are out to attack non-combatant targets only to be surpressed by the military. If they want to fight the army, they would have called for a convention war !

Not necessarily. Guerrila warfare has been shown to be an effective means of defeating an enemy, particularly if the war is being fought on your own turf (just like the Vietnamese against America). It's not necessarily a sign of weakness, just a battle strategy.

It's a fat lie,you don't need anybody to tell you that.the little arms they have in their arsenal came from Ghadaffi's loot and Nigeria Army armoury during raids.

You call those Guns small arms? Can you think of how many military/police base they have attacked and conquered with those arms you call small arms?

I guess this is what u call small arms.

And you think this is what it takes to win a war ? shocked an army of rag-tag hungry mofos ? Boko haram is good at guerilla warfare and that is why its hard for the military to tame them.

And from where will Boko Haram purchase the helicopter[s]from? oshodi market?helicopters are not things you can buy without people knowing particularly for attack purposes. I don't think even AL-QUEDA uses helicopter.

Abrakhan.:

how do you know?

Most planted bombs can be made locally and from the attacks so far, that's what boko haram has been using. They tucked some in empty cans.

gboss4sure:

Police and military outposts point of correction. The attacks in the metropolis on either military or police commands were done by explosives.

Inik: Those guys were planning something big, we should give kudos to the Jtf and our intelligence forces for cutting them down. Too bad many civilians got into the crossfire

So, you believe they have the capabilities to launch airstrikes, yes? Why would they want to launch airstrikes when they're winning the war with their effective guerrilla warfare strategy?

I honestly believe the Nigerian army is trying to look for an excuse, to be honest.

With the help of Northern sympathizers and supports from greedy southern apologist, they will succeed. Who is afraid of a sovereign national conference? Who says Nigeria is not in bondage, should be shot with a pillow on his/her face. Sometimes I wish OBJ was given the opportunity to seek a third term so he can finally neutralize those islamic terrorist while he strengthens middle beltans that have been suffering for the past decade in the hands of Northern terrorist that only prey when innocent children and women are sleeping.

Bruv, Nigeria is a corrupt country, launching air strike does not mean they will use missile, all that needs to be done is brainwashing an Islamic airforce officer by telling him this fight is for Allah. He will assist in getting a chopper at a northern airforce base, fill it up with explosive and crash the bagger. Who ever thought an army cantonment will be hit in Kaduna? Sympathizers will do anything for allah.

Well they are there believing to come back alive. And I ask why didn't JTF allow them to carryout this attack atleast it will make those they are protecting to appreciate their sacrifice.

what a stupid piece of fiction . Hope this will not come up n any of lecture rooms at the defence academy ,this is probably the most foolish stories from the Nigerian military for years .

Let me tell you something.the problem with Nigeria security agencies is that they believe in their arms;thinking it will solve the problem.what they need to know is how these guys get their arms supply.

Before the leader of boko haram was killed, they weren't sophisticated as this.after his death, alqaeda in the maghreb gave them funds, arms and moral support couple with local sympathisers then you got an unstoppable killer squad on rampage.what the security needs to do is penetrate and infiltrate these guys.proactive not reactive !

Where in the world do terrorists call for a full blown confrontation with a well armed govt army. Every terrorist's main motive is to cause utmost pain and wreck havoc on UN-harmed citizens in order to discredit the ruling govt.

Re: Boko Haram Plans Air Strike- JTF by ZeusI: 11:13pm On May 10, 2013
This tale is mired in falsity and utmost 'Western style'(if not sponsored) propaganda, exaggerated lie to justify mass murder. But...do Northerners deserve sympathy? Sins of the Fathers...*Biafra and Ogoni land massacre*

Wait until this airstrikes happen then we would all come here again to prove our various conspiracy theories #fact....We Nigerians are always pessimistic about everything , we never believe anything(can't blame us though)...but then always try to remember that this guys put their lives on a very thin line everyday just because of me and you.....what if it was true that they planned air strikes?!

So would they need all these arms to cause fear or attack non-combatant targets ? Like I told you ,the highest they can do is adopt guerrila tactis either on armless civilians, police or the army.boko haram doesn't need a helicopter to instil terror,so the Nigeria Army should stop lying to Nigerians .

I believe they can afford one or two helicopters to launch a simple small scale strike. They are gradually losing the guerrilla warfare, a lot of their fighters have been killed and their bases destroyed by the Jtf. Recently Jtf have stepped up the onslaught against them. That is why the amnesty issue was brought in to distract the attention of the Fg to buy them time to recoup their losses, restrategize and regroup to fight again.
I agree that the story is a bit exaggerated but it is true.

Bwahahahahaha

I doubt the Nigerian army has up to 200 airmen who are capable of launching air strikes from an aircraft... Scrap that, I doubt they have up to 100... grin And that's a country of 160 million people.. grin

These people are clowns!! He should have added cruise missiles to it!! grin grin
