'I was starting to think you would just keep on staring at me and not invite me' Chidinma said as she passed by me into the sitting room.

I chuckled and then replied;

'You can't blame me for being astonished by your new amazing look' and I wasn't flattering.

'hmm, its just my way of saying all old things are passed away and this is the new me' She replied blushing.

'hmm, what old things in particular?'

'ermm, my boyfriend or better still, my EX-boyfriend and a couple other things'

'hmm, oh... Ok, that's good, I told you that I'll make sure you forget about him, didn't I?'

'Yes, you did' she too a deep breath and said 'you really did' emphasizing on the 'really'.

I just smiled in response.

'are we going to stand for the rest of the day? Or are we waiting for something?' she asked, bringing the fact that we had both been standing for quite a while when there was a couch.

'Oh! My bad, please sit. You don't need to ask na, we have passed that level of courtesy' I replied.

'have we?' she asked, rather rhetorically but I replied in the affirmative anyway.

'ermm, I'm so sorry but I don't think there would be anything I can offer you in the freezer, see another why I told you not to....'

'no problem, I just came to see you and not take refreshments, seeing you is just enough refreshment for me' She replied and I wasn't sure of what to reply so I just kept quiet, funny enough, she kept quite too.

I tried thinking and bringing up a topic we could gist on but for the first time in a long time I was out of gists, topics and pickup lines.

Just that split minute of total silence and no hope of either of us breaking the silence, I guess God decided to intervene and help me out, He touched the heart of PHCH and just like when God said 'Let there be light', behold! There was light, and about 100 wattz of it radiated from the light blub screwed on the celling right above us.

I couldn't help but murmur; 'thank you Jesus', in sincere appreciation.

'ermm, do you want to watch a movie?' I asked after switching on the fan.

'yea, sure. Which movies do you have?'

'ermm, funny enough, I don't know, my sis copied some new movies from her laptop on my flash for me, gimme a minute let me go and get it'

'no p, don't take too long tho'

I didn't bother replying, I went to the room and took my flash drive from my monostrap and then plugged it into the USB port at the side of the T.V.

Moments later the flash drive loaded and the contents which were compatible with the T.V appeared on the screen.

Chidinma didn't even let us check out other movies before she said;

'Oh My God! You have got spartacus season two? I've been looking for that movie since like forever'

I didn't quite get what all the fuss for a semi-pornogräphic movie was all about, but at that time the season two just came out barely a week ago and I wondered how come my sister already had it. Good thing she copied it to my flash, I thought.

'ok, then, spartacus it is, but the movie would be really long and there is no way we can finish it today' I replied.

'anywhere we stop, we stop, Maybe I'll bring my laptop next time so I can copy the rest' she suggested.

'Ok, then' I replied and played the movie.

The movie started with a recap of the bloody escape of spartacus, crixcus and the rest of the gladiators from the house of Batiatus in Capua.

The idea of watching the movie while chewing something, preferably popcorn popped into my head and I had an Idea, a funny one tho.

I took an excuse from Chidinma who was already so focused into the movie that she probably didn't even notice I had left. Then I grabbed my wallet and went to a shop outside the lodge.

I bought a family size 'yale' cabin biscuit, milk, sugar and three sacheat of cold water, and then headed back home.

I got a plate from the kitchen and two spoons and went back to the sitting room and then Chidinma finally noticed me;

'whats that?' she asked, pointing the nylon bag I held.

'watch and see' I replied, feeling smart and coded.

I simply emptied half of the content of the biscuit and then added the milk, sugar and water expertly, to make sure nothing was too much or not enough.

She looked at me with rapt attention like I was performing a magical trick in which she wanted to understand.

Whereas, It wasn't magic, but just one of those things I learnt from boarding school.

When I was done I relaxed my back comfortably and then handed her a spoon, and without telling her anything else, I started eating and tried concentrating at the movie.

I wasn't surprised when she dipped her spoon in the plate and tasted it and was like;

'wow! This is nice'

I just winked at her.

Then feeling kindof romantic I tried feeding her with my spoon and she gladly ate it, then she fed me too, I teased her a couple of times by acting like I wanted to feed her then eat it and we laughed so much totally forgetting the movie we were watching.

As expected, love was in the air.
