@bily. for your purpose MTN, starcomms are good. MTN is consistent and offers better and reliable connection speed through out the day.

mtn is the fastest and the MOST UNRELIABLE internet i have ever used. i have it at home and use it personally so its far from consistent grin

if this mtn is your definition of consistency and u say starcomms evdo is consitent, i may have to run fast from starcomms grin

all im asking for is advice on the predicatablity of the starcomms izap. i just need something i can b sure wen i want to use it, its available dat all. no fight ok. wink

yes, i mean u wont be able to browse at all. but wen u r browsing, the speed is always constant. so apart frm the 3gig limit, the problem with mtn is it can work today n decide not to work tomorrow. person go need prayer n fasting for am grin

according to the article in the link below, i dont think it does really matter wat device u guyz are using for d starcomms

so i guess starcomms is better for u
Re: Starcomms Izap - Is It Really Fast As Starcomms Claim? by flyuche(m): 3:28pm On Dec 08, 2008
@bily.apology. whether MTN or starcomms, if your location is well covered, you got no problem. on the the price side, starcomms is more affordable. their EVDO works! abeg support this nigerian company.
Re: Starcomms Izap - Is It Really Fast As Starcomms Claim? by DoubleN(m): 9:20pm On Dec 08, 2008
Starcomms is still far better than MTN despite all their short comings. The only Problem with starcomms is that their bandwidth is not evenly distributed. As for network connectivity its very reliable.
Re: Starcomms Izap - Is It Really Fast As Starcomms Claim? by lynxnoon(m): 10:55pm On Dec 08, 2008
a friend of mine was using nokia 3110c as modem for mtn 3g;he decided to try it out with my fone(nokia 6120c) due to inconsistency
on changing it to my fone it took time to connect, afta connecting n trying to download a file of about 30mb it stopped browsingn we cudnt connect again undecided undecided
Wel as for me i feel for now starcom evdo is 1 of d best broadband available(if not d best grin) i tink dey shud just try to expand dia facilities to accomodate d customers on d network
