first,the prices of the cars bought for fashola have not been disclosed on this thread so there is no way of ascertaining how much it cost.however,if we are to assume you are right and the LASG indeed purchased those cars for 300million naira each,it can only amount to a corrupt act if the prices were inflated or if the cars were not budgeted for.seeing as fashola is the number one citizen of lagos state,it goes without saying that his security is just as important as that of the president.lagosians voted for him and are therefore willing to bear the cost of his security.

This is in sharp copntrast to stella oduah who is appointed by the president to oversee a ministry on his behalf.in sane climes,madam oduah should be made to face prosecution and the full weight of the law should be visited upon her

Fashola has shown to us all that one doesn't
need the effizzy of long convoys and sirens to exert influence and command respect.I want to believe lagos state can afford to acquire an aircraft for its governor.the fact that in almost 15years of democracy,the governors of lagos state have no considered the acquisition of a jet as priority speaks volume about concerned they are about perception.they might be corrupt,but they are definitely not brazen about it.

As long as Nigeria is divided along tribal lines corruption will remain.
As long as people defend people of their own tribes when they have done wrong corruption will remain.
As long as the political parties create a division amongst the people, then corruption remains..

Is it really difficult for people to see that corruption can only be effectively stamped out when people unite to fight it?

Do we have a state governor without an armored range or bigger in Nigeria. If a governor in the desert with a million population, who can not even pay bills without allocation from Abj has a similar vehicle, BRF equally deserves it. My problem is if the invoice is over inflated.

1) The Cars are not for Fashola, they belong to the Lagos State Government
2) The constitution recommends bullet proof cars for all executive governors of states, and the executive president to ensure maximum safety of the executive staff
3) Fashola Is a very mobile governor, and he's always on the road. He needs the best protection possible as the governor of the most populated state in nigeria
4)The cars were bought legally, approved by the state house of assembly and do not go against any constitutional provisions
5) The cars of other governors are averagely more expensive
6) Cased Closed

Is this not the same range rover fashola has been using right from the first tenure. I don't know if anybody has seen the car here sef? That tattered car, it doesn't even look like a car DAT cost 20million... He never change his car right from that time. I see the governor almost every week when he his going to Secretariat mosque. So how come that car cost such an exorbitant amount of money. Obanikoro, this is cheap publicity, pls prove your self?

FASHOLA IS AN EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR, ELECTED BY THE PEOPLE WHILE oDUAH IS APPOINTED BY AN INDIVIDUAL. His expenditure is appropriated by the State House of Assembly while Oduah's was not appropriated. CASE CLOSED.
