OMG What have i missed? Another pix encounter, Kitaun's rebuttal - which is by the way commendable except for the fact he did not criticize the originator - muki, and of course Mukina again is involved!!! Henry staying or leaving? He can barely decide. |

Getting our acts right in the first 3 matches would go a long way in boosting the morale of our guys in their quest for the EPL trophy next season. I could see us doing a double. Quote me anytime |

Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by dinozzo(m): 10:32pm On Jun 14, 2007 |
We play three derbies among our first 7 games, I think we should win those games there shouldn't be any excuse for dropping points in those games, though spurs are no pushovers. If things go tough for us in Blackburn we should get a point there that leaves Derby, portsmouth and man city games which are home games, should be easy for us to win them. 19 points from a possible 21 in our first 7 games is what I am expecting . |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by mukina2: 10:33pm On Jun 14, 2007 |
haa Nne .no after WC fever as my bruv said and no new home palavar . .they'll play well, go for the double as sir kay said |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by nnenneigbo(f): 10:50pm On Jun 14, 2007 |
i agree with u guys, we mustn't draw or lose period, or else the press starts andd the other contenders uses it as fuel. |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Iman3(m): 12:20am On Jun 15, 2007 |
I thought my sources were unreliable Arsène Wenger appears to have signalled his willingness to sell Thierry Henry by entering into negotiations with Barcelona for the first time. The Arsenal manager met Ferran Soriano, the Spanish club’s financial director, in Paris this week for preliminary discussions, though both parties remain some distance from agreeing Henry’s transfer. Wenger wants to sign Samuel Eto’o as part of the deal, but Barcelona are reluctant to allow the Cameroon striker to leave despite his problems at the club this season. Eto’o has fallen out with Frank Rijkaard, the coach, and Ronaldinho, his team-mate, but this week spoke of his desire to stay at the Nou Camp and play alongside Henry, whose arrival would represent a greater threat to the Brazil forward. Eto’o is a close friend of Henry and the pair have spoken recently about the prospect of forming a new strike partnership. Even if Barcelona were willing to release Eto’o in order to secure Henry’s services, they would demand at least £10 million from Arsenal to complete the deal. AC Milan are also interested in Henry, but Barcelona would be his preferred destination. Wenger’s surprising decision to speak to Barcelona stems from his realisation that he is running out of options, with Henry eager to take what many believe would be his final opportunity to move to Spain. Wenger may resolve to cash in on an unsettled player in any case, as he did when selling Patrick Vieira to Juventus two years ago. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premiership/arsenal/article1934934.ece |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by debosky(m): 12:50am On Jun 15, 2007 |
If a reputable magazine like France Football could make a claim of 3 year deal signed and sealed, I don't put it below Barca to also be planting stories in the English press. so they now want Henry PLUS 10 million quid right? I think someone had too many tequilas before sending out this story |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Iman3(m): 12:54am On Jun 15, 2007 |
debosky: In their calculation,Etoo is more valuable than Henry.Etoo is supposed to be 4 years younger than Henry, hence the £10 million.Keep up the denial,Henry has signalled he wants to go and negotiations are ongoing |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by kitaun(m): 12:59am On Jun 15, 2007 |
Debosky, are u surprised? They just must throw something juicy at their readership base! |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by debosky(m): 1:06am On Jun 15, 2007 |
I'm glad you used supposed I-man, cos we all know he's close to Henry's age, if not older sef negotiations are going on in someones dreams, Henry isn't going anywhere, unless they throw in at least 10million PLUS Eto'o |

@ Gunners Please could we move all Henry enquires to the Henry thread Lets take a look at our fixtures (Pre season and all) and Buys (anyone leaving can GO whether it is Henry or Gunnersaurus) Hmmm, the fixtures , well from what i have seen it couldn't be more easier for us (will explain what i mean later) GOONER 89 |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by loyika(m): 10:26am On Jun 15, 2007 |
@ Gunners sorry but just had to say this (after a short discussion with a Barca supporter in my office) If we get Eto and Ryan Babel signs, in conjunction with the new young keeper (to keep Crazy Jens on his toes). This could mean that Arsenal (could/would) have done if not the best, but one of the best deals this summer. Imagine Eto leading our attack line (with RVP as his strike partner and Wenger as his coach ) The thought alone is "ORGASMIC!!!" I LOVE ARSENAL ARSENE TRULLY KNOWS Thierry Henry who GOONER 89 |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by dinozzo(m): 11:18am On Jun 15, 2007 |
well it will be very sad losing Henry, can't imagine Arsenal without Thierry Henry for now. Ryan Babel will be a good signing for us, I hope we get him because we're lacking natural wingers. Hleb and Rosicky aren't supposed to be playing in that position as they're midfielders. |
