With all our arable land, we have no business importing rice and beans yet we import billions of naira worth every year. billions that can be ploughed back into our economy.

"God will provide" is the only SLOGAN we know. . . .If Nigeria lacks that rainfall(Iraq), sunshine(Kiev) and rivers(Libya). . . . .Our leaders would have worked a way around it since all these years and make sure everything works BUT they know if the water supply goes out. . . .People would dig boreholes or to the river and fetch water(there's always an alternative).

Corruption killed us, the military took away our rights, we had a flawed constitution force upon us. Religion simply became an available respite from all our troubles and not the cause of it.

I disagree with you. . . . . .Even as at Shagari regime, there were only 10,000 Nitel lines in the whole Nigeria.
We have no serious natural hazards in that country and yet we cannot be like UK-USA or even a war ravaged Japan.
It's pathetic. . . . . I cannot stop thinking if forward thinking people in Europe can lay their hands on the resources we have and waste.
Our independence wa a clear oversight. . . . .We shoulda waited till 2000 before thinking about becoming a republic.
